Another tunneling question (sorry)
So I've said it before because it's true I'm not a toxic person. I have literally and genuinely been going out of my way to not camp and tunnel I'm just not the type of person that likes to grief other people. With that said.
So I just got my first purple Mori. It says every time I hook someone the next time I down them I can kill them. Doesn't that kind of to be blunt about it almost demand that I absolutely tunnel? Again, not trying to make anyone have less fun or anything, but like if I can eliminate someone from the game that fast? I mean to newer eyes that Mori is saying hook em down em kill em. Am I in a gross state of misunderstanding?

I appreciate the clarification man because like I said you know I got on the forums when I started playing to kind of get the etiquette and stuff, because I don't like to be toxic, and I've been avoiding it. literally going out of my way to avoid it sometimes like running by someone that just got unhooked to kill the person that got them off the hook. I read that and I thought well I'm sorry that seems like that's my directive with this Mori π

The Mori allows you to remove them from the game much faster than hooking them up to an additional two times.
It is not demanding that you tunnel to immediately use it, however after you have hooked someone they are able to be moriβd (killed).
Its just up to you on how you want to use it you arenβt forced to do one specific playstyle

The way the game is designed in general encourages tunnelling as a playstyle because in any game where you're playing against a team, eliminating as many of them as possible as early as possible is always going to put you at a huge advantage. Moris just make that easier. You can definitely use them, but it's up to you what you want to do with them - for example, a lot of people have a self-imposed rule that they only mori survivors who are on death hook, or that they only use their mori at all if the survivors are being rude or irritating.

I respect that. I definitely don't tunnel even when I run into a teabagger or someone sending me messages. Despite the abundant temptation. I used the Mori and I didn't really tunnel I just kind of played, ad I normally do, and if I saw someone that I had hooked previously I then just killed them. π€·π»ββοΈ But I didn't sit around and wait for it or anything. Because I know I would be super frustrated if I got hooked once and then boom I'm just dead I'd be like really game? XD

Yeah, that's why people have those self-imposed rules, because they know it's not fun and they like to go out of their way to make sure their opponents have a good time - which is admirable, but certainly not compulsory.

If only it was a two-way street. π It's really toxic on PS4 which is weird because it's like super chill and friendly and cooperative on the forums which I really appreciate by the way yourself included. On PS4 it's bad dude, like every couple matches I get a message. EVERY match there's griefing when I play killer. Be it teabagging or on rare occasion people even refusing to leave the map after the exit gates are opened and I don't mean for a couple minutes, but for a good amount of time. I had one game where instead of leaving they went around and were just destroying all my demogorgon tunnels And because I was disheartened because here's another loss for myself I really just wanted the game to end so I could learn from it and move on and stuff like that definitely makes it hard sometimes. But ya know, rude is not an excuse for rude π€·π»ββοΈ

Dying Light got a rework because it heavily encouraged Tunneling.
I wonder what's taking them so long to rework Moris.

Absolutely, I know exactly what you mean. To be fair, I think it is a two-way street in the sense that people who like to go out of their way to be nice to their opponents will do so regardless of which role they're playing, and I think there are just as many mean people out there playing both roles. It's just that, because of the 4:1 ratio, you're four times as likely to get a toxic survivor in your game than a toxic killer. At least from what I've found, usually if the "survivors" are being toxic it's actually only one or two of them, but it only takes one to spoil the whole experience.
In my case, half the time I don't care about winning, but if I do want to win I won't go easy on anyone. However, I also won't gloat or rub my victory in their face - I won't wait around and waste time at the gates as survivor, and I won't pretend I'm going to let someone go and then kill them at the last minute. I think that kind of behaviour is cruel and unnecessary, and says a lot about the kind of person someone is.
