Why survivors play stupid when they have ds or bt?
Why is it that whenever a survivor has borrowed or ds they act stupid? I had some person i was going against do a gen right infront of me not even close to being finished just because she had borrowed then ds and then endgame shes angry cause i tunneled

High Risk=High Reward without BT/DS
Low Risk=High Reward with BT/DS
When you have bt and ds, you can pull riskier plays because if they work then they pay off big time. If you use bt that means your teammate gets a speed boost out of the vicinity or a bodyblock. It also resets pressure somewhat.

Would you rather have them playing stupid, or extremely stealthy and boring?

Human nature. It was found that, on average, the safer we feel, the more recklessly we behave. The best way to keep someone safe (or make sure they don't behave recklessly) is therefore to make them feel unsafe, while keeping them safe.
This is one of the reasons why I believe that if you were to remove some of the survivors' safety nets, their survival rates would actually increase as a result (or at least stay the same), because they'd be less reckless.

well yes im a only slightly experience nurse and trying to get better but then i go against people who i have to hit 4 times just for 1 hook i mean i couldve gone for others but i couldnt find them and gens were separated everywhere if you ever played nurse you would know how bad it feels getting soo much percise hits and not getting your reward your risking potential in loosing soo much time with each blink and here i am having to do it 4 times for a hook :/ isnt fun honestly

I think its about wanting value, i can play ten games in a row and not need my ds, then i take it off and all of a sudden i need it. Sometimes i want to run screaming at the killer "come on dude i want to use this perk"

Because they can. The perks allow them to make stupid decisions and get away with it.

With perks like DS and BT a lot of the threat is gone, when there isnt as big a challenge you tend to not try as hard, this should result.in more chill games but usually it means people are gonna play badly and i dont kniw.why

Because with BT/DS, you can get unhooked, go finish a gen in front of the killers face, tank a hit while injured, and then hop into a locker and there's nothing they can do about it except lose the game standing there or give you a free escape.

Honestly I find a lot survivors just play stupid regardless of the perks they use lol

This is pretty funny because the majority of solo survivors I play with are stupid regardless of whether they have bt or ds

Yeah. Don't listen to pesky people who also want to enjoy a video game they play in their free time for fun. Their fun is completely irrelevant. In fact, if you can have more fun by making sure they have absolutely zero fun whatsoever - even better. Only your fun matters.

It's a PvP game. Someone's always going to end up unhappy, even if you're not trying to make them unhappy. If you always need to win to have fun, I recommend a single-player game.

When did I say I only have fun when I win? I've have some stellar matches where I died miserably. But they were fun because both sides played well and the better man won in the end. Those are the magical dbd matches that keep me playing this game. In my experience, no. Someone doesn't always have to leave unhappy. Someone always has to win, sure. But I don't base my enjoyment in the game on whether I win or lose, it's whether or not the match felt like a fun, fair test of skill. Getting tunneled or camped to death in the first minutes of a match because someone would prefer not to 4v1 is not fair, nor skillful. It's also not fun in any way. People who play that way are the ones who should be playing a single player game, where they are welcome to treat the NPCs as carelessly as they want.

Go play some sports, then complain that it's not fair for the other team to take advantage of your team's mistakes.

This is your best argument for why people shouldn't be considerate in game?
Sports have rule sets around decency between players and penalties for a lack of. Dbd does not. It's left up to the players to decide to either care about the other human beings also trying to enjoy the game or not.
A person getting tunneled didn't make a mistake by being offhooked outside of their control, and there is a misunderstanding about the game being a team game, like a sports team. Unless you are a SWF, dbd matches are comprised of individuals who have to work together toward a common goal. But they are not a team. They did not select each other. So it is ridiculous to hold an incapacitated person accountable for the neglegent actions of someone else. Assuming they are neglegent because a lot of the time its less a wreckless decision and more the only decision because killers seem to gravitate to the hook.
Just don't be a dick. It's not rocket science and there is no reason to be, unless someone else is being a dick.

Bullshiz they are not a team. The only way to win as survivor is and always should be, team-play. That's why SWF is so powerful, their team-play is par none. Mistakes made by one person definitely should affect the entire team, there are even perks for that (Thana, infectious, mad grit, etc)

Cus they think it's funny and get cocky, they want you to grab them.

If the killer has me dead to rights right off the hook then I act like I have ds when in all reality I have no counter. I am just buying time. Thank you dumb ds plays for helping those three others live this match.

Let's put it this way: both of these perks are on a timer. For that time, they are untouchable. So they abuse it for a purpose it was not intended for because there is no punishment, only reward.
And a hefty contributor to this is the fact that, should your BT run out without you entering the Deep Wounds state (a laughably worthless status effect/health state) then you "wasted" your teammates perk/your status effect. If you never got to use your DS then there was no point equipping it. Clearly this isn't ACTUALLY logical, but whenever I confront people about why they play like arseholes because they have multi-layer protection that essentially translates into temporary immortality, I usually get something along the lines of "otherwise I wasted it".
Or "GG ez baby killer, git gud, DS/BT/DH/Unbreakable is weak, you need skill to use it"
I'm not kidding. I really, really wish I was.

Survivors often play dumb period. Had a Jake without BT in the middle of a chase with leatherface come and unhook me. Did I get 5 feet from the hook before getting downed? No, No I did not. Did Jake get away? Yes. Yes, he did. Two hook states early in the game. I probably should've just went and suicide on the hook. Especially since one of my teammates was just standing around doing NOTHING. I did get into a short chase later after the killer found me on BBQ again after finally being unhooked again. But I got caught, and that one teammate was STILL standing around doing NOTHING. They had like 200 bloodpoints when I exited the game very quickly. All because Jake just HAD to try to rescue me with the killer right behind him.

If someone gets tunneled out, it's not just the killer being a dick. There are 3 other people in that match that could have taken the heat. People that were FARMING their teammate, in that scenario you presented. Blame them too, not just the killer doing their job. In fact, if someone gets farmed, that's more on the teammate than the killer unless the Undetectable status was involved.
It is absolutely not ridiculous to punish bad plays. Does it suck being that survivor? YES. Is it the killers fault? NO. Why give an entire team free outs because someone wanted to be arrogant, go for ultra unsafe unhooks, and ######### at you for not letting them get away with it? That's like saying it's toxic to break the killers 3-gen while they are distracted. That is incredibly inconsiderate, they were just distracted, there's no need to punish them for that! What do you mean you picked up the slug, ######### is wrong with you baby survivors? That's so mean, git gud. You're supposed to wait til they are on the hook. What, you got a pallet save? What a disgusting shite.
