How would a Xeno differ from Pig?

I want a Xeno killer. I really, really do. However, it feels like a Xeno would play out as another Pig, in my mind. Stealth, quick attacks, another version of traps.

Just to lay it out, crouching is a given, lunging after prey, and facehuggers instead of reverse traps.

Now, there are a few other aspects a a Xeno over Pig that can be used. Wall climbing, though I don't think the game's tech support it. Acid blood, which would be interesting if used as some sort of ranged weapon. The various senses a Xeno employs to track, so aura reading, perhaps? Stalking and hiding in tight spaces comes to mind.

How would a Xeno be made to stand on it's own, with out getting too close to the current roster of stealth killers?

I think it would be cool if its stealth option didn't hinder its mobility, or perhaps even boosted it. I don't think facehuggers would really work in dbd, each trial usually lasts less than 20 minutes which I'm pretty sure isn't enough time for them to be any use. Tracking is an interesting possibility, maybe they could sense the general direction survivors are in or something.

I think due to the Xenomorphs large size he would suit a powerhouse kind of playstyle rather than any stealth.

By this I mean being an active, clear and aggressive threat throughout the match.

In the movies the Xenomorph tends to lurk around and investigate sounds and movement as well as sneaking up on people. I just think if the stealth mechanics are engrained into the killer that's where the frustration comes from and the disappointment in how the Xenomorph wouldn't be abused that way in the movies.

I honestly think a good mechanic for the Xenomorph would be that every time you get pallet stunned you shriek spit acid and inflict deep wounds on the survivor.

If you remember Alien isolation when the Xenomorph sees you and he's coming for you, the dart movement he does towards you should be the idea behind it as killer. If it was a *stomp stomp stomp* *pounce* killer then that would be extremely disappointing.

Maybe he could place eggs with facehuggers at certain points of the map (near gens for example) to zone survs out, if they don't want their faces to be hugged?

Facehugger might give some debuff and could be removed with 2 survs working on it together.

After some time it could convert into chestburster. I dunno, something like this, maybe.

I see it more like Demogorgon minus the portals. A big monster that can leap at you. It would be really cool if the Xeno could use its tail and inner jaw as attacks in the game.

You don't need alien eggs or facehuggers to make a Xeno. It can be just the Xenomorph. Only the queen spawns eggs, it would be really weird for a normal Xenomorph to have that.

The concept works great as a heightened senses killer, it's supposed to be really good at finding things that make noise. It's a hunter.

I had a concept for that, it was basically any time any "damage" was done to the Alien, it would cause an acidic spray a few meters away. This would encourage survivors to stay apart, which is what the Alien likes to do anyways, pick you off one by one.

Damage was considered any DS or stun, including head on and pallet stuns.

I don't mind the idea of a xeno in the game. But I think the powers etc might be hard!.

Acid spit - plague puke again

    Face huggers/egg - Pig trap

    Speed burst - Demo

I think we need to think outside the box more. maybe a vision thing, like infra-red without it be a copy and paste of predators vision.

Attacks, acid blood and rip and tear. Also a tail spear, wouldnt be to hard. Its the power that needs to be good

Alright, how has nobody yet acknowledged that this thread's premise is ridiculous? They managed to make two stalkers in masks and two chainsaw mutants different, I think they can find ~something~ to separate an alien and a woman with a pig on her head.
