Hatch shouldn't spawn so players can't camp on it
I think the hatch shouldn't spawn at all until you can escape through it to avoid survivor camping it when players die.
Again, I've just lost out on the 4th kill because the survivor knew where it was and camped on it to escape.
The 3rd survivor knew he was going down so went to the opposite side of the map to what the hatch was. Go downed there so I had to hook him there. I didn't have enough time to go across the map to the other side to where the hatch had spawned before the survivor escaped.
Why are killers being punished for the hatch showing up to early?
Stop the hatch showing up to avoid survivors getting an easy escape.
EDIT: I forgot to write that the 3rd and 4th players was both rank 1 survivors probably playing together.
When the survivor went to the other side of the map, they also t-bagged me before they went down.
Your thoughts on this are welcome.

Im fine with it as it is. They already have to complete three gens to get there, and I rarely depip when I get a 3k.

Soon as I hooked the survivor the 3rd survivor, they jumped hatch before I could get to it. 1 gen still needed to do.

Close it if we get to it in time. How we suppose to hook a survivor then cross map to hatch and then close it before they jump it? They're camping next to it. Please explain how am I suppose to close it from other side of map?

And? You can't get a 4k every game... I know how irritating it is though.

It's not about 4 kills. It's about swf running cross map to get killed as far as possible away from the hatch so the killer doesn't have a chance to even get the 4th kill because the survivors isalready camping the hatch ready to escape.
If the hatch wasn't shown up I would have had a chance at that kill but I didn't get a chance because the other player purposely died away from the hatch.
How is it fair for us killers losing a kill because they using comms to purposely die away from hatch so that one survivor can escape and keep their rank 1 progress?

Funny, I am a survivor main and would support this totally. Hatch spawn before it can be used gives the killers a huge advantage. They can walk freely all over the map and usually see it before end game. The majority of the games I am in that go to hatch time, the killer walks right to it and slams it because they already saw it while wandering around. If it did not show up until go time it would give both sides the chance to find it more fairly.
This would also make keys much less useful because you could really only use them to open a closed hatch during EGC, instead of several folks heading out together.

While true and a semi nice idea, this would also favor faster killers over other killers. Survivor also still has to sneak around rather than run if they're not found yet.

I agree with this, not to block survivors going seperate sides of the map, but to block Hatch tech (where you DC so the hatch instantly opens for the other survivor.)

I've just lost out on the 4th kill again because once again as soon as I hooked the 3rd survivor and he died instantly because it was his last. The 4th survivor jumped the hatch in seconds.
The devs need to change this so the killers have chance to actually look for the hatch and not have a survivor jump it in seconds.

I knew exactly where it was and so did the last players. That's why they went down the furthest away from the hatch so the 4th could jump it before I could get there.
Are reading what I wrote or just trolling?

True but that is no different than now. Killers will always have the advantage of free movement. That can not be helped. But this seems more fair to the guy who managed to stay alive till the end. Especially so now that EGC is a thing, so most single survivors at the end get screwed anyway.

Yeah, maybe. End game against Wraith as the only survivor that survived is always gonna be ######### I guess.

Another example of what has just happened in this game because of hatch appearing on the floor when not needed.
I had used a mori. 2 gens left 2 survivors left, both can be killed by me. I knew from previous game not to kill the 3rd survivor until I know where the hatch is so I can get so close to it so I can close it.
I killed the survivor by my hand on the hatch and the 4th jumped the hatch before I got out of my animation of mori because the 4th survivor was also camping the hatch once again.
Is this some sort joke now? I miss out on another kill again because of the hatch appearing way to early. Are you going to stop the hatch appearing on the floor?
I can't keep losing out on this last kill because of this hatch. I hate killers that leave survivors dying on the floor to force other survivors to come out of hiding but if the wagon calls for it. All aboard the wagon now here I come.
And no this above is not holding the game hostage because there is a bar timer so the 3rd survivor will die naturally slowly. Fell sorry for who ever the 3rd survivor will be in my games now.
I do see why this game has so many toxic players now.

You could slug for the 4k, if you really want it.

Killers do the same thing? Lol

I feel hatches are fair, even as a killer main. But... they need a progress bar in order to be opened imo. Like a totem progress bar, but make it last longer for a key. That way survivors can't teabag on hatch and escape in your face.

I may be misunderstanding. But proposing a change just because it deprives you of a 4k, isn't that clear proof that a killer asks for a 4k easily?
Especially since there is already an effective way to deprive the last two survivors of the hatch: slug the first, take care of the second, check the distance to the hatch of the two survivors in the dying state, and act accordingly.
In addition, with this change, I have no doubt, the killers will continue to complain: it is not fair, the hatch appeared exactly next to the survivor and I could not know where it was before him, I couldn't get my 4k! The hatch must be visible to the killer only from the start of the game!
I warn, because I know that this idea is mainly a reaction to another : a single survivor more sure of being able to escape by the hatch when the killer ignores him in order to kill the other survivor immediately is absolutely not equivalent to a killer more assured of having a 4k while doing even less. And we compare here a 3k and a 4k, not a 0k and a 4k. Personally, I think it more logical that it is more difficult to get a 4k than less.

So i've had an holiday from work and had a few games on here.
Again. I've seen survivors purposely killing them selves on hook so team mate on comms can escape tgrough the hatch.
Amy news on the hatch nerf please?
