Check the banner at the top of the page, it'll have all the details you need. Basically the PTB (Player Test Build) is an optional version of the game available on Steam. You can opt into it and play the next chapter.
Unfortunately it's only available on Steam at the moment.

This makes me wonder will PS4, Xbox1, and Switch get it as well?

They only ever do the PTB on Steam.

Thank you all for the info! Well, I'm extremely excited for this chapter and look forward to being the first premier Pyramid Head player on Switch! Catch ya in The Fog! ;3

Look at what I quoted. Then reread how I replied.

Probably not... because sony and microsoft don't like those things on console.

Dont bother me tbh I was just curious due to how it was worded.

That's what I was responding to. I mean, never say never, re: other platforms. But they probably just stick with Steam because they can control the whole ecosystem that way, and it's certainly not cost-effective for them to fuss with console partners over a limited beta for live service patches.

I can't speak for all consoles, but I know that XBox will never have something like a PTB. Every patch/release has to go through an approval process on that console so that microsoft can make sure there are no exploits or system (read: the console, not the game) breaking bugs. This is the reason some patches have been delayed by a few hours releasing to xbox compared to PC. given that effort (and likely expense) to release it wouldn't make any sense for them to do PTB on xbox. it's a lot of effort for something that has a life cycle of a few weeks just to get feedback and final UAT. I imagine other consoles (switch, ps4) have a similar vetting process, so likely the same story there.
