Second accounts
Are second accounts banable? Say I want to get better as a killer but it's impossible to do so at my current rank, besides being awful are 2nd accounts punishable?

No? I don't see why it would be, alt accounts are used by plenty of people.
As long as you aren't avoiding a ban for griefing, hacking, violating any terms and conditions (such as messing with in game files to change the UI and replacing icons) etc.
If you're worried about being called out for smurfing, I guess technically smurfing is a bit of a scummy thing to do, but it's certainly not something you could get banned for. And it's obviously less scummy / almost understandable if you're only doing it to learn killers you aren't good with, IE I've made it to Rank 1 with killer but I'm absolutely awful at Nurse.
This is actually something the community has repeatedly brought up again and again, just because you are good with one killer you main doesn't mean you're good at every killer, and if you climb high enough because you're that skilled with that killer it might make learning new killers a bit difficult. But this is a pretty complicated issue with many sides, so I won't go into depth for it since it's somewhat unrelated to your question.
Short answer: no.

A lot of streamers open admit to having multiple accounts so they can play at multiple ranks and have better que times. You should be fine.

Smurfing is something done in EVERY pvp game. The more awful the high rank gameplay is the more likely is it that people create smurf accounts. I did it myself in apex legends. I started versing the sweatiest people with multiple thousands of hours while I just had maybe 20 hrs of experience. So I crested smurf accounts to play against noobs like myself till to the point I had enough experience to play against the sweatballs.
It's normal and shouldn't be bannable.

It's a feature by Steam through family sharing and not bannable on our end.

I think second accounts are better used so your queue times as survivor are more bearable. At night, they start reaching 10 minutes for me at rank 1 so I just swap over to my Rank 18 account where queues are instant.

Ps4 has instant killer queues even at rank 8

Wish they'd fix the ranking system tho. Like some playing among different colors but not yellow vs. Red

Nope. it's kinda scummy since you'll be fighting people with little too no game sense, but it's not bannable. Only exception is if you are avoiding a ban/penalty, but otherwise you can have 20 accounts and not be banned.

Yeah, I don't see why they would be bannable. If people can leave the game for 6 months and have fully upgraded level 3 meta builds, then me making a second account so my rank 20 mates never verse MY killers is kind of reasonable. And I even specifically go with underpowered perks because of it.
