How far would these go? Could we potentially see things such as Jason for Trapper, Squarehead (Evil Within) for Pyramid Head, or Carl the Cashier as GF? Pretend we're in a fantasy land and licenses don't exist. Pretty please?

Im just confused if we have to buy them or not or is this the new prestige they talked about?
Also they can't do that stuff they could get sued under law for not following license laws so yeah.

@MonsterInMyMind It is not a new prestige it is locked in legendary outfits. It means that it will instantly equip all part of the outfit if you select one. They are a new category in the store so yes, they will be purchasable outfits.

It wouldn't make sense to just give survivors legendary skins and ignore the killer side what she meant is you select it and it fills all three cosmetic slots instantly.

I feel like if it changes the character completely they're going to want to limit them to licensed because if they stick to original characters there won't be nearly as much hype. In terms of this chapter, fans of Lisa can also play as her by using Cheryl's legendary cosmetic.
If Trapper has a cosmetic that changes him to say "Bob Roberts", where would the hype be?

I can see Pious Augustus from Eternal Darkness being introduced as a legendary doctor skin as sanity also plays a big part in that game. I would also like to think that Mantorok was related to the entity somehow and now (in true Die Hard WaV fashion) there is bad blood between the Entity and the poor fool who killed it's brother.

I think this will lend itself to licenses most of all. Since they can already change originals so completely. Just look at some of the wraith cosmetics.
but with licenses, maybe we get more stranger things characters, silent hill ones, maybe different Nightmare on elm street survivors, or robert Englund Freddy skins. Maybe we get other characters from Saw, maybe even jigsaw?
i dont think they turn originals INTO licenses, like trapper into Jason, or clown into Pennywise. I think they would make far more money as stand alone, and honestly WANT them as real characters with specific powers and perks, and realms. Its far more of an accomplishment to have Jason in the game, then a rip off skin of him. If you hear from the devs, its their dreams to have certain characters in the game. As far as Jason goes, I feel its only a matter of time. The lawsuit will eventually end, and whatever side wins, will want to cash in on that fact, knowing many outlets have been patiently waiting for that to be settled and make products. And with F-13 basically dead, (studio has moved on to other games) its ripe for the plucking.
to recap, i think this legendary skin thing will most likely pertain to mostly licenses. as a way to get more out of the licenses, without having to disrupt the balance of survivor to killer ratio. (get more characters, don't have to add perks every time) But could see something in originals just not sure how, unless we see an original turned into a license. (I've see mystery incorporated, (Scooby Doo) which is a fun outside the box idea. Dwight into Fred, Meg into Daphne, Feng into Velma, Jake into shaggy.
Either way im interested to see what they do with this.

First, John is an old man with cancer. He isn't suited for killer, who chases survs and vaults windows. His physical condition is horrifying. Second, he is a mastermind, not just killer with bloodlust. Third, his philosophy contradicts with methods Pig uses as killer.

That doesn't work in DbD the devs could just say the entity is forcing him or twisted his mind/the entity made him strong and cured his cancer.
They bend source rules all the time they just did it to Silent Hill heavily Pyramid Head has nothing to do with the elementary school/Heather but they waved entity magic to have a mix of 3 games lore bending backwards.

Any reason to give it to non licensed Killers as you could just make them original.
I think the main purpose of it is to bring characters they normally wouldn't be able to get due to maybe time, money or negotiation issues. this way that character can be a cosmetic without having to come up with a bunch of backstory perks and a lot of other stuff.
Hey Stranger things for example if they wanted to add Robin or Barb they wouldn't be able to because they have to renegotiate get the ok on perks backstory and perk quotes but with legendary cosmetics you can add both of these characters to Nancy and skip a lot of the difficult negotiations.
It's not much need to change the Meg or Claudette into a different character that you couldn't just make an original character

I’d rather have Jonathan and Robin because if they use the same perks as Steve and Nancy would then Jonathan would make more sense with Steve’s perks regarding Jonathan and his brother Will. Not to mention that if they need to make a lore for him and Robin it would make more sense to have them team up to find Steve and Nancy than it would to see Billy and Robin as survivors since Robin and the others spent most of season 3 worried about being killed by Billy. I love Stranger Things though and I really hope we can get legendary cosmetics for Nancy and Steve really soon! 😁😁😁😁

I agree. I believe as soon as a killer, or survivor for that matter, is 'chosen' by the Entity, they get a 'buff' and their previous serious ailments are gone.
Many of the killers in DBD perform acts that would be impossible in their 'previous forms'. For example, Amanda Young (listed as 107lbs) would be unlikely to carry the likes of Jeff or Jane on her shoulder and then hang them on a hook. Same goes for the small female Legions.
Also, many of the characters were on the verge of death when plucked at the brink by the Entity (Amanda and Tapp, for example).
So yes, physical conditioning, serious disease and probable death are written off when entering the Fog.

Some killers are getting legendary ones, too. It's just cosmetics that may not be fitting if worn with other pieces. For example, all legion members wear hoodies. If they were to wear a bunny head with a hoodie, it would look awfully wrong aesthetically and logically

Wonder how much they’ll cost..Over 10 bucks for an outfit is already a lot. And you can even customize it. Turning a character to an other and that’s it doesn’t soud that great. Not for survivor at least. And for killer it would look weird.

The question that matters the most is how expensive they'll be. It's already a paid game with paid dlcs, paid cosmetics and a paid battle pass. A 20 dollar skin does not belong in a game like this, it's starting to look like a f2p business model, except that the game is not f2p :v

I just was looking through some of the cosmetics today and realized that in a sense the Left4Dead cosmetics we got for Dwight/Meg/Claudette/Jake are very similar to the legendary skin for Lisa Garland (minus the new voicework). Could we be able to just buy the character or DLC or some cosmetic pack to be get the legendary skins? I feel like I’m onto something with this to answer some of y’all’s questions.
