So nobody really saw this coming?

As soon as I saw the shape of that 4 in the anniversary I knew it was gonna be Pyramid Head, especially since it was that sharp looking. Also would anybody really like Candyman compared to Pyramid Head, to me at least, Pyramid Head seems like a way more fun and interesting character to play as, but what do you guys think?

The Candyman argument is pure speculation. Both have plenty of powers and implementations to choose from so comparing them has no definite answer. It's limited by your imagination.

Could take it or leave it he’s not really iconic. He’s in 2 games =p were as alien has like countless games and movies that said I’ll buy it cause I like dbd. And I’m sure I’ll love it. Thou ph movement speed should be 90-95 cause of how slow he is in the games carrying that large sword around just saying lol

Plenty of people saw this coming, insofar as it has been subject to requests/guesses/speculation for a long time. Same can be said for Hellraiser, It, Friday the 13th, Candyman, Chucky, the Babadook, Mandy, Leprechaun, Cabin in the Woods, The Ring, The Grudge, Lost Boys, Maniac Cop, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, Zombieland, Resident Evil, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, What We Do in the Shadows, Scooby Doo, Slenderman, Jeff the Killer, and Harvey Weinstein.

Anything you can think of has been suggested or speculated.

I'm with ya, called it as soon as I saw that 4 and when they mentioned a long standing Horror icon plus some stuff I had heard about Konami looking into Silent Hills but then dropping it yet it was known that something about people involved with the series were still working on/with something else. Silent Hill is one of the great series in gaming history and this chapter can't come soon enough. Pyramid Head is gonna be a sweet addition to my Killer roster.

I'll admit, Pyramid Head was barely even on my radar.

To me, the shape of the 4 was just a coincidence that I could barely even see. Everything pointed to Candyman for me.

Here's the thing though. According to Leaks by Daylight, Pyramid Head had to be nerfed before coming to the PTB. Perhaps he was slated for 17 and Candyman for 16 to coincide with the movie's release. The pushback caused everything to change, so Silent Hill got pushed up and Candyman will come out in September.

Just a theory, and me being slightly disappointed in being wrong, but I'm over that.

Yeah. Other people mentioned it, and certain hints brought it to mind. I have to admit, though, that the two friends named Simon confused me. Guess i don't really know enough about Silent Hill lore.
