Face Campers Ideas

Killers who camp seem to be a problem. Could the game be modified so the crows immediately were attracted to a hooked victim, but instead of circling the victim could they fly around the killer's head partially blocking his point of view? It is a great game but there seems to be a need for some sort of escape option for players who get hooked and no team mates will free because of face camping killers. Maybe the chance of sliding off the hook increases when the killer is in close proximity to the hook? Maybe the appearing Entity stuns the killer if they are too close to the hook when it appears?

I mean, you could always not get caught.

In all seriousness survivors are getting buffs in the patch that is coming:

    Soon

So if you could wait until after that, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Anti-camping mechanics were tested and always abused by Survivors. There won't be any anymore.

They seem to be a problem? But are they really a problem? According to the devs they are not a problem.

Camping is a legitimate strategy, endorsed by and balanced for by the devs since it's development way back in dev diaries 3. (Maybe someone will be kind enough to look you the YouTube) it has been and was always intended to be a strategy.

and again, anotherone crying for nerfs.
    what about: NO.
nerfing killers is a bad idea, they already have it hard enough!

why is no one here posting something like "can we please reward a killer who is not camping", but everyone crying "NERF KILLERS!! KILLERS OP!!!!!!! FACECAMP OP!!!!"

Facecamping doesn't exist anymore, the killer can't block the unhook prompt. By the devs' own words, camping is a valid strategy. It can be a stupid strategy, but it's dev approved. They're not going to stun a killer for doing something they themselves do.

Don't get caught. If you do get caught and camped, stay on the hook the full 2 minutes. Make him waste two minutes while your team does gens. If your teammate is being camped, DO GENS. If a killer camps for 2 minutes, at LEAST 3 gens should be done during that time.

Punishing the killer for camping is ENTIRELY in the survivor's hands. When camping killers start getting a guaranteed max of 1 kill and a depip, camping will mostly die off. As it stands right now, a camping killer can be fed four kills by survivors who hover around the hook not doing gens for 2 minutes.

Increase your chance to jump off the hook if the killer is right there? Good strategy... for getting re-hooked immediately.

Because the killer already isnt rewarded for camping

Again, I think the crow idea is a legitimate one. I'm not a noob, but when you play with noob killers or noob teammates (due to randomness) it makes for an unfun playing situation. I'm not saying nerf the killers but apply the same anti-camping crows that survivors have to put up with.

If the Killer is a noob, how come you're the one who lost?

getting hooked isn't the same as losing. I'm doing fine, thank you. It was a suggestion for more fun play. I've played both Killer and Survivor and Killer is way way easier to get massive point games.

You lost at stealth and lost the chase twice. That's losing in my book. But sure, define "losing" and "noob" in a way that doesn't include you if it makes you feel better...

Thanks Orion. I was thinking more of what I've noticed from watching other players and what could help make the game more fun for all. Again it would not stop or prevent camping just increase the likelihood such killers would have motivation to try something else.

Punishment is not motivation. Camping is here to stay, so either stay off the hook or learn to take the loss.
