We should remove 4 % and instead have this mechanic
Every time you make a safe unhook you get a 2% chase to escape the hook alone and 3 sec more time in the second stage of the hook.

Anything encouraging people to do that horrible idea is automatically a No from me. In normal situations a kobe attempt is pretty much never worth attempting.
Only thing worse than that is actually making it more likely to succeed.

Yes but if you read the second part you get 3 sec on the second face for every safe unhook you make in the game.

I don't think I like this.
The percentage is low. This could encourage people to hook farm to get their stack.
It also doesn't matter if you add any time to the second phase if all survivors get hooked, as they all now immediately die when in 2nd phase. Its a waste of time/points.

The second stage is long enough as it is. There doesn't need to be any buffs to it. Not to mention THAT buff. You could potentially increase your hook stage time by another 18 seconds. There is also a perk that already adds a lot of time to that stage.

That would encourage farming too much imo, this could be a nice addition to Deliverance tho.

It feels very cheap when you Kobe and it's a free second chance ( but not grande). At the same time if we say need to earn anything in the game like kills or hooks why don't we put the same logic to the survivors too?

Because the game doesn't revolve around survivors getting free unhooks.
It's risk/reward situation.

I kinda like the 4% chance, i'm very, very lucky :)
Last week i stopped waiting for people to save me (i was playing with friends so they knew that i'm gonna skip the first stage of the hook for a chance of a kobe), i unhooked myself 17 times out of 19 games. 17 TIMES in a row without any luck offering or perk. This was just an experiment with my friends, if i'm playing solo and no one is near for a rescue, i just try to kobe and 90% of the time i succed :) Who needs deliverance when i can 4% every damn game lol

I had a similar experience where my luck sky rocketed for like 2 days. I literally unhooked myself every game during that time which must have been like 15ish games. I did end up getting into the second stage a lot after that tho.

That's the thing right now the 4 % is a nether skillful or good mechanic. With this idea, survivors will need to make a safe hook if they want to have extra benefits. At the same time if survivors rush hooks with BT and the killer don't camp we can punishes survivors for doing that.
And if you don't like this idea then thinking about it like this why we expect from killer to do skillful thing in order to get any kind of rewords but from survivors we don't ?

I'm not really sure what the aims to solve. One safe unhook would bring you back to the same chance as it is now. If someone decides to slap on Borrowed Time and unhook a bunch of people, they would have a much higher chance to unhook themselves than they do now. The end result either way is the same; they still have a chance to escape the hook.
Though again, I'm not really sure what this is meant to solve in the first place. I very rarely hear any complaints about self unhooks.

It's a decent idea as a Perk, maybe even just a replacement buff for Slippery Meat, but by no means something baseline. It's fine the way it is.

I personally would connect it with chase time. Every minute you text chased gives you 1% bonus. This reflects your skill much and you actually would deserve it the higher the chances are. Especially when you keep in mind that many killers are pissed at you when you give them a long chase and they start camping you.

Also the current system feels so much more rewarding when you get that 4%. Heck even as Killer I'll let you go free if you pull off the 4%.

Maybe a good buff to monstrous shrine would be to cut the chance by 50%? I really love the idea of monstrous shrine, even if it's a really weak perk.
I probably notice the kobe's more when I am running it since I am dedicating a whole slot to attempting to stop them. But it's awful when you spend 3+ generators as say trapper, getting the traps set up to finally get 3+ people down there; only to get slapped with a single kobe into multiple BT's / DS's and just lose the game because of it.
