dbd is full of hackers and devs do nothing againts them
There are currently hacks that makes you stack perks, let you know which killer you are againts, wallhacks, lagswitchers and so on,yet I dont see any of these people get banned, why?probably because a lot of players use hacks and if they all get banned the playerbase gonna drop dramatically.

There's really a small niche of hackers that are seen around NA and EU, and although they are pretty annoying and have some serious issues, they do get banned within at least a week of any report. Just sending a ticket to DBD support with their Xbox account, PSN, or Steam ID would likely get them gone faster if that's any help.

how can you tell if a survivors uses a hack to know who the killer is?you literally cant so you cant really report them
0 -
If you know that they're doing so or even openly admit to it, then the same applies.
1 -
they dont that's the thing, and you can never tell
0 -
If such is the case then how do you know that such exists and even know that someone ever used it?
2 -
Then how did you know well enough to make this thread? You accuse tge devs of not banning them yet you dont actually know their hacking?
1 -
because I encountered them?I didn't make the thread for no reason, the thing is if most get banned, how come there's still so many?

You're contradicting yourself and its confusing. You say you cant report them because theres no way to tell if theyre actually hacking. Then you say you know theyre hacking because you encountered them. How do you know there are "so many?"
Obviously there are some, there is in any game

I had a hacker earlier today who I was chasing and then poof all the sudden he disappeared right in front of me. I was planning on at least reporting him, but thanks to the rank error bug, the game went right back to the starting screen at the end of the match.....so frustrating.

dont know where i'm contradicting myself but ok m8

You stated "There are currently hacks that makes you stack perks, let you know which killer you are againts, wallhacks, lagswitchers and so on,yet I dont see any of these people get banned, why?"
Then you said "How can you tell if a survivors uses a hack to know who the killer is?you literally cant so you cant really report them?"
That's how you contradicted yourself.
On to the point. It isn't the devs fault. Its EACs fault. BHVR isn't a big company, which means they don't know how to make their own anti cheat which is common for companies as such. EAC is great, it works well, but every now and then people find a way through.

As long as it's survivors doing it, devs won't care. Killers aren't real players.
If they thought it would make the game more sustainable to ban all killers and replace them with bots, they'd do it in a second. Everyone knows survivors are their real bread and butter.

Can we NOT plug in a survivor vs killer comment on a random post for no reason at all? thanks

As the people above me already posted, all the devs can really do is ban hackers as they come. They can't stop someone from getting a new copy of the game. You can't really blame the devs then if they're already doing what they CAN do, which is ban the hackers. What YOU can do to help towards that is report any you see with the ingame report function as well as send in any video evidence you may have through a customer support ticket.
1 -
No, we can not not. Because it's the damn truth. Literally no one cares if survivors hack.
It's like walling in CS:GO casual matches, no one is actually gonna care about it. Because killers aren't real players to them.

Players have been banned for hacking on EITHER role, so your claims here hold no ground other than trying to blindly start a killer vs survivor fight where there isnt one. We're all against the HACKERS here, thats it.

Well, i was playing solo yesterday and 6/7 games a survivor in the lobby told us who the killer is, everytime the survivor got it right (they were all different people). I heard that they use some kind of exploit with the games files to see who the killer is before the game starts

You're ideas kinda failing at fixing the issue in that hackers ruin every match they run into. I've seen videos of Bubbas teleporting around the map and nailing all 4 survivors with a single chainsaw sprint even though they were all spread out. The match is already ruined at that point and the killer can just let em bleed out.
As far as the permanant exposed idea... That doesnt help if the killer can never hit the survivor who's moving faster than a sprinting Billy. Even if you DO wanna make the hacker so weak that he cant do anything, your also penalizing the poor guys who happened to be squaded up with him because theyre pretty much playing a 3 v 1 round right front the start.
Ultimate, I get that you were just joking but this, but just banning hackers right away is the right move here.

Sounds like something worth sending in a report for and describing the situation. Game reports are dealt with by actual people, so its not something that's going to penalize players who just happened to guess lucky. It could also possibly tip off the devs onto something for them to fix.

If people are reported in game and have sufficient evidence shown, bans do happen.
I want to dispel the myth right here about something that was just posted, it doesn't matter a damn whether someone is playing as a Survivor or as a Killer, if someone is cheating, regardless of what role they are playing they will be punished.
Anyone who suspects someone is cheating, please report in game and send additional evidence to Support (such as video evidence which is required to back up the claim). https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

I am so happy to see you say damn for some reason and I don't know why xD

Ok, then lets see if the matchmaking exploit is ever fixed. Not even talking about banning anyone because I don't think it's anywhere near a bannable offense, but just remove it.
No, because they want survivors to be good and happy and just enjoy rolling over whatever newbies they can. Nevermind what the killer experience is.

Thanks for summing that up rather nicely, lol

im very unlucky not finding those cool hackers in game lol
hackers are whether noobs or bored of game, btw I would like to hack "all perks enabled" but im too scared of getting caught lol
0 -
some hacks are really hard to detect,so you probably wont even notice
0 -
true if they add a speed up of 2% or so on but those hax0rs are not cool
I wanna see someone with all perks (except NM) enabled lol cuz bored of same game features, or something weird like:

Report them to steam. When enough people do it, they will take action. Dbd devs are to afraid of losing player.
1 -
hackers are/were also customers at certain point, so making a banning decision is not that easy
0 -
It really is. Though I suppose conspiracy theories that devs somehow want hackers are more appealing when you yourself admit you want to hack...

Matchmaking for many people is currentlu very scuffed. The devs admitted this in their most recent QnA From Home livestream. It's not an exploit when it happens to everyone regardless of what they do.
For details on the new matchmaking system the devs want to implement, please see here. (hyperlinked).
Like @MandyTalk said, supply sufficient evidence of someone hacking and they will be banned. Because many people report just from salt, they need this extra info to back-up claims. Once this has been received hackers usually get banned within the week.

How to work around the "killer detection" while being in Q:
- prepare your "main killer" setup with offerings/addons
- Q up as a different killer that has a "counter perk" to his ability (I like using doc for that, calm spirit is not a meta perk)
- switch killers last second to the one you wanted to play
- look at their setup at the end of the match. 2-3 people with Calm Spirit? What a coincidence :)
If you see a SWF team and think they're doing it, use Freddy to bait and play a killer like ghostface. They'll equip at least one OoO which is going to hurt them so much during the game against stealth killers.
Not saying that this is 100% proof, but when do you see 2-3 calm spirits in a single match? It's just an indicator I know.

There has been a rise in wallhacking players, and devs DON'T ban for it, because it's hard to prove, and these people know that. I have sent video footage of obvious wallhacking, but those people are still playing. They can just claim they saw a pixel of your hair or have a 5k headset to hear you across the map. It ######### sucks.
1 -
this,is bhvr really that scared of losing players..sigh,hacking should never be allowed no matter what

You know what my biggest problem is? Back then when people would climb outside the crotus asylum building I did report them with screen shots but you guys told me you would not ban them because you need me to send a video... What do you think I am? I am not filming every second of my life and I will surely not recod several GB of gameplay everyday just to get people banned! Your system is SOOOOO flawed its beyond any common sense! You should record data of any match just like in csgo! In csgo data of a 40min match is less then 1mb big because its reproduced instead of recording the whole thing! Just give us the same option and also the option to watch matches from any perspective. This would help ban hacker!
