Small Wake Up! buff against Freddy
first buff idea:
We all know that it takes one minute before the survivor falls asleep. But when you equip Wake up, not only you get the effect of the perk, but it grants you thirty seconds of staying up awake at the start of the trial AND it stacks up with waking up with an alarm clock, giving the survivor two minutes rather than a minute and thirty seconds when using the alarm clock! The only drawback would be if you wake up by snap or skill check then it just a minute of you staying awake, just to make this buff balanced.
second buff idea:
When you have Wake Up! equipped, when a generator is completed, you wake up from the dream state,
And yes, I am aware that this perk will still be rarely used but these are some ideas that been floating over my head as of late. What do you guys think?

Perks targeting killer powers should be avoided as they're by design unfair and abused by cheaters..plus survivor peks shouldnt have that much impact since its 4v16 on perks already

Just it doing what Adrenaline does would be great. (waking you up when last gen is completed)
It would fit it's name too.

And you dont think it will be changed ? Lol

I am sure they talked about buffing certain perks and Slippery meat was one of them. It was mention quite a few months ago.

I'd wager your wrong but we will see

Buffing almost always changes the perks use entirely and they said they dont want perks to counter killer powers directly either..slippery meat has only stayed because it's too weak to be a priority
0 -
Then what's the point of changing it?
0 -
Buffing =/= reworking.
0 -
Which should also be reworked for this very reason.

Most of the out dated perks are dated to the point of reworking..you think monstrous shrine will get a number buff? No....but it's not like I've just basically gone over that the devs specifically have said they dont wish for perks to target killer powers and for good reason

Wondering why they brought in the "no bleed" perk with the Oni chapter, which has literally no other effect than countering Oni power (I know that there is a minority of killers actually looking at bloodstains in rare situations, where scratchmarks and groans are not sufficient to track the survivor)

I'm just saying ._. In the post i replied to it sounded like you were mixing buffing something and reworking something.

No

Yeah certain perks would be so dumb if they targeted specific killer powers
0 -
What no....?

I wasnt mixing up the two meanings

"Buffing almost always changes the perks use entirely"

Maybe just a minor buff but only to fit into lore because its freddy vs the person from his chapter quentin but something like a be woken up and interact with alarm clocks 5% faster

In dbd yes

There is even a perk called Wake up! in the game? Hmmm.
0 -
Not really.
2 examples - Unbreakable and Left behind. Unbreakable got it's numbers changed (buffed), incresed by 10%. Left behind was completely changed (reworked) doing a completely diffrent thing.
Giving something another ability but still having the previous ability means it was buffed.

In this case it's a bad idea..that's my whole point..I'd figure it was obvious
0 -
Did the dev said it? Huh, I guess I forgot about it, lol. Ignore my post then xD.

Play the only thing I'd say it really need is a buff when it comes to its numbers.
Having someone stand by you with leader or standing by someone opening a gate with leader literally does wake up job but better.
Wake up is really niche but hell if I had both the leader and wake up on and I saw someone else by the gate I would automatically just make them open it first because they're just do it faster and more efficiently

Maybe it should also make you immune to the "Stacking penalty" of how long it takes to wake someone else up via snap-snap-clap-clap.
