The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Devs please change all second hooks to skill checks!!!
I would love to see some sort of survey question asking if players would prefer the skill check option over mashing the key... I am hoping this is a test and they will move it to all killers soon.
People who wanna quit can still purposely die, and those of us who want to struggle still get a sense of dread waiting for the skill check. I would argue it’s more suspenseful than mashing where the only scary thing is a lag spike killing you.

This is probably a bad idea...distressing + overwhelming presense and then proxy camp. It would buff the ######### out of bubba 😂

Look on the plus side- no more insidious

Fair 😂

The only issue I have with skillchecks is that they're harder on newbies, so you might get a lot of deaths at yellow ranks that would otherwise have been prevented.
I know I would have died by accident a lot.

Those skillchecks occupy like half of the skillcheck circle. You'd actually have to have your eyes closed to miss them.

^this is the most logical option. Struggle is a delicate mechanic. You don't want rng and outside factors like lag etc. come into play and cause an accidental suicide, because it's a very hefty consequence when a player is removed from the trial. Make it automatic and give the suicide option on second stage. Simple, straightforward and foolproof. No need to overthink this.

i agree, it’s a HUGE area.
They could make it so lullaby, overwhelming, etc don’t affect it... I think they have it like that for pig traps already right?

No, please change all second hooks to auto-struggle with no option for a player to suicide.

That’s my first choice but I don’t think they’ll ever give us that... they want the phase to feel “suspenseful,” like you’re fighting for your life

nah devs have stated that in order for you to be immersed and feel the struggle and pain of being hooked,... you gotta sit there mashing a button to feel one with the game.
crock of crap though, everyone hates hitting spacebar repeatedly, I set mine to F key

Players have been complaining about this since 2016. Did the devs look like they changed it? They keep insisting on that immersion narrative, but it just looks like they've made up their minds and they don't want to admit that they kept a useless mechanic in the game for so long.

This is such a weird hill for them to die on. This mechanic goes from "suspenseful" to "annoying" after like hour 2. There's no argument, no defensible position that exists, around the idea that any player who is not brand-new to the game gets something of value out of mashing spacebar.

I agree, like I said above I think something timing based like the skill check would be better... a little bit of surprise when the skill check is coming instead of mashing

I think any possibility of the player inducing failure by suicide should be removed, because it ultimately amounts to the same result as a disconnect.

Oh, fair enough then 😀
