Anyone else playing the big gal for basically the first time? How're you finding it?

I've been getting stomped but getting more hatchet hits than I expected...

I feel like im a pre-teen huntress main. It hurts starting off. Not as much as nurse but still not always fun

I've had the game for years but barely play her. For a moment I tried to main her but I'm just terrible with aiming on controllers.

However, I'm trying again since she's in the rift.

I always have fun with her, just find myself not using hatchets very often; same deal with the Deathslinger.

    I'm struggling badly

I'm so used to having killers who can walk faster than a turtle with two broken legs

My biggest issue is survivors who know this and then do those tiny baby loops that fail badly against a normal killer but are perfect against Huntress. You either take a year to catch up to them (only to have them slam the pallet down and start a new cycle at a different baby loop) or you abandon them and hope the next time you find them, they're not right next to another God damn baby loop...

I'm hoping it'll just take getting used to. I generally shy away from her for this very reason but The Rift I suppose gives me the excuse I need to try to get better with her.

I played Huntress for like two matches when I first started playing dbd and quickly decided never to play her again, but when Tome 3 was announced I decided to try playing her for the first time in over a year, it actually has been alot better than I expected. It's amazing how much of a difference increased sensitivity and a glob of blu-tac in the middle of my screen makes. In fact, I think I might have found my new main!

I mostly go in to my rookie huntress matches focused on landing hatchets and doing whatever huntress challenge I have. Mostly get wrecked and even my 2k was entity displeased. I am definitely not a good huntress especially pretty much running perkless. But I'm always bad at ranged combat because I can't hit the broad side of a barn so me being terrible at her is no surprise. I'm not any better with plague so meh

Also It's definitely weird playing a killer who's slow but without some sort of fast travel ability, and that also gives a lot of advance warning (the devs should've put in a huntress gen grab challenge just for shits & giggles)

When the hatchets land though it is extremely satisfying.

I'm not exactly a baby huntress, but I did give up on her after dedicated servers rolled out and I've been trying to pick her up again.

And it feels awful. I miss half my hatchets because I'm boosted, but some I miss even though the model hits the survivors. Others I hit even though my screen showed a clear miss! It's like I just cannot figure out what's right or wrong any more. I'm so confused half the time: did I make a bad play, did the survivor outskill me, or did I get some external factor? I know huntress' sheer power is still there, but something just feels off about her that makes relearning her so damn hard. But I'm still trying.

Rank 1 killer, but rank 20 huntress :)

I think i'm gonna play as her only for the rift. She's just not my type of killer.

    STOP! NO IDEAS PLEASE!!!!! LOL!

Anyone who hates traveling at turtle speed, put shadowborn on her. You still move at turtle speed but, it feels like your Billy. It messes aim up a little from what i hear. I dont know ive necer taken it off

the one thing that kills me all the time is, that her hatchets don't fly to the middle of the screen. i can adapt to the drop, but not that they fly slightly to the left.

My Huntress is like my Nurse. Half of the time, I'm a god and I hit all my shots. The other half of the time I'm a potato that hears the awful shlorp noise on the swamp more than I hear the survivor's injured screams. I wish killers like Huntress, Nurse or Spirit had seperate ranks from the rest of my killers. I'm also scared for my survivor challenges once the "4k with the Huntress" challenge comes out and every other killer I get will be an iridescent head + infantry belt + ebony mori.

My skill with huntress is almost none existent, I miss easy shots and miss hard shots even worse, if nasa could hire me to play huntress I could send the people out in space some food or something, worst part is that I've been playing this game for a very long time, but I use controller

Nope just re-learning with the new controller sensitivity. I prefer Deathslinger now anyway, more consistent than those buggy hatchets.

matchmaking is being kind as ever to me and giving me green/purple when playing my mains and rank 1s when trying to practice huntress.

Exciting update: I hit a Feng with a sick hatchet throw from about 40 metres away. Never mind that I was actually aiming for a different Feng that was right in front of me.
