Fix In Game Report-A-Player
This is yet another part of the game that seriously needs fixing. Not only fixing, but player reports are NOT taken seriously. Nor have they ever unless they were so serious it would get BHVR in trouble. People don't hardly even get muted for racism or threats. I've been told to "ignore them" or not go into chat.
BHVR seems to have a "If you ignore the virus it will go away on its own" mentality and thats not good.
There should be a report a player option when you click on their name post game. Cloud ID's need to be copied when reporting via Steam's in game browser, or at least have the ability to copy your cloud ID to the clipboard.
I'm not even talking about chat, i'm talking about toxic behavior. Such as slugging the last player, shutting the hatch, and going afk. Everytime I've reported a player over several years with video, nothing seems to happen.
DC's are punished even when it's DBD's fault and not the player, while people intentionally being toxic, afk botting etc aren't punished. I know they aren't because my block list is full of these people and i see them a lot. So that tells me that BHVR doesn't take reporting seriously, because I report WITH video.
I'd enlist the help of a fog whisperer but they aren't taken seriously hardly either.
Edit: Since its apparent i'm not clear what the subject here is, since its even stated in the topic headline.. This is about streamlining the Report feature in game, so its easier to report people for exploiting and rule breaking Not what is or shouldn't be a punishable offense.

They take reports seriously if you're reporting for actual bannable offences. It's no wonder you think your reports are being ignored if you're reporting people for things like slugging and closing the hatch. Those aren't reportable offences, so honestly you're probably right - they're not taking them seriously. That doesn't mean the entire system needs to be changed, it just means that you need to make sure certain actions are actually against the rules before you report them.
Here is a link to the Game Rules post if you need it, which lists which actions are and are not reportable: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system

Going AFK looking straight up at the sky after slugging and closing the hatch IS reportable because its hostage taking the match.
You skimmed my statement. Please read it again. Closing the hatch and slugging of course isn't bannable or even reportable. It is reportable however, when you slug all 4 survivors and go idle/afk. This is outside BHVR's acceptable "play style" practice according to their rules.
Hostage Taking is reportable and is bannable by BHVR's Terms of Service. Being unable to leave the match except by DC that isn't a bug and being performed intentionally by a player is against the rules. This can also be considered griefing if the player does it over several games to the same individual.
- Working with the opposite team to gain an advantage or grief teammates
- Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience
- Holding the game hostage --------- (This is what i'm talking about)
- In-game report REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL

Fair enough, I did misunderstand what you were saying. However, I think you've misunderstood the rules all the same. If they've closed the hatch, that means the EGC has started, which means they're not taking the game hostage, and in my opinion, it would be a bit of a stretch to call that griefing either. Of course, I'm not the one who makes that decision, but if reports to that effect have gone unacknowledged, that would suggest that the official ruling is along the same lines.

It just shouldn't be a thing. Thats just like saying "oh well, wait for your bleedout timer". And while youre slugged, EGC is slowed. So its not just waiting for the EGC to tick down, it takes that much longer.

I do get that it feels bad, but at the end of the day, the fact that something feels like it should be against the rules isn't a good enough reason to pretend that it actually is. It's not our game, so we don't get to make the rules. Practically speaking, reporting people for things that you think ought to be reportable but actually aren't does nothing except waste your and the Support team's time.
It's fair to be upset over someone in a game playing in a way that is boring and malicious. It's even fair to give feedback explaining why you think that sort of thing ought to be classified as griefing. But it's not fair to blame the developers or claim that they don't take wrongdoing seriously for not enforcing rules that you made up.

So toss the rules out. So it's perfectly fine to ruin other players games because you want to troll and/or be intentionally toxic? That is completely illogical. You can be banned for griefing and hostage taking. All of my examples are bannable. They just don't get caught enough because of the process.
It is perfectly fair to call out BHVR, because the developers are the ones who develop the game. And they know this is an "occasional problem". Again, This is not the same as getting upset over in general slugging or even camping and tunneling. Not even slugging for the 4k at the end of the game. Slugging with the intent to win =/= Slugging with the intent to be toxic.
I also didn't make up any rules... I'm not sure what you're talking about, not even in the slightest... And it's also not a claim. Even Fog Whisperers speak ill of BHVR because of their extremely odd priority schedule and lack of playing their game.
Again. You didn't read my OP. Nor did you really read the topic apparently.

The reporting experience needs to be streamlined. It takes WAY too much time as it is to report a player. Because These type of things happen too often.
If it was easier to report players, it would be easier for them to punish those who need to be punished.

I read the entire thing. Don't confused disagreement with ignorance.
You're expecting them to enforce rules they don't have. I don't have a problem with you giving feedback on the report system, or the game's rules, but I do have a problem with you claiming that they "don't take player reports seriously" when your definition of taking a report seriously is banning someone because you think they should be banned, and not because the person actually broke the game's rules. Giving feedback is fine. Constructive criticism is fine. Acting as if it's your right to have your feedback adopted, and insisting on sending false reports on that basis even after having the rules explained to you, is not.
That's the second time I've explained that, and I don't know how I can communicate it any more clearly, so I'm going to leave it at that.

This game have lot of players which facecamp every game a slug many survivors every game. Sometines you can check the public Steam profile and read list of the -rep.
The community will be more healthy if the game loose these players. And also survival will be less toxic and more chill. But they need to stop hiding behind things like "facecamp is strategy" or "sluging is tactics".
Nobody reads the in game reports and manual tickets? I've alvays received same ######### template as solution of the ticket.
Thank you for your report! We'll now begin investigating for you. We won't be able to stay in contact with you, but rest assured relevant action will be taken if it is required. Should you wish to report another player, please submit a new ticket as we are unable to process more than one case per ticket. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Again we are truly grateful for your co-operation and we appreciate your dedication in helping us make the game a more fair and enjoyable experience for all.
