Is it worth learning deathslinger

For a while now I have been debating this and idk he seems decent but with mobility and most of the loops in the game being to tall to shoot my spear over so I need an opinion on this and I have made a post in the past ghostface vs deathslinger but compared to faceghost he feels way to slow

If you can be precise, he's an amazing killer. He takes effort to learn, but once you do he really is a threat.

If you can get really good with quick shots, he's lethal at loops.

You don't need mobility, if you can keep pressure by quickly downing survivors.

He is not the strongest of killers. The hit boxes for him are very narrow when comparing it to say the huntress where all you need is to be within 10 meters of someone to hit them. But, I am having more fun playing as him than I have playing any other killer in a long time. I play at rank 1 with no addons for him and i average probably 3k per game.

I'd learn huntress over deathslinger. Deathslinger shots need to be pixel perfect, hatchet hitboxes are the size of a truck. Huntress can do cross-maps once you are really good, deathslinger reelings can be stopped by a random box sitting on the ground. Huntress can actually down people over pallets.

I would play ghostface over the slinger any day, ghostface will also make you get better with almost every other killer since he is purely M1. Deathslinger will make you get better at.....deathslinger.

Debatable..hes fun but he wastes too much time to be viable imo

Learn huntress she is way more rewarding as a long ranged killer

No you cant keep pressure by quickly downing survivors, unless every survivor is incredibly altruistic it doesn't happen because they can just do gens while one survivor bleeds out on hook. Also Deathslinger can't get quick downs since his power is so unreliable

    That depends on you.

Quickly end a chase, then head on to the next survivors and interrupt their work. You don't need to only pick one and chase either, if you know where a few of them are spread the damage and apply pressure.

If you struggle with finding them after hooking, bring more tracking perks. I personally prefer Thrilling Tremors or BBQ.

Plenty of people say he's not a very strong killer. But as of late when I was trying to do Tome 1 over the last week. Deathslinger despite never really playing him before is probably my most consistent killer now. I haven't had a ton of great games with other killers. But I think I've 4k'd every game with Deathslinger. I think he's pretty strong at least. So I'd suggest giving him a chance. Feel like he's a newb stomper for sure. Not sure if he'd be the greatest against really good survivors.

I would say its worth it, the challenge is sufficient to make winning feel good.

So far the play style that has worked best for me is use Monitor & Abuse with the already low Terror Radius and get in close for the first hit and then use the chain to bring them back for the down. Keeping chases short mitigates his slow speed.

I love him, one of my top favorite killers based on fun factor. He is definitely fun IF you can hit your shots. If your bad as fps games it will be painful to learn. He is a 110 killer with no movement powers so your shots need to be on point and your chases quick.

If your bad at shots then Clown would be a more viable killer with his 115 speed.

Easily in the Top 5 Killers bracket right now. Nobody wants to play against him because chases heavily favor Deathslinger with little input from survivors. He isn't particular hard to learn either and very fun to play as. When all else fails, just spam ADS and watch survivors dodge into you.

Deathslinger is a very easy Killer, so there really isn't much to learn, but even then, he's not that good. He can only 1v1 when it comes to chases, and contrary to what low-ranks who can't spread out and do gens think, just because a Killer is good in a chase doesn't make up for the fact that they're 110 speed with no bonus mobility. Even his strongest ability, his chase, is hindered by the fact that he has to reload after every shot.

He's worth learning if you want to have fun without regards to ranking up/winning. But if you're more on the competitive side, you should definitely put in the effort to learning Huntress if you want a ranged Killer.

No idea what people are smoking in this thread but Deathslinger is definitely one of the best killers in this game. Why learn a killer that has fair counterplay and a windup to her ranged attack when you can play one that is so fast survivors are unable to react to it, leaving virtually no counterplay? He's like spirit but requires some actual effort in that regard.

If you wanna reel like a fisherman run him.

Deathslinger is like the wallmart version of Huntress.

But as long as you have fun with him, it's worth playing him.

    He's not even hard...

People really underestimate him. He can be very good if people underestimate him and where he can shoot. He can even shoot through shack wall (through the holes in the sides), and it is good to catch people with that.

On the other hand, Ormond is a huge irritation, as well as other big maps...

Id say learn him so you can do the daily, at least. If you don't have fun, then at least you tried him out...

I don't know why you would compare Deathslinger and Ghostface, they're completely different.

Deathslinger is in a really good spot now that the maps have been adjusted. Would recommend learning him as he's quite powerful in the right hands but takes effort to learn.

Deathslinger is more defensive than most Killers. Low mobility means he cant spread pressure over any given map, but where he can put pressure it is very high thanks to being 60% immune to loops.

Deathslinger is closer to Nurse than Huntress in my opinion. He simply does as he wants whenever possible with much Survivors can do but maybe dodge.

Take a bit of learning and luck with maps. But I hold Deathslinger as another viable Killer.

He's fun and with a bit of practice he's good, so I'd say yes.
