There has to be something done about facecamping

It’s ridiculous, all the people I introduce to dbd mobile lose interest because 1/3 games the killer facecamps the first hook. Just Make a killer depip or 5 min penalty when camping!

First of all, this is a forums for Console and PC, mobile has a discord I believe.

Second of all, the developers have said that camping is a tactic/strategy that they've got no intentions of changing.

Also also, it makes sense why people are facecamping:

    1. They are probably new new players, not only players coming from other consoles
    2. Probably people from Identity V where facecamping is basically required to win.

I'm not sure if mobile plays a lot different from PC, but people in my ranks complain about facecamping a lot as well- fortunately, it's very counterable.

If one player is getting facecamped, they'll rest on the hook for 120 seconds before they finally die. A generator takes (without items) about 80 seconds to get.

If each of 3 survivors is on a gen when the 4th one gets caught, they can each complete a gen with 40 remaining seconds. (They can each use this time to find another gen)

2 gens left for 3 survivors shouldn't be a problem.

Aside from that if you're dedicated to saving the solo survivor, you can pull a bait and switch for a save. If they're very dedicated, you can run Borrowed Time and both run separate directions.

This is all definitely counting on your team to help you, but this is a team game. Sometimes you have to lose a pip for the team!

Yes, there is... survivors need to do gens.

Facecamping does cause depip, you lose points in emblems when staying around the hook too long. If you find a facecamper, do gens, get out. Killer gets 1 kill and 100% depips. The only person that loses is the survivor but that's 3 survivor wins versus a killer who depips.

Most facecamping killers don't care about pips anyway though, which is why I say just bite the bullet, do gens and leave. I really don't know how it can be "deterred" anymore than it already is.

I doubt they mean standing directly in front of the hook nodding your head is a strategy. The solution there is to have slower entity progression if you're within 2 meters. That would be a change that does not punish camping overall but does punish a very specific type that 9/10 is just griefing.
