Survivors should get kicked from matches if they don't do anything.
Let's make it 6 minutes of not doing jack ######### and they get booted from the game.
Like seriously, either come out and die like a big boy, or disconnect. If you're not gonna do anything, you really don't deserve to play.
How the idea works: Breaking totems (not touching, BREAKING), working on a gen for 20 seconds, unhooking a survivor, fully healing an injured survivor, and getting in a chase with the killer will reset the timer.
This is as fair as I can think of this mechanic being.

Nah fam. Its your job to find them. Do your job. 🤷

AH yes, find the prestige 3 Claudette that is hiding in the grass like they are a god damn rabbit about to be snatched by a hawk.
YOU try spending most the match looking for the Coward that is too chicken ######### to do anything but hide.

I have more simple idea as the trial starts at 5min count down, each Gen done will add in another 5min. However if the count down is timeout. EGC triggered.
Survivors hiding doing nothing is rare, but its super annoying that you just walk around a whole 10min without making the game progressing. And Im sure its a game hostage which you can report.

Sorry, I'm confused.
The killer being able to close the hatch prevents these situations.
How did you spend that long looking for someone. Were they the last ones alive?

Kicking survivors out of the trial for hiding isn't fair. Here's a real example of why:
I was up against a Pig with an Ebony Mori on Coldwind Farm, who had already killed two of my teammates. As far as I could tell, the Pig had Surveillance, BBQ, an unknown Hex perk (was destroyed right at the start), and possibly NOED (because you should always assume NOED until proven otherwise).
I'd done a few safe unhooks and solo generators, and both myself and the other remaining survivor (Kate) knew where the hatch was. With the three generators regressing, my best hope was to wait it out. I counted on my stealth ability being greater than my teammate's so I could GTFO.
The match was very tense for a few minutes, during which time I simply broke a dull totem I found out in the middle of the cornfields and walked around the finished generators.
Eventually, Pig found Kate and downed her right on top of the hatch. Much to my surprise, she was hooked. I was right there, so BBQ didn't show my aura. Once the sacrificial animation was almost done, I ran for the hatch and jumped in just as it opened.
Under your suggestion, and if Kate had been better at stealth, we would've had no choice but to hand ourselves to the killer. With Surveillance we couldn't have repaired a single generator without Pig knowing and with the Ebony Mori I would've been ######### regardless. Kate had never been hooked until that point and was, in fact, the one who unhooked me when I was hooked the first time.
The matches definitely should have some sort of limit, but the idea of just kicking out survivors is bad. Because sometimes, hiding is all you can do.

What if there are like 3-4 Gens and 2 Survivors? Usually both of them will hide waiting for other to die.
5 -
I can see that happening, but 2 would be easier to find than 1...in my opinion.

I have. I just don't let it upset me enough to make a forum post about it and demand the game change for something that's not that common.
I go watch YouTube, or braid my hair, or get a snack, make a tiktok. There's about a million other ways I can spend my time while waiting for some idiot to realize the only person's time they are really wasting is thier own. 🤷♀️

There's a perk called whispers if you're finding yourself in scenarios like this. Use it. It's actually a very great tracking perk!

It's also an issue for other survivors. Having one teammate who does nothing but hiding greatly affects your own chances of doing well.

Why not just conndct it to the afk crows? My last game with an afk survivor they were hiding in a locker on The Game. This was early in the match and got one crow, weren't hooked until I found them as huntress and without a mori or Iri head and the other 3 survivers were still alive. Thankfully for the other survivors they actually played the game after being rescued.

Peanits confirmed this is bannable as they are holding the game hostage (if its the last 2) because they are refusing to do the objective so the game cant advance (aka why its considered holding the game hostage) so just report them they can enjoy their ban.

if the game wasn't so easy to win as survivor lol
I do nothing most games
Perkless, genless hide made it all the way to rank one like that

fully cleanses Totem at 5m59s

afk crow need to be update especially if only 2 survivors are left and hasn't touched gens like forever
Just spam emote or do duck walk circle and afk crow doesn't trigger at all

That is, but I don’t think he’s even talking about when it’s two survivors left not doing anything.Pretty sure he is talking about ome survivor who’s just hiding a lot that he can’t find from the start of the game (the stereotypical urban evading Claudette hiding in the corner a lot ). That’s why he has conditions like unhooking and healing in there. While boring and being a bad teammate, that’s obviously not reportable.
2 -
We all have that survivor lol. I was afraid of being banned because i play on ps4 and i was killer and they had a blendette who wasnt helping so the meg added me to a group and was spam giving me locations i didnt know whether to ignore it and let her go or listen to it and kill her. I know how it feels as well but its not bannable.

Exactly this. If you don't want to get kicked, be active, start a chase, save a teammate, work on a gen, just do anything but be useless. It is unfun for both sides when even one player refuses to play.

That wouldn't be a very great idea. Someone hiding in a corner all match yeah can be annoying, but it's your job as a killer to find them and if you can't find them, well then that's your problem not theirs. Now on the survivors side, yes it's also annoying playing with a useless teammate, but there's a solution for that. If you have 3 useless teammates that are being immersed, well then do the same thing and wait for hatch or you try doing gens yourself. Now if there's just you and one other person left with 3 gens left, most likely both of you guys are going to hide rather than get gens done because you're very likely to be found doing a gen with only 2 people left. Getting kicked for not doing anything would be a very dumb idea. Hiding in a corner isn't game-breaking, it's just a strategy some people like doing, and being kicked for that wouldn't help.

then they could just wait until EGC starts and open the doors.

I did report them, I enjoyed it a lot. The problem is getting to that point. I either wait for them to do ANYTHING, or I disconnect and get Punished. This is why a while ago I suggested one free dc, because there will always be a match that is held hostage or the other survivors are trying to get you killed and out of the game.

If they aren't trying to escape, help, or anything, they shouldn't really be playing. Also take into account the killer side, which you clearly disregarded. NOT EVERY KILLER is gonna be expecting to have the game held hostage by 2 survivors that don't want to do anything. That's why I gave the 6 minute timer, that is plenty of time to start a chase or do anything that lets the match continue.

Like afk wraiths that just hide all game?
4 -
So, survivors would basicly not touch any gen, just kill all the totems they could find to prevent noed, and after 5 minutes the egc powers the gates, and 4 unhooked survivors have to choose between 2 doors to escape. dosnt sound like desireable gameplay to me, actually.
2 -
They are unable to hold the game hostage, least not as well as 2 survivors. But yes, that should be taken into account. Whenever someone get's kicked, it will count as a dc.

This is why we have a crows feature. The crows tell you where someone is if they haven't moved in a long period of time. The crows feature is already enough IMO. Like i said, if nobody wants to do anything, that's just a strat you gotta do sometimes, usually when there's 3 gens and two people left. If there's one person doing nothing while there's still 3 other people left alive, you can still win the match without them even though it's annoying as hell.
1 -
Emoting prevents crows pretty sure because i was standing still emoting for a while.
0 -
Crows don't help if they are constantly moving. It isn't enough to stop the game being held hostage imo. And it's not the problem of it being a strat at times, that's why it's 6 minutes, the main problem is 2 people holding the game hostage. It doesn't happen often but it is often enough that it needs a better punishment, because most of the time reports don't do anything at all.

I know that this whole standing still issue is annoying, and sure I would love for it to be fixed, but I don't think being kicked is the way to go. I'm not sure what they could do, but I personally don't think kicking is the best idea, if you can come up with another opinion I would love to check it out, but IMO just don't think kicking is the way to go. I just feel like the whole kicking idea can hurt the game a little bit and it could possibly be used in the wrong ways. Again, I would love to look at another idea.
1 -
Aura showing, constant sound notifications, those are really the only ones I can think of. They wouldn't be kicked from the game but the match will still be able to end.
I still like the idea of kicking them though, have a ui effect of the entity consuming them.
