Why is DS like impossible to actually use nowadays
Like I was dying to use DS because killers me making us survivor mains mad so who would want to shank a killer but quite frankly no killer ever picks me up like I finna just take this perk off at this point but I feel it needs just a slight but or something and like the only way to use it is to be toxic to the killer so he will pick you up after being unhooked

Whenever I run DS:
> Killer leaves me be
Whenever I dont run DS:
> Killer picks me up
Whenever no one in the game has DS:
> Killer tunnels anyone off hook. Ps. Not because they're lets say scummy, it literally makes no game sense to go after an uninjured person when the person injured is practically a free hook after down.
Sadly that's just how this perk is. I sometimes don't understand the frustration of some people when they don't actually try to play around the perk properly.

Why would I pick you up if I know all that will accomplish is being stabbed in the face and letting you get back in the game? If I leave you on the ground then at least your teammates have to spend time healing you to get you back up.
Just seems like you're playing against smart killers IMO.

That's the problem of DS. You don't even have to use it to get the benefit.

it's not like that - you don't have to have it to get the benefit from it

So... you're upset that killers aren't tunneling you off the hook and putting you right back on it?

Good, they're learning.
I don' mind being slugged, it's the consequences of the perk.

It hurt my head to read the OP.
Never thought I'd see someone complain about the Killer not killing.

Maybe you should try running directly at the killer after being unhooked then. I'll leave out the part about how once you give them a free down, they'll burn your DS and then tunnel you out of the match for abusing DS. It will totally be worth it. Go ahead and abuse it. Intentionally piss off killers. You deserve to do so. YOLO

No one has to have DS to get benefit from it if there is an obsession for any other possible reason. Even Killer perks offer the benefits of DS.
Think about that. Survivors gain benefit from DS even if the KILLER runs an obsession perk!

Well actually, all it takes is a obsession in the game and the killer hast to assume that everyone has DS.

Killers make bad play
, Survivors: gid gut
Killers improved
, Survivors: wait, thats illegal

It only needs one Obsession in the game (you can tell by the brackets in the UI) and the killer has to expect EVERYBODY runs DS.
Which makes potential 4 x 1min immunity for the survivors. And i'm not even talking about Unbreakable or DS/BT synergy.

The point of DS is to counter tunneling. If you're using DS and never managing to use it, that's good. The killers aren't tunneling you. If they leave you on the floor, that gives you an opportunity for survivors to get you back up and put you back in the game. Run unbreakable if you're that desperate

^ This.
A lot of people don't understand that they are getting an extreme amount of value out of that perk whether it activates or not. In order to avoid it, it forces the killer to play "fair", which is what will lose you the game against survivors that are even semi competent. This leaves the killer in a lose/lose scenario. If the survivors lost and those perks never activated then the survivors simply played really badly. Against good survivors you quite simply do not have the time to 1 hook each survivor 1 at a time and not slug if you want to win.
It's a similar issue with most the second chance perks. This makes them always a strong game swinging effect no matter what happens, which is why they are way too strong and poorly designed.
Perks need to be highly situational and game swinging, or activating a lot but just okay in strength. The second chance perks in this game currently have everything.

Ironically, DS encourages tunneling. Most killers will see a lack of obsession and go "Hell yeah, easy game, I can tunnel everyone"

Run unbreakable instead of DS.

Why everyone is answering like it's not a troll post?
