PSA: Second Hook Suicide Due to Selfish Survivors
- First to get hooked
- Another survivor unhooks me immediately
- Same selfish survivor runs around the corner
- Killer takes me down again right away
- Selfish survivor is coming my way to do it again
In this scenario I will not struggle. I will simply die right there on the second hook.
Neither the other survivor or the killer were breaking any rules. The killer chose to take what was laid in his lap by the second survivor playing like a jerk. I don't actually blame the killer for doing that.
However, to the killer that just messaged me after such a game......
I am under no obligation to allow a selfish survivor to hook farm me yet again in that situation. I am under no obligation to allow you to get that third hook. Both you and the other survivor made your choices. I made mine. None of us broke any rules in doing so.
If you are actually interested in getting that third hook you might want to target the survivor playing selfishly because they are very often the ones that make people choose to hook suicide, or even DC. I hardly ever DC (can't remember the last time I did). I do hook suicide though, and it's never because of a killer. It's because of other survivors. I refuse to reward their behavior. I would venture to guess I'm not the only survivor main that feels that way.
I reiterate. I don't blame you for taking advantage of the easier option when a selfish survivor lays it at your feet. However, presuming I have an obligation to you in that situation is ridiculous.

Right on! Its a game. If you're having fun, play it. If you aren't having fun, don't. I don't recommend DCing, as it gets a timeout, but you can go ahead and die on hook any time you like.
If its clear that I'm up against a flashlight clicking Teabagging bully group of survivors, I just go find a spot and chill till they escape. Usually goes with them powering all gens, coming over to flashlight click at me, and then I go hit the gate to start EGC until they run away.

You are the problem, see my thread. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/154233/please-do-something-about-survivors-suicide-on-hook/p1

I mean, it sounds like you have a problem.
Tell me the logic chain, why should anyone stay in a game if they aren't having fun in said game? Killer or survivor?

👏👏
You are under no obligation to benefit selfish taters.
I also appreciate your sentiment about actions having reactions when it comes to how Killers capitalize on these moments. 🙌

I've seen it. Disagree with the premise of your thread. Also disagree I am the problem. But that's ok.

Everyone has seen your ranty thread 🙄

Sorry, but just because you create a thread, doesn't make what it said true. Context is important. Quitting simply because you got hooked first is much different than being hook farmed by a teammate and the killer tunneling you because of it. When you see they are going to do it again, you aren't going to be able to help your team anyway. In some games, your survivor teammates are a bigger threat than the killer.

I get frustrated with that one myself. If I'm on a time crunch I may hook suicide in that situation and try to get in another quick game. The situation I posted about here though will always result in a hook suicide for me. I guess I can handle other survivors being apathetic towards me better than I can actively working against me. That's just a personal thing though.

Bingo. In that situation my game is over one way or the other. By sticking around to be farmed yet again the only people being helped are the ones farming/tunneling me in the first place. Given those choices.... I will choose not to help them and move on to the next match.
