And Now imagine how impactful this is on low end PCs. My 60 fps are gone now. I play with 40 fps at best with this forced AA and vsync. Absolutly disgusting. Besides the blurry vision which makes it even worse

Even games on PS4 have more options than dbd on pc lol, can u imagine?

I have an extremely high-end PC and it still runs like trash on maps like Lery’s. I believe it’s something wrong with optimization.

I remember doing this only to very very old games like cod 1 to get a different aspect ratio (but it still tons of options tho) because newer titles have already everything in the options

Then why not give us some basic settings in-game to control it...?
We wouldn't need to go into game files to do these things if we were given basic options all other games have.

It doesn't effect console players at all. The game always had AA enabled on consoles and it will probably stay that way.

Anyone got a screenshot? I have't played the new update but it sounds like they used some poor AA if it's THAT bad.

I should add that using filters like Reshade or Nvidia Freestyle you can increase the sharpness of your game. It helps with the general blurryness that DBD has. Both are perfectly fine to use and not considered cheating by BHVR or EAC.

its just simple .. just give us an option to turn it off ......... O_O
People who used to play well in low settings are now literally being forced to play on HIGH or forced to see blurry textures
and not to mention the performance consumption caused by antialising in low pc users.

well i haven't played the game yet but this is going to be super frustrating for players with bad pc, i ain't playing with bad graphic and low fps.

i never did anything to the files other then deleting the loading video because it lag to much take to long but now playing killer feels way more laggy then normal we need some kind of lowing options my PC sucks.

alot of people don't have high end quality pc's, like me for example. I play dbd on a laptop and it was fluent and good looking without anti-aliasing. Still that I had to go into an .ini-file and change stuff, which is real embarrassing for 2020 imo. I imagine loads of potential players left the game, cause they didn't know how to handle the graphics with an .ini-file. So with the option of anti-aliasing maybe the player base will even rise.

Don't worry guys i saw a few youtubers searching for a fix on youtube , we just have to be patient cuz i doubt Bhvr will care about people with low end Pc

Why not have a normal settings menu like every other game rather than have "Good Graphics" "Bad Graphics" settings?

After spending hundreds of dollars in the game in skins and rifts I won't put an other penny in the game and won't even be launching it at all.
Thousands of hours playing both sides, streaming the game, making sure I try to "sell" the game as good and interesting when the devs won't work on actual problems and bugs but will make sure to destroy their fanbase. People have changed the .ini files for years. Huge streamers and FOGs even use configs and packs. When most of your players are complaining about one thing, changing something else won't help.
I won't be purchasing the new rift nor any feature anymore. Not worth it when you do everything you can to make sure we don't play no more.
It's the very first time in three years of playing that I feel like you really want to make everything worse, not listening and taking measures for no reasons.
When even your FOGs us'em, no one was complaining about it and bam. Nonsense

oh i know what you are now then. there is only one thing you can only be while you coming and defending DEVs about something even not irrelevant with the topic. If there is a problem, customers gonna talk about that problem. There is no reason to come here and say that ''Devs does not get congrats'' when they obviously not doing anything and are pretty bad about fixing main problems. Do not try to distort topic while we want to be heard by them.

Yeah i noticed , i mean he's a trusted member so he has to be devs side , main problem is clearly affecting a lot of people , anti aliasing is a big problem

I have to just say, playing both sides I literally noticed no difference in how the game looks and feels. Then again I usually play games with AA on rather than it off.

yeah it is. i don't have a problem with his side. its just annoying seeing him ignoring the main point about what we are talking about since yesterday. i can not play the game right now and im here to look for a solution and find an answer from Devs only.

I didn't simply say: "You should congratulate them.", you might wanna re-read that comment.
I also didn't defend them, as another one of my comments clearly states i don't like not having control over my graphic options, but you conveniently left that out.
I'm not distorting the topic, and me talking does not prevent you from being heard by them.

Accessibility settings are still not a thing after god-knows how long people have asked for them, imagine actually having -graphical- options in a 2020 game!
Let alone help motion-sick people instead of ignoring them like literally any problem that does not concern them... we're just gonna release surv and killer every three months cause yeah, that's more important than literally anything else.
Fixes come at such a slow rate that by the time this is partially fixed, we'll be at 2025, but they sure as hell bring a lot of rifts and cosmetics, right?
Don't even bother trying, they ignore literally anything that they could've fixed tons of months ago.

Your first comment was implying we should not be negative, and my response was that I can’t praise the developers for their efforts if I can’t play the game. You took that as me semi-accusing you of saying we should praise the developers when I really was trying to say I like what they did with the game but cannot play the changes at all. I think that’s what started that? It was never my intent to do so.
Either way, it’s not your fault for being more experienced on the forums and people shouldn’t attack you for being trusted.
Anyways, I got the NVIDIA game filter working in the in-game menu (Press Alt + F3 to bring up game filters). I put a sharpening filter at about 75% sharp and tp% film grain ignore and it looks much better, but there still is no excuse as to why I need to use NVIDIA just to play the game as well as have a ~20fps drop for a plastic film I don’t even want.

Huh, I would think overriding the anti aliasing on a game that has it baked in would case issues. I would also think that (technically) raising the AA level would have a greater performance hit, but maybe their AA is just bad?
EDIT: As I thought, Override DOES in fact only work on DX9 apps. Dunno how it would change the fps if you just use a filter, but I'm glad it worked out for you

I don't understand the "unfair advantage" argument. I don't know, maybe create AA settings for everyone so anyone could turn it off? This game has the most dog @#$% anti-aliasing I've ever seen. If I wanted to see a blurry image I would take out my contact lenses.

Not my video, but saw this posted elsewhere in the forums. But this is basically what they don't want you to do.
