Noed on facecamping leatherface
So let me get this straight to counter a facecamping leatherface you have to genrush (which even then a killer can maybe get a 2k already before you get the 5th gen done). And to counter noed you have to do bones. You dont have time to do both against a camper and thats what makes this combo so strong. Now that maps are getting fixed can we finally either do something about bubbas camp potential or noed?

You can't punish camping if they are using NOED.

Yeah you can... Do both. An extra 16 seconds won't hurt you. And if you choose to Gen rush, immediately do the bones that you annotated the locations of in your mind before you rush out in the open to do an exit gate.

If the killer gets their first down fast you can't. 16 seconds + the time it takes to find them for each totem will definitely give the killer enough time to get another down.

Can't be that fun tho, I'd rather lose with multiple hook actions and chases won, then "win" with 3 hooks and just standing in one place all game.

Time for a survivor to die on hook: 120 seconds
Time for 3 survivors to complete 5 generators: 160+ seconds
Time to cleanse dull totems: 70+ seconds
Just balance things 😅
(Also 40+ seconds of time for the chase? Guaranteed 2k here I come!)

Technically you still have the time. If you're unlucky enough to be his victim then you just have to face it. People play how they want. Use the experience to better prepare yourself in the future.
When my Small game goes off, if I feel I can't take that totem out right then and there I make a note of where it is. You don't need to do every totem you come across, you can basically influence where NOED would spawn by doing 1-2 totems.

Actually the game is not in the survivors hands. It's the killer who must chase and hook and put survivors on the clock. The only "time" the survivors have is how good they are at holding m1 on gens.

Leatherface kind of sucks, so I think you can loop him pretty well before going down. He's mostly a basic attack killer. I would think of a 1K as a victory for survivors..

I never said the survivors determine the game. The OP said there isn't enough time to do Gens, Save a hooked teammate and do totems. There is time, you just have to find it. Prioritize, if the killer is camping a hook, there is plenty of time to do generators and totems.

Yeah, people like the make excuses to keep toxic and unhealthy perks in the game unchanged. What's funny is the killers that defend noed are likely the same ones to cry about DS and adrenaline needing changes. All 3 need to be changed for the health of the game though

it's not 16 seconds. You have to find all the bones on the map. Can be a bit easier for a swf but that will ruin solo players. It's not just "do bones and do gens. It's easy." It's spend upwards of 2 minutes searching the entire map for bones checking every crack because some bone spawns are insanely hidden. Then spend the rest on gens, but good luck with that because the facecamping bubba has switched to their second victim

But it is easy. Granted I play red ranks on PC. So from all the times I've played, it is a complete rarity to meet a face camping bubba. But most of the times that I've played as a Solo, the team has conquered against Bubbas rocking Insidious and NOED. Hell it's even rarer, but all 4 of us have escaped too. It's possible, you just have to adjust according based on map and players.

Are those numbers influenced by perks and items? Or are they base times. If 1 survivor is being face camped for 120 seconds and it takes 160 to finish 5 generators with 3 on each than the 40 second difference IS in the survivors hands. That time is determined on your ability to loop, pallets available, and other tools at your disposal.
I already said that you don't necessarily need to cleanse all 5 totems, but once again it's in the survivors hands to either take that risk and do all 5 or influence the location of where NOED would spawn if the killer had it.

I agree it's not impossible. Especially if you get lucky enough in solo queue to not get stuck with people that somehow clambered to rank 1-4 without knowing how to play. I just think it's improbable. Otz recently did a stream at rank 1 killer with noed and facecamped. He got 4ks every game except 1 and it was a swf that did all luck offerings to kobe and had builds to counter it. Not meta builds. I main killer and I've always seen noed as just a second chance perk to reward poor gameplay on the killers part. Just like many of the second chance perks reward bad survivors. I don't think perks like that are healthy for the game personally.

It’s the same thing with killers who run moris and NOED. The only way to win against a mori is to slam gens as fast as possible, you’re unlikely to have enough time to do any totems as well unless the killer is just straight up hopeless.

You can just say that Survivors should be better prepared in case they’re the first to be spotted and need to be better at looping and wasting the Killers time. Not the Killers fault that people Can’t last 5 seconds into a chase.

The time to do bones can take up to 70 seconds in total - THATS nearly a whole gen if you’re doing it by yourself. This stuff adds up

Funny how so many choose to just completely ignore how this conflicts. Counter to NOED eliminates the counter to camping. Any survivor who cleanses dulls while the killer is facecamping is throwing an already garbage game and a useless teammate. Anybody who says otherwise I can 100% guarantee would not be rooting on survivor teammates running around totem hunting while they are camped. That’s a joke, come on....everyone would be calling them idiots and probably consider suiciding out. Everyone gets mad when they aren’t all on gens.
I have always thought for this reason, that NOED needs a requirement....nothing major but just something to prevent this scenario which is very common. For example, only survivors who’ve been hooked become exposed? At least the killer would need to hook each survivor to get the full effect....I don’t know. Just something.

OhTofu made a good suggestion quite some time ago. His suggestion was to remove the Hex-Status of NOED and give the Killer 0,5% movement Speed per Hook and after a certain number of Hooks possibly the Insta-Down (both active after all Gens are done). This would make NOED actually rewarding. And it would remove this useless Totem Hunt. Cleansing is sadly worthless unless all 5 Totems are gone. And in fact, finding NOED afterwards is even harder then, because the Totems which were easy to find are already gone.

Yeah I’d be good with that too. Aside from the camping thing, NOED is definitely not balanced if an actual good killer decides to use it, especially playing solo. Spend time on totems and you’ll just lose the game before the gens are even done. They do need to rework it, especially now with the map changes.

Don't forget that this is already hard to manage in swf, solos stand no chance against this combo. It's a guaranteed 2k, but often a 3k

Yeah especially if no kindred you could spend a good 15 seconds going for the save realize hes face camping then have to spend time going back to a gen. Theres just no way unless you can like literally distract the killer for as long as possible but i played a game last night where i did distract the killer for like 2 minutes and he still got the 4k because of noed and gate spawns.

If the killer is camping then how is he able to kill 2 people?
Was he on the same half of the map as the hooked Survivor or just a few meters away from the hook?
Either way if an actual camper downs you I would say it's due to your inability to sense clear danger.

Bubba is not very strong so facecamping + Noed is a pretty good strategy. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Easy. You’re blaming the survivors? Camp first hook...unlikely especially in solo queue that all gens will get done and gates will be opened during this time. Get another hook after that and camp. If you waste time on dull totems, you could give him a third...so you are forced to risk NOED wiping you out. That’s the entire point of this discussion. A NOED camper can’t be countered as countering the camp by slamming gens eliminates the counter to NOED. It’s a common scenario where NOED really is BS. And if you try to counter NOED, you are probably handing him another kill by wasting too much time off gens.

Not a bad suggestion, but I'd prefer it be tied to a totem still. Perhaps a certain number of hooks required and a new totem is spawned when the 5th gen pops.

That adds on more time giving the killer more kills so he still wins even without noed. So like youve been told multiple times noed makes it so you cant counter camping and camping makes it you cant counter noed. Counter to noed is taking more time to do the bones while the killers already probably camped to death 2 people. And counter to camping we just genrush him okay thats fine the 5th gen pops about right when the 2nd survivor dies on the hook to camping and he goes and noed hits the 3rd survivor and camps him with the chainsaw. Easy 3k.

Depends on the exit gate spawns and like its been stated the second survivor will die before the last gen pops so the chance of him getting a 3rd with noed is high.

if you do gens fast enough, and the first person loops well, it is probable that the killer only gets 1k, maybe 2. and the exit gates has nothing to do with NOED, that should be changed in its own right

Im saying if the exit gates spawn on the same side its easy for the killer to confirm another kill thanks to rng. And yes it should. But yes what you said is possible but with solos think about them coming over to save you realize the killers camping then they have to go back and find genies or them moving from gen to gen. Travel times a big thing. And if he does get a 2k thats considered a win by the devs right so he did things right by camping apparently?

there are many perks you can take in order to see if the is camping, and perks to counter against it. the thing is, yes travel time should be considered because it does sometimes find a whiel to find gens, but it also takes time for the killer to find the survivor and then, as ive said, if the survivor is good enough, can loop the killer for several gens.
Yes there isnt really too much counterplay with facecamping leatherfaces with noed specifically. if you get caught, 9/10 times your dead. but if your good, only you will die (maybe 2). what im saying is if 3 people die to that then frankly its the survivors fault.
also a 2k isnt necessarily a win anymore, ive had a 4k many times and de-pipped.

In my experience its more of a guaranteed 2k since you can easy camp to death 2 survivors because 3 cant get 5 gens done in 120 seconds. Then when you find the 2nd person and start camping them thats 2 people left working on gens. Then boom when the rest of the gens are done probably that survivor dies on hook and you just go check the gates or somewhere with noed find a 3rd noed hit him down and facecamp him. Suggest you watch otzs stream where he gets like guaranteed 3ks the whole time.

Barring current matchmaking issues - many of these toxic turds intentionally hang back at lower ranks. The odds of having good loopers in that rank bracket are pretty low. Players who intentionally Facecamp from the start of the match are not in it to win. They are merely trying to ruin other people's game experience. They don't care about rank or BP. They know they can't pull this stuff at red ranks, so they stay where lower skilled players are.
