Why do killers like to 1 hook Mori?
Idk I think it’s unfair... The devs should just remove keys and moris. Both are unfair but I’m leaning more towards the 1 hook mori. I feel like the devs should only allow Ivory moris or cypress moris or just make the survivor have 4 hook stages instead of 3 only when the killer brings an Ebony Mori. I get that some killers like the animation or whatever but let’s be real while the mori’s may look cool, I feel like killers bring it just to be an A**hole to be honest. Sometimes killer will even say “Gg Ez” to a survivor after tunneling them off hook. I’m not one of those toxic survivor mains btw before anyone calls me that, I play both sides at rank 1 and I think that this topic should he discussed. What do you think of Keys and Moris?

why do survivors like to last second switch on a key?
cause they are toxic. thats it. toxicity is the answer.

To punish the unbelievably broken and OP thing called "Survive With Friends", to do a daily, or to try fighting back against an unfair genrush.
7 -
While I agree that It can be useful in a powerful SWF. Some killers will bring it in a solo que with survivors that cannot last 5 seconds in a chase.
1 -
When I don’t wanna sweat, and have a easy game to get a quick daily done.
Like Myers... I dislike playing Myers... But love Piggy and GF
0 -
Have you tried using mori on death hook??
It's literally impossible
Survivors gen rush even more once they realize they are going against a mori
6 -
That's when you go into movie simulator mode and mori them on their 3rd down, I play this game for the horror elements and that's a pretty great thing to do if I want to see the animations. I prefer to use moris like that but survivors are so op you often don't get to play nice and not get trolled
3 -
Killers that can end chases quickly and that apply good map pressure or even 1 shot killers such as Billy, Oni, Bubba, etc. will still bring in a mori when it would it wouldn’t be necessary. I understand a daily but other than that I don’t know.

Killers don't like to. Douchebags do.
6 -
try it then
play a fair mori, you will see at least 3 escapes since survivors will work harder to escape

They don't care or...they do care and want to feast on some salt.

I hate keys and moris, and never use them personally usually avoiding them on the bloodweb unless im forced to take them but if I see a survivor take a key I will most likely pick a mori to counter it if I do happen to have one on hand, if they want to rob me from my bloodpoints by escaping 2 gens into the game ima not let them get any bloodpoints either.
Its a petty thing like that but it works both ways and I hate how its a thing in the game, for extra saucyness I pick hag so that I can then trap the corpse of the key carrier preventing everyone else from picking it up. If they dont have it I'll avoid using the rest of the mori (if i picked an ebony) on the others since they no longer have the advantage.

No one likes keys, no one likes moris.
Cypress moris should be base for dailies.
Broken keys should last 30 seconds for aura reading.
2 -
This makes absolutely no sense.
A mori cuts 2/3rds of a survivors gameplay. A key has its use when at least gens are done.
And even if the last survivor uses a key to escape when you've 3'ked, why are killers so high and mighty and feel entitled to get their 4k?
Take the 3k and stop complaining. And no, the 3 escape through hatch doesn't happen every match, it's quite rare.
3 -
Does it really matter anymore? You can Mori on last hook and people will complain. It's a game you brought play it the way you want and assume others will too. If keys and Moris were removed I think the game would be better functioning. Both of them are arguably broken by short cutting the objective and shortening the match.
Key requires no skill or even doing anything, but at least the killer has to down a survivor and get them to a hook.
1 -
Because they have no skill, imo should be changed to be used after the second hook
4 -
Fear.
It's nice to have survivor scared of me once in a while instead of pallet touring or looping around the same cosntructor with no plays, chain or tactics attempts until I fall asleep.
1 -
This. 100%.
2 -
From a strategic perspective, the best move in 1 vs 4 match is to remove 1 of the 4 as quickly as possible.
2 -
Sometimes if I just really need to get that mori daily done on a weak killer I do so if I don't think there's any other way to win. Not going to say no to 60k bp even if it's on someone I don't want to play.
0 -
Completely agree . You can ask why do survivors all jump on one gen to get it done as fast as possible.
0 -
Because they want an easy game, not a challenge.
0 -
If you're interested in being an anti social turd, this makes perfect sense. Survivors are not npcs they are people. Only someone who has never been tunnel mori'd would defend it, try playing survivor

So I'm killing real people in the game ohh no my mom's gonna be so pissed. Oddily enough I have died alot playing this game but I think I am still alive.
0 -
I only ever do it to those who do annoying BM.
0 -
I mean no survivor is entitled to 3 lives so its not like a mori robs anyone of anything. Its better odds to kock out the team as much as possible because pressuring 4 players and 5 gens as a single being is systematic impossible considering the gen kick base does nothing
So it's better to tunnel out the players 1 by 1 to have a chance at winning...

Just let one escape due to a mechanic every game idiot.
The mechanic itself isn't my biggest issue. My issue is with the trash that abuses it then acts as if they did anything difficult. Moris, keys and hatch in general.

Which the funny thing about the mori daily is, killing someone using something like rancor does count for the daily. Got it done that way on spirit a fair few times. Of course for someone like clown or a killer you might not play alot on. Well might be easier to get a mori, than spending who knows how many blood points to get a perk just for one daily.
0 -
I mostly play killer, but i did take 4 survivors up to level 50 and would play here and there as survivor. I've been tunneled, mori'd...everything under the sun that is allowable by game mechanics and game rules. I never had a problem with it.
1 -
Simply to have a relaxed match afterwards
0 -
Technically keys require the survivor team to complete generators and the individual survivor has to find hatch.
1 -
If I owned spirit or the perk I'd probably use rancor for it as it seems like a fun perk but I don't. I'm still relatively new so have very few teachables making things pretty rough sometimes. Until then mori time for those.
0 -
Doesn't take much skill to hold m1 for 80 seconds at a time, and then creep around the map looking for the hatch.
0 -
Moris are played by no talent aholes. The end. You're wrecking someone else's game because you suck. Great times to be had by all.
2 -
Beiing able to survive while doing so isn't exactly braindead.
0 -
Omg you got a whole 4 survivors to level 50! Teach me the ways of your elite knowledge of this game!
0 -
Heck, if you have my luck with rng for blood webs. That would most likely be the cheaper way of getting it done as well. I had to spend like half a million blood points, just to get pop on my Oni. I think i came across like a fair few moris, before i even saw pop show up once on my Oni's bloodweb.
0 -
Well of course you can't be brain dead. Not alot of games brain dead people can play.
1 -
I feel like maybe dbd is too frustrating for you. Maybe you need a break. I hear Animal Crossing doesn't have moris...
2 -
Its a ######### video game. I dont need to fear anything.
0 -
Sorry your wrong no one has to do a gen or be productive for a key. The only thing a key requires is for you to outlast anyone else. The only thing correct is the hatch part and even then play the game enough you get a feeling for where they spawn or you can use a perk. Keys are about as skillless as you can get.
It's like the old days when the game started. Occasionally the killer was able to move first and could speed stalk enough to tombstone someone really quickly because everyone spawned super close.
1 -
If you outlast everyone hatch already opens
0 -
I will use a Mori for the simple fact that sometimes I feel like seeing Myers stab people and kill them like Myers, instead of being only a hook machine for some damned entity. And yeah, it's 1 hook and mori. I brought it to see the animation and the "fantasy," not keep hooking and pray I get to use it.
2 -
Ivory moris aren't necessarily better? I got tunneled off hook because I was unlucky enough to be hooked first (even though we had left the area and the killer found the other person first AND HIT THEM AS WELL), and the killer had an ivory mori. I ended the game with 3k BP, and I've never been more angry about a mori in my life. It was also a clear cinematic, and I LOVE the mori cinematics, but I was so pissed off about getting tunneled when I shouldn't have been, just so this guy could get his one mori (which like??? I'm not good at looping, and not I'm moriable for the rest of the game, he easily could have gotten me another time).
Solution: all four survivors must be hooked once before moris can start. Or at least more than one survivor so that the poor first-hooked can't get farmed and tunneled and mori'd without even getting the chance to earn more than boldness BP.
1 -
Keys to prevent situation where the killer closes hatch or if you know the other survivors were productive and u can just nope it with a key.
0 -
I only use morri if i get bm'd the last match and just wanna stomp
0 -
not quite, a mori cuts away one third of the survivor gameplay.
in a normal game the survivor has to go down 3 times to die. in a mori game he has to go down twice.
dunno how you got the two third idea, honestly.
and yeah, considering the key is ONLY used by the last survivor to escape you are right. ill gladly just take the 3k and move on.
usually keys arent used like that tho.
keys usually just end up punishing the killer for playing nice and / or efficient.
a single key forces me to eigther play suboptimal and only tunnel down the key user, or it forces me to lose when i play normal and dont kill the key user before the hatch requirement is met (=> playing nice (no tunnel / camp) and playing efficiently (killing players)).
a mori might shorten the game by a certain amount, however keys actively punishes killers for doing well.
both shouldnt work like they currently do, both are WAY too powerful.
i dont think there is anything to discuss with that statement tbh.
1 -
I'd say it's half of the survivor gameplay, because survivors need to be downed AND hooked three times to be sacrified normally, a mori only need two downs and one hook. A down isn't a confirmed hook because of ds, flashlight or pallet safes or body blocking.
0 -
Because people who bring one that isn't intended for challenges or daily rituals more than likely just feel like hooking each person twice isn't enough, let alone 3 times, so they have to reduce the amount to 1 per person. That's the only reason I can think that people might just bring a mori and 1 hook kill everybody: they just can't keep up with everyone else. That or they're over-compensating for something...
Not that every killer bringing a mori is like this. I've run against plenty of killers that will hook twice, and only end up using a mori when the survivor would be dead anyway (for the style points or whatever.) That's perfectly fine, but that isn't what the subject here is.
0 -
Because survivors can do 5 gens in 6 mins
1 -
Because against even a half decent team the killer needs to remove one person off the map rapidly in order to stand a chance, given how garbage most of the killers available to play as are.
I used to hate moris too, then I played killer and now I understand.
