Cleanse shaming
Just got cleanse shamed against a plague.
First one to cleanse, she starts with corruption nowadays. Why wouldn't you cleanse, considering?
Sick of this community tbh. Try to stay positive, but some little sooky boy crying over adult hide and seek. Pretty pathetic.
Thoughts please.

Yeah, it's pretty odd to hear people still never cleansing against her. There are definitely good times and areas to cleanse that aren't just during the end-game. People who get genuinely upset at their teammates for cleansing are equivalent to Overwatch players that complained and cried about their team when they weren't playing a completely meta team back in 2017

I just do whatever my team does. They don't wanna cleanse, I don't. They cleanse, I might as well.

Haha thanks for your input dude, I just don't understand why people get so butthurt over this game, or any game for that matter. It's a game, if you're not having fun I don't know why you're playing.
I said in post game lobby, because I was camped for a secure kill "gg, ranking system pointless" because, let's be real, it's down to luck if you get camped or not, your rank means nothing. Just thought it was dumb that "you were first to cleanse, you can't complain about ranking system".
I guess people don't read patch notes?

Plague tend to save the one she starts with for later in the game. The earlier survivors start to cleanse the earlier she will start using her power and potentially snowball the game.
Personally I try to not cleanse before we got one gen left/doors. As Lalythia says tho, if your teammates starts cleansing earlier you might as well.

Yeah, lately I have been more inclined to cleanse just because of that 1 corruption pool start. I used to do what you do. Now it's just whatever I guess, I might try that again and see how my games vs plague go. Cheers :)

My friends and I cleanse against her for the chaos lmao. It's fun.
But also if people all cleanse continuously and fill up the fountains, Plague will just get her power, and it could be at a really inopportune moment.
So I say cleanse away!

i've been practicing plague lately and people cleanse alllllllllllllllllll the time, it's insane. but I don't really see much survivor on survivor shaming anymore, maybe your ally just came back from a long break and thought 'never cleanse' was still the strat?
also i can't tell if 'sick of this community' was a plague pun or not but if so, ggs wp.

Generally, even after the buff, you shouldn't cleanse. Its a choice between the lesser of 2 evils, either be one shot, or give the killer the strongest power in the game. If you can survive the 1 base Corrupt, you're golden, but if your team cleanses, its the endgame or she starts to snowball with her Corrupt, that's when you want to cleanse as she cant really do anything with that fountain at that time.
This isn't to say you cant cleanse if you want to, play against her however you want, if someone sends hate your way, just screencap the salty chat & keep it as a mood lifter.

I do put it off for a bit if I can but I really don't understand the argument against cleansing. If you stay injured you are a one shot the entire game, if she gets red vomit she can projectile you down. Either way you are down in 1 go, so kinda doesn't matter much. I am with the other folks here, kinda just do what the round seems to warrant.

The mood lifter strat is a fantastic idea, time to make a collage. I play in OCE (Australia) - we have one of the most toxic gaming communities in the world, in my opinion.
I will give cleansing a break and go back to the old ways and just let the team decide. Thanks!

Because it's easier to hit people in a chase with a ranged attack.

With the amount people cleanse nowdays, I'm finding I can have my corrupt purge running for about 75% of the match, lol. Typically I just go around and am content with M1ing sick people, but if you wanna put fountains EVERYWHERE for me...might as well grab em as I walk by.

Playing against the Plague is so damn rare for me..
mostly I cleanse, not always and not as fast as I can but in most cases it is a good decision. I can dodge corrupt purge relativly well in many cases and i don’t like being a one shot that is also loud and visible.

Cleansing would not be so bad if the Plague had to fully charge a stream (and therefore use up a lot of her corruption). Currently, she just has to charge for a short period and spray back and forth for a quick hit, allowing for a quick follow-up and little power cost.
Alternatively, let the Plague swap between vile and corrupt vomit and remove/lessen the corruption drain-over-time, but have the corrupt vomit only affect injured survivors. This would require at least some chase from the Plague to get them injured first instead of just 2-shotting from quick vomit bursts from range. This would also encourage cleansing as survivors would not want to stay injured.
"But what about survivors who have No Mither equipped?" They chose to play the game in hard mode.

There's no reason for shaming someone. They can explain their point of view, but shaming is unwarranted and unproductive. I don't condone that.
I've been playing a lot of Plague lately. Routinely cleansing is the best way to give an easy time to the killer. Corrupt Purge is one of the strongest abilities in the game. Without corrupt, the Plague is an m1 killer. Cleanse when it makes sense. You're on dead hook, you need to force a hook trade against a camper, etc. Use your common sense. If possible, use a fountain in an area where there are no gens.
However, the default strategy remains to stay infected. If the Plague collects her corrupted fountain, then spread out and try to stay in areas where there are no objectives. Wait it out unless she's chasing someone. If she makes the error of using her fountain at the beginning when no ones is infected, you're golden. Hide and profit.
