About the Dark Mist and Reagents

Lately I've been "experimenting" a bit with the reagents, in particular the Murky Reagent, and I must say that with the thickest fog the game is a lot cooler and more atmospheric, not counting the fact that having reduced visibility on both sides adds a little tiny bit more depth to the gameplay.

I'm starting to wish regent offerings were disabled and the fog was thickest by default.

I haven't used those very often, so is there certain situations where it's beneficial to have more or less fog? I can think of maybe short killers being more hidden from fog, like Hag, but then I also imagine it would help survivors be more stealthy. At the same time, I always feel like if I bring the offering that creates less fog, it could help me see survivors sure but then they can also see me a lot more clearly. I never really know what to do with them, so as a result I just never really touch them and they just sit there collecting dust.

Lol sure, i'd wish that too, would give me a slight, but permanent advantage while cloaked.

Just had a match as Myers on Pale Rose where they brought Hazy Reagent.

Downed a guy early into my tier 3 and was bringing him to the nearest hook which was on the outskirts. Saw a healthy Feng running towards the hook so, thinking she was trying to sabo, I dropped the first guy and charged at her with my still relatively young tier 3. This chick *dissapeared*. And just as a lil icing on the cake, the guy I downed had Unbreakable.

So, in short, I hate fog offerings(?)

Thick fog gives stealth killers more of an advantage, and survivors more of an advantage toward non-stealth killers. Lighter/no fog gives non-stealth killers an advantage and survivors an advantage over stealth killers. Generally speaking, though, because the map is also a big factor.

I'm all for anything that improves immersion (not immersive gameplay, but game-immersion), so I would love for the fog to be thicker by default. Yes, it would be a bit harder to see people, but it would feel much more realistic and spooky. They could of course adjust this per map, so it wouldn't be too foggy on naturally immersive maps like Yamaoka and Backwater Swamp, where it's already hard to see people.

I xo love the fog, very spoopy, especially when you know a ghostface is somewhere out there in it.
