Survivors matter too

Survivors should be able to see who the killer in pre game lobby so they can adjust their perks just like killers can

for example if a killer sees a 4 man with flashlights they use franklins so survivors should be able to adjust their perks based on killer

That's going to be a no from me, mate.

Because part of playing Killer is to have prep time, which the Survivors don't have.

To be fair, the killer is supposed to have the upperhand at all times. Thats why we are called 'survivors'.

Sorry mate that would be too strong. Survivors at high ranks can quit easily deal with most killers without changing their perks so seeing the killer would be broken.

The only change I'd make is hiding the survivors names from the lobby and only showing it after the game ends.

It wouldn't work - killers would then toxic quick switch too. A much more drastic quick switch than a survivor with an item.

If anyone thinks, this is OP, ok remove the ability to see survival items in lobby for the killer too.

And remove the live survivar status bar in game (who is dying, who is injured, who is sleeping and who is infected) for killer.

I think that not being able to see the killer allows there to be more suspense while playing survivor. I know that most survivors these days just want to pretend they're seal team 6... err 4, with comms and preset paths and strategies to win. As it is, survivors already get too much information, and if anything, playing as survivor could be more fun if there was less info.

Why would they do any of that? Survivors have zero cooldowns on their base abilities; they effectively have 16 perks at their disposal as a team; there are 4 of them, which allows them to be in multiple places at once; they get information from just about anything that happens in the game; they have more perks that reveal auras than killers do; they have smaller character collision models; they have a 3rd person perspective; their objectives don't move; and they have many stackable second chance perks. Whereas the killer generally moves faster; has access to bloodlust; can hit/hook/slug/kill survivors; has a power; gets a notification when a survivor makes a loud noise; and can see what items are being brought into the match.

Agreed the last thing a "Horror" 4v1 game needs is more info in the game. The more info, the less horror. How many horror movies have you seen where they do a bio on the killer at the start of the movie?

lol, could you imagine if horror movies used the same dynamic as dbd does between killers and survivors?

Bad idea. Imagne playing Hag and seeing thaz every survivor picks up a flashlight in the lobby. You’re forked. Unless you switch last second to Freddy with lightborn on or something. It’s just stupid. Basically the match would start before the loading screen and what happens there would determine the entire match.

Wouldn’t work. Killers would just quick switch, Survivors would just use it to hard counter every Killer, and you’re supposed to have the upper hand on Survivors.

Killers are supposed (at least think) they have the upper hand going into a match. While it's not always the case, it's always a mystery as to who the Killer is and which strategy to use for countering their abilities and play style.

The information which the Killer gets should be reduced (aka No Names or Profiles), but the Survivors should not get more information.

It is enough that one side thinks they are entitled to dodge Lobbies until they think it is easy enough. It is not needed that both sides can do that.

Killers having more information than survivors is not a problem. It's that whole "asymmetrical game" thing. They're supposed to have more information by design.

You need to see this that way in lobby killer have more info but in game the survivor have more info overall the second you get hit by the killer you will kniw if he got sloppy or not the second you touch a gen you know which slowdown perk he got etc... so in my opinion the amount of information killer receive is lackluster in game if you compare to the survivor

Survivors do matter too - contrary to what DBD and the Killer community seems to think.

This would not work, since survivors would lobby dodge. Killers can see survivors because no survivor has a unique-to-them ability. Killers do. So the second you see a Killer you don't like...you would just leave the lobby. So I understand why this is not a thing.

I do, however, think you should be able to see the Killer's gamer tag prior to a match, especially since they don't seem to have any interest in developing a block system. That way if you get paired with someone who you just went against, who was a completely toxic #########, you CAN avoid them - since Killer's get that same privilege by seeing everyone in the lobby before the match.
