Welcoming all hot takes unpopular opinions and tough questions. We argue in this segment. What killers do you think are not as good as people think? You don't have to post a hot take on this theme. My hot take is huntress. She has no map control and the hatchets have a really bad hitbox.

I wanna say doctor too many people complain about him usually the people who like to camp at pallets. He really isn't all that powerful.

That's survivor mains, but on the killers side, people love kissing his ass, he is not very good.

Charles Manson is very overrated, considering he didn't even kill anyone, but everybody talks about him like he did.

Nurse.
She's glitchy, especially on multi-story maps. There are also several 'unblinkable' objects she really should be able to blink through.
Her recovery after blinking can also be highly annoying.

Oni is crap.
Without his power he's just a clunky M1 killer. Good luck catching a good survivor at a loop.
With his power he's a worse Hillbilly.

I agree, she is still the best killer in the game in my opinion, but she is very glitchy and not fun at all to play as.

I agree, he's an absolute clunkmeister. I don't enjoy playing as him.

I disagree, I don't even like playing him, but if when he gets his power he is very very good. He isn't meant to be played like Billy, his power has his own advantages.

Ok, I got a few:
I think that Freddy is overrated, he's not THAT strong imo, Myers and Huntress are far better despite having less mobility.

As a now 2 year Freddy and myers main I am biased as hell, so I disagree, he has the clowns power plus map pressure. Huntress is not that good right now because of her hitbox.

Huntress can snipe across the map, plus I've seen sweats play with her, a god tier Huntress or god tier Billy are killers I FEAR completely. Good Huntresses or Billies don't make me scared though. But god tier players with them... you don't ######### with them.

I 110% agree! Wraith is so overrated because true played him for a day. The builds are good but he isn't even somewhat competitive. He needs a secondary power.

My vote is The Nurse above all else.
Nurse isn't in a good spot right now and even playing against one of the legendary "Good" Nurses I still juked her for over 2 mins straight for 3 gens without giving her a single hit simply because you can outrun her blink distance due to the recharge.
Mind you most nurses can only hit me once before I juke them for all 5 gens so the one above was well into the "Good" range.

I agree, I think nurse is still the best killer in the game but not by a long shot anymore, spirit, Billy, Oni and freddy are close. Also in my opinion she is the least fun killer to play.

Hillbilly. If you have to rely on an instant-down, then you are not a good killer. I don't give two flying fornications about "positioning" or any of those garbage excuses. You already have mobility and destruction in a button press, with no real cooldown. You don't need an instant-down on top of that.
Freddy is only as good as you let him be. Unless they hide the snares really well, he's just a basic killer who can occasionally teleport to a generator.
The Legion are actually really good killers, if you aren't desperate for 4 skulls at the end of a match. They are balanced around the emblem system and can easily rank you up with a massive amount of BP gain.
Doctor's designed to be annoying. He also has one real strength, and that's tracking. If you can loop effectively without relying on pallets or windows, he's really easy to beat. Lockers also just cancel Static Blast. Just jump in one of them if you hear the wind up. It's not that hard.
Hag should have the proximity to hook penalty applied to her if her traps are also close to a survivor. You may as well be considered a full-on camper if you place a trap within 10m of a hooked survivor.

I think hillbilly is fine as he is right now. The thing about Freddy is that if they go around the snares, they aren't rounding corners, so the killer can actually still get to the survivor fast. I agree with you on the doctor, when I play survivor I don't actually find him annoying. I think that hag is fine and not a camper if they put a trap next to a hooked survivor, but I see these dumb hags that put like 4 traps and that is camping.

I agree, she can still be looped and you can hear her footsteps. I think she is boring to play as but very fun to play against.

I've faced good Hags, but they're 1 in a million. Most of the Hags I face are between ranks 10-17 and place about 4 traps in every possible entrance or 3 directly at my feet.

Yeah, but good Hags would never camp. Place a trap AROUND the hook, sure, even I place 1 in the route I predict them using to unhook, and I use it to force the unhooked and unhooker back into my web if they do not trigger it. She's all about map pressure and forcing them back into her webs by cutting routes off. That being said, I face bad Hags a lot too, but when I face a good Hag, I show them a lot of respect when they win.

I disagree, whenever I see him in a tier list he is a lower tier, even though he can do so much with his addons with very creative builds.

On a serious note, I'd say nurse, but I guess it's because I just plain suck w her. I've spent countless hours trying to master her too(ps4), and I think she's a huge steamy pile of 💩💩💩

I think people overrate Ghostface. He's a good and fun killer, but he can easily countered and while playing him you need to play around the fact that survivors will counter you.

Hag is one of the most overrated killers imo. Very easily shut down by survivors that know what they're doing. She is one of the hardest noob stompers though.
Not saying she's bad, she's quite good, just overrated on most tier lists and opinions. Imo.

I don't think she is easily shut down by survivors, because you can put traps in unexpected places, watch space coconut. Also she used to be underrated as hell. However she is overrated on most tier lists, she doesn't belong in S tier.

New killers seem to have alternate attack beside their ability. Oni able to soft tracking injured survivors, able to dash & strike. Pyramid also able to soft spot survivors with trend, able to do range attack with instant hook ability.
Re-worked Killers like Nightmare simply put survivors to sleep to debuff; now able to auto debuff themselves, snare to slow down/spotting, teleport between Gens. Doc from shock mode now also have shock blast with 64m radius to spot survivors.
Original Killers and Clown need 2nd ability.

That has absolutely nothing to do with how good the Hag is. There are plenty of Billies that don't even use his chainsaw to attack does that mean he's bad?

Billy and Freddy.
Billy is a good killer don’t get me wrong, but people place him way too high on tier lists. His instadown can be denied by survivors correctly running tiles and a lot of Billy players are way too amphibious on their curves and waste time bumping into objects. Oni is better than Billy IMO.
Freddy is also a good killer but is he top tier? No. He’s like #6 or #7 to me personally. The reason he is played frequently is because he’s the easiest killer in the game to use with good results. Basically a low stress killer that you can turn your brain off and not think.
I also don’t see why Doctor is highly talking about like he is an A tier. He’s WAY better than before but you’ll still get stomped by good teams. He’s designed to be an annoyance, nothing more.

Plus one to Nurse being overrated. I need to face more god Nurses before I start ranking her higher. My tougher games seem to be Freddy and Spirit.

I agree with you on Billy, he can bump into objects too much and 360 can counter his chainsaw pretty easily, and oni is better than him. Freddy may be easy to play but he is hard to master. Freddy is very good because he has clowns power which is very good in chase and he can teleport to gens which gives him map pressure. His addons are very good as well, like the pill box which if you run it with monitor and abuse can help you sneak up to people. The black box can be used with the jump rope to help decrease gen speeds and keep the obsession permanently in the dream world. Doctor still is a mid tier killer and can be easily countered.

Nurse.
I see people say she's the strongest/best but I've come across maybe a handful that were a challenge. Maybe it's because I'm on PS4. She's one killer I've never had a problem running for 5 gens and have escaped from the most. If I'm downed it's from my own mistakes like I ran into a dead end or got stuck on a corner or didn't realize my controller was low battery and it died.

Overrated. Not bad.
I said if you rely on the fact that the chainsaw is an instant down, then you as a player are bad at the killer role.
And if the first resort of an overwhelming majority of your playerbase is to use a third to half of a power for the sole purpose of CAMPING, even if by proxy, then that speaks volumes about a killer.

Super overrated. He only got a 3K in his first Haddonfield match, and then got Decisive Striked with a coat hangar. He was such a noob that Laurie got that Adept achievement, and then never shut up about it for 40 years.

He doesn't even know how to chase. He's constantly AFK through everything like his mom keeps yelling at him to take out the trash.

All jokes aside, I don't see why Myers is so highly thought of. His one advantage is a greatly reduced TR, but he has no map coverage, and due to the nature of his power he either snowballs hard, or falls completely on his face. He's really dependent on survivors making big, obvious mistakes.

All his matches are vs. potatoes. His victims include:
- A girl who got stuck vaulting through a window.
- A dude who constantly makes loud noise pings.
- A girl who blew a gen and then just stood there taunting him while he got to tier 3.

As you see in this thread you can make a case for all killers. The same when we talk about underrated killers, you can make a case for all of them being better than people think. So what is the truth? The truth is no killer is OP but all can be very good in the right hands.
