YES, Pyramid head might be a revolutionary

Killers point of view:

  1. Making the killer more brutal and harder to escape/play against.
  2. Sending survivors directly to the gulag also saves some time for the killer, but also ~kindof removes face-camping.
  3. Tired against 3000 hours perfect looping survivors which equals to 0 horror, 0 fun, 100% stress? No more.

This will give this killer an actual fear factor, you really don't want to be found by the killer, no matter how good you are. All killers need this, as it will make the game more fun for killers, and more scary for survivors (which should be the actual point anyways).


Survivors point of view:

  1. Game just got really harder, because pallet looping is actually countered this time, I suggest adding more powerful pallets, where the killer can't walk around them. So that survivors can use them to get some distance without resorting to loop.
  2. Playing immersed can finally become a thing. This will change meta perks, and may even make a ton of perks viable, especially the deception ones. Not only this, but being immersed in a horror game is a ton more fun than just looping around the same canker spots, only to get stuck on some little rock and then getting caught by the killer because you made a pathing mistake.


Conclusion:

If Pyramid Head will have success and finally change this boring game meta, it will show that the time has come for all the other killers to be remade into more powerful, brutal and scary killers as well, with more complex kits.

If you want to make a good horror movie/game product, the people consuming it should be immersed, scared of every sound and random movement on the screen. (Imagine how lame a horror movie is while you are watching it with 3-4 friends, talking through it, laughing, not giving a damn, the horror movie loses all its core and just becomes bad comedy).
