Dev`s i dont think ill ever prestige and here`s why

i know the devs are working on some extra bonuses to prestige but as a long time player iv placed so many BP into each character iv got every perk for every killer and near every perk for every survivor, the reason for this is i always like to mi up who i play and what perks i might use and the bloody clothes while cool arent a huge factor to me, they often end up kinda bland and dark and i feel people only play prestige claudette for that reason. Not only that but there are so many other nice cosmetics that are different id rather run, so now i dont think there is anything the devs can do to make me throw away every perk and tons of items on a character... only thing that could make me do it is if i either kept the perks, tiers got removed or the items are sold when you prestige so its not all wasted

    I know everyone says that there's no difference in the things that pop up in the bloodweb, but, as someone who is just now getting my killers to Prestige I, the stuff I'm getting is lookin like filet mignon compared to what I started with.

    I'm getting a lot less of the non-teachables and a good bit of survivor pudding and bloody party streamers. I'm just getting Sloppy Butcher on my Legion and I haven't even gotten Distressing yet.

    Don't know how this scales as you prestige more but it seems notable to me at least. Then again, if ya don't feel like restarting from scratch again, I don't blame ya.

    the loss of items etc is holding me back from prestiging some characters as well. Still have the old moonshine offerings, old map offerings, firecrackers/winter party starter etc.

    No incentive to prestige them, bc most skins from the store look better than the default skin covered in blood.

    This post is kind of pointless. The devs are not compelling anyone to prestige. It’s in the same vein as another post that was titled something like “will players who don’t prestige be penalized?”. Either do it or don’t. The devs don’t have to give anything. I’m fairly hard on the devs due to horrid PS4 optimization, but posts like these expose so much entitlement.

    i mean the devs are reworking the prestige, this post is explaining why people like me wouldnt do it, its not entitlement its just an explanation. if the devs want people to prestige they would know what needs to be changes, if they dont then the changes wont be anything major. but as you said the devs dont have to give anything, even your optimization i guess considering the game runs pretty smooth most of the time.

    Reward does not mean that it is gonna be reworked.

    I highly doubt that it is something big what players, who prestiged their characters, will get. I guess the Main Reason to prestige will still be the Cosmetics.

    All the cosmetics are not created equal though. Hag, you can hardly tell the difference between her P3 and some of the red skins, especially the hair (for P3!). I think the majority of older killers have better cosmetics now for shards or cells than the P3 clothes. I think the only one I use regularly is ghostface's P3 mask, beyond bloody weapons.

    Same. I have all perks on Doctor and Freddy along with a good amount of add-ons and offerings on them (hell, I have over 190 Iridescent Queens on Doc). I would need a damn good incentive to prestige them. The only time I prestige if the character has no other cosmetics that I like or in the rare case that I like a bloody cosmetic.

    I understand not wanting to lose your items and all, but if you have so many items from so long ago then what stopped you from prestiging back then if you had any plan to do so whatsoever?

    Not directed at anyone specifically, just curious as to the reasoning why people that didn't want to prestige before would now want to.

    I mean no one is forcing you to prestige it has and always will be your choice if you don't want the prestige clothing cool just play the game normally without prestiging.
