Should Face camping be bannable ?
Face camping is really annoying and I don't why it is not bannable, by bannable I don't mean pernament ban just something like a small punishment or maybe a warning. Today I played 3 games and in 2 of them I had those face campers that face camped me for no reason. I wasn't toxic at all never spammed my flashlight nor t-bagged. He just stayed and when he saw a survivor nearby he didn't chased him or did anything about it he just stayed next to me until I got sacrificed... at that point I just closed the game and went to play something else because that's not fun. I know that new players do that but the problem is when the high rank killers start to do that and it is just annoying and frustrating. My teammates repaired like 3 generators while I was on the hook and I completely understand that since they couldn't do anything to save me. I got saved once from the hook but he hit me immediatly after I got off the hook and proceeded to hang me again instead of chasing the guy who saved me.

No, not bannable, not fun but not bannable.
They just need to make it so people can still save verses insta downs, that way you can at least get tunneled instead of just camped.

Hold on and let your teammates do gens in safety, the Killer won't get more than a 2k if they don't suck, probably just a 1k since campers suck at chases. If your teammates just sit around the hook staring at you, ######### and move on.

You want to tell me that killers are not crying about people spamming their flashlights ? They think that you are ''bullying'' them while you try to attract the killer to yourself so that the other survivors can repair generators. So spamming flashlight is basically considered toxic but tunelling and face camping is not ?

I mean, when I get slugged I don't enjoy it either, but do I think it should be bannable? Absolutely not. Is it against the rules? Absolutely not.
Facecamping, it's the same. It's not an enjoyable thing to have happen, but if you want to be a team player you can just tough it out and stick around for your team.

Lol. It's time to delete the game also leave this forum because it seems like the community is just awful. I wanted to share my experience with face camping and how annoying this is to the other people but it seems like with this community nothing will work out and the devs will keep listening to the killer mains and keep nerfing the survivors. Don't bother to even reply on my comment because I won't see it.

Well... survivor main here
i think sometimes you need to facecamp because of reasons (gates are open etc)
but i cant understand people who facecamp right at the beginning when there are 5 gens unpowered i just dont get the point
the most fun thing in dbd imo is chasing or getting chased but some killer love being scummy.
imagine you wait 10 minutes for a lobby and get facecamped for 2 minutes this is imo really disrespecful.
when finding a match wouldnt take that long i wouldnt mind it. but i just think its not fair.
i prefer to get tunneled where i can do something about it then getting just facecamped what has literally no counter, especially when you play solo.
should be there a punishment? Yes, should it be bannable ? No.
and losing ranking points isnt enough because nobody cares for it. a better option would be that the hook timer gets increased when the killer is staying in a radius of 10 meters or something.

How is the killer forced to stay near the hook? If there is a survivor nearby they have the freedom to chase/down them.

I understand what you’re saying, but if you have a free chase why are you choosing to defend the hook rather than add additional pressure?
No one is forcing you to stay at the hook because you see 2 survivors in full view. Pick one to chase and go with it. It’s not a hard concept to grasp.

I mean, this entire community seems to be built around, "The killers aren't doing what we want, you guys need to read our survivor rulebook!" so I'm not surprised.
"Tunneling" being something that people actually unironically complain about is all the evidence we need of that.

I don't even think what that person said is that "awful." Maybe it could have been worded better, but they bring up fair points. If you barely made an account, and you made it only to post about punishing facecamping or whatever, then it's kind of silly. They're right when they say we get a lot of posts like this on the forum, so it's not like we haven't heard it all before.
I don't dismiss your rough game because I hate when it happens too, but you have to just take the emotion out of it and just try to see the points they bring. I mean, if people are being needlessly toxic, then of course they're not going to have any points and they're going to be easy to ignore anyway. But I don't think this person was trying to be mean or anything, it's just kind of silly to make a fresh forum account to post about something that's constantly posted about...

It is annoying but I don't see how it could ever be something they ban over. It would have to be reported and looked into to ban over it. Now go play killer for a day and see all the messages you get calling you a trash camper even when you're not even close to camping and then imagine how many reports bhvr would be going through every day. They would have to employ more people than Apple.

There is nothing wrong about camping in this game. I'ts a tactical way to get a kill. If someone is camping the hook then the other survivors should be doing gens. It's simple. Not every survivor escapes in this game.

It is a strategy against too altruistic teams. Like if you know other 3 survivors are near the hook why should you leave to patrol the gens when you know nobody is working on it?
But hey if camping should be bannable then make gen rushing bannable as well 😂

Here we go again. here's a tip too counter face camping: do the gens. There is literally nothing stopping you from just gen rushing him, so he either has too play the game normally or he looses. Yes it sucks, but it doesn't happen every game, so get over it and do gens when they are face camping.
All you will do is ban people for being swarmed and being forced too face camp. Yes it's annoying, but it is a strat and once you start forcing people too play a certain way then you kill the fun the game has, because once camping gets banned then it's tunneling, then it's slugging, then it's gen rushing, and then the game is dead because no one can play the game anymore.

They’re working on matchmaking, they have repeatedly stated that.
As for camping, don’t blame the Devs, blame the Survivors who would abuse any mechanics that would discourage camping.
You also have the option of getting nag better at the game and do your best to not get caught. Isn’t that the point of the game?

Facecamping should never be bannable but it is punishable, as in you do the objectives while the killer is basically afk at a hook. Yes it's unfun and boring to play against and arguably as but it's a part of the game as much as getting stunned by a pallet or the killer spawning close to you at the start. The only "preventable" measure you can take against facecamping is to not be toxic as at least for me I only facecamp when someone was really annoying.

This is the first time I'm experiencing this horrible matchmaking (I play on xbox) so I've let some steam off on here like most ppl do...
I don't care if they camp their just not good at the game and it can be because as you said the toxic survivors, but also because they dont take the time to learn killer. What I don't like is when they camp and then hit the survivor who just came off and the unhooked survivor had no chance to do anything. Once you get unhooked you are forced to stand there and take that hit and then get hooked again. If you cant see why thats not fun nor fair then you must be bias. Only counter to that is if the teammates brought BT and maybe DS. Other than that your forced to have a bs match.
I know what I am doing as a survivor and everyone who plays survivor gets caught (not every game)... I dont care if I survive or not, I just want to play and not sit on a hook the whole game... also playing solo and with the terrble matchmaking we currently have, you get teammates who have no clue what their doing so odds are Im dying on that first hook... not fun

I never said that it was fun to be camped. I agree that it’s not fun, but it does have counters (Unless it’s Leatherface). The Killer doesn’t owe you a fun game, the onus is on you to make it fun for yourself.
Im horrible at looping Killers, and when I get caught, I get aggravated as well, but I’m not going to rage at the Killer. It’s my fault that I didn’t buy my team much time to do gens. It’s also aggravating that Survivors rush the hook and just hide around it when they see the Camper. Instead they should just rush gens. If more Survivors rushed gens when a Killers camp, the less you will see campers.
Right now, camping is an option for Killers because Survivors keep feeding them.
