Because SOME games, there isn't time or means to get away from these killers. And they didn't have to wait 20 minutes for a 2 minute game.

    BIG Difference:

Survivors have to do Gens in order to escape.

Killers have a choice if they want to use a Mori (and mori the person off Hook instantly) or play normally and will have a chance for a 4K in both ways.

To use a mori during the first one or two minutes is just trash. The game is balanced 4 vs 1 and have the choice to mori a survivor instant with a „offering“ is just op and unhealthy for the game.

If you think such a instant mori is fine and fair so give survivors an offering that the hatch sporns at the match beginning... that’s the same for survivor side!!

i feel like moris are sometimes frustrating and unfair, but its a part of the game. You have to deal with it. I feel like a green mori as killer is a way to instantly apply pressure. and sometimes can help, especially with a lackluster killer, on a not so ideal map.

at the end of the day. Tunneling, moris, camping is all strategy. It may be lame, and unfun to some, but its a strategy. I look at the game as a real life situation sometimes. If a Real killer captures you, and stands there and never leaves your sight, you can just cry about it, if a friend helps you escape and the killer continues to hunt you down, thats what it is! The games got plenty of items, perks and assets to help try to escape all those situations. Thats what makes the game good. Randomness. Your actions, your teammates actions, the items you and teammates bring into game, the perks the group of you bring, the map layout you get dropped into, all create a set of circumstances with the unknown killer and his perks and addons that make each game either an epic failure or easy win. It's the definition of using you're tools, environment and skills to your best advantage.

Sometimes you take the good with the bad.

I don't get it either because it costs them bloodpoints too and I can't believe it's fun to play like that. Yesterday I encountered a tunneling face camping Bubba, almost made it out but then he started slugging for the 4k.... He wastes my time so when on hook I hang on as long as possible (while entertaining myself by browsing the internet😁) so the team has a chance. That'll teach them in the long run. I got more points than the killer that game... I just don't get tilted and remind myself there are more good than bad matches.

You're wrong, if you get survivors that know the game, there is zero chance for a 4k. Not even streamers that have thousands of hours can do it.

The game is not balanced for a 4v1, it's balanced for a maximum effort killer without a mori to get a 2k. With gen times and map resources, a 3v1 would be a fair match, so killers make it a 3v1.

And for that bubba to get to that point, he has likely had more bad matches than good and is just done. Bhvr and survivors have bred this toxic environment, so don't hate the killer for doing what he has to do.

"You're wrong, if you get survivors that know the game, there is zero chance for a 4k. Not even streamers that have thousands of hours can do it."

    This is incorrect.

A Streamer losing a game does not mean that there is 0 Chance to get a 4K. It just means that the Survivors were better than said Streamer.

But why is win = 4K?

  • Dwinchester
    Dwinchester Member Posts: 961

In a balanced game, the person with greater skill should always win. Streamers are pros, so amateurs shouldn't win. That doesn't happen here, you need a killer of exceptional skill to beat average survivors, and no killer can beat exceptional survivors.

I think the first couple minutes really set the tone of the game. If somebody catches a bad break and gets hooked quickly while the killer camps in proximity, its up to the survivors to strategize. You can let them sit on the hook for a minute and get as much repairing done as possible to punish killers. I think newer survivors are too eager to sit around and observe which wastes precious time and easy repairs in the beginning sometimes.

Just imagine thinking that broadcasting the game makes someone a "pro"...

I guess I have an idea which Streamer you are watching.

  • Dwinchester
    Dwinchester Member Posts: 961

The fact that they play 5-24 hours a day, are at the top of the rankings, and get paid to do so is the definition of being a pro.

I watch a bunch of streamers. Sattelizer, monto, tru3, umbra, otz, Aryun, Scott jund, noob3, puppers, etc. The only one that I've never seen get destroyed is umbra, but I haven't seen her face a truly exceptional team yet.

    D0nt get found ?

Don't fail to get away during the chase

    Don't get hit

don't get hit a second time

    Don't get caught?

    Do Wiggle escape

Do have your team save you

Do run away from the killer

    Don't get hit again

I mean if you failed 1-9 AND your team didn't help I mean that's kinda on you.

See this is a problem, Killers complain that survivors shouldn't be able to loop killers for 5 gens and we agree.

However, if a killer does the 3 vs 1 strat it's game over for the survivors since there is no way to finish all gens that way, since one will be hooked, one chased, and one going for the unhook, that means no one will be free to do a gen.

It's not a viable strategy but a cheap abuse of the game's mechanic to guarantee a cheap victory.

They are narcissists who only care about themselves and derive their sense of joy by ruining the enjoyment of others.

They are why DBD really needs to invest some energy in a block system.

But, how often does a killer find someone that fast and that actually happen? Maybe 8% of the time. Now, how many times do survivors spawn right next to gens and almost hammer them out by the time the killer makes it across the map because he spawned on the other side? 90% of the time. How's that fair unless your a mobile killer? The quick kill is all you have to gain momentum and slow said team down.

  • Brhoom
    Brhoom Member Posts: 241

Still using the ''maps are too big'' excuse?

Survivors only have zero pressure during the start of the match, after the first hook the pressure is on, and only one survivor will be free to do gens at best.

  • Dwinchester
    Dwinchester Member Posts: 961

I got on pallet city, moried two survivors, then just did an experiment. 3 gens left, one survivor ran from pallet to pallet, not looping at all, just throwing it instantly. They got down to 1 gen left... Certain maps just have too many resources.

  • ich_häng_mal_rum
    ich_häng_mal_rum Member Posts: 435

I think we all understand that the devs try to balance the game 4 vs 1. During the anniversary stream they told us that they want some kind of matchstart like the egc, so there will be a change. But it’s just (bad word) that a simple offering or the way some killer use it, has such a high impact.

  • Brhoom
    Brhoom Member Posts: 241

Maybe because you moried two so the last 2 survivor had too many resources to use?

  • ThisGuuy83

Then play better dude. What else you want? 🤦‍♂️

The argument was that 3vs1 is a viable strategy and I argued that it's nothing more than a cheap abuse of the game's mechanics to guarantee a cheap victory.

You replied with the maps are too big excuse, I posted that survivors only have the first chase to be able to do gens with minimal pressure, and after that the killer will be able to control the pressure for the rest of the match.

So you reply with ''Then play better''

Please learn how to argue, it's ok to admit that you have lost the argument, it's ok to be wrong sometimes. It's a step a person takes to grow into a mature adult.

Dead By Daylight's playerbase is a text-book example of a vicious cycle that just keeps repeating itself over and over again

Mori needs a rework, it’s more than unbalanced and unfair.

And survivor haven’t such strong offerings?

Killer compare moris with a key, but if a key will be used the killer have 3k before or a whole game before the hatch sporns.

I would change moris in a pink addon for killer, so they can’t run it for example with iris and belt. And a killer can start mori if all survivor were hooked.

No, my reply was addressing gen rushing if you read it, I just didn't label it that. Since the ruin nerf, how else are certain killers suppose to slow the game down at the start then? Also, they're KILLERS! There goal is to hook and kill you as fast as possible. that's there objective. There is no playing dirty. It's not dirty when survs gen rush, it's not dirty when survs pallet stun, tbag and blind the killer. It's not dirty when survs use coms, etc, etc. But anything a killer does to get an advantage is dirty and cheap, correct? And if your getting caught, hooked, caught again and mori'd at the beginning of every match (I highly doubt) then yes, my 2nd comment was correct. Get better! Plenty of other people play in the same scenario and still escape. I've gone into matches before w an ebony and didn't even get to use it, because the gens went that damn fast and the team was that damn good.

  • ich_häng_mal_rum
    ich_häng_mal_rum Member Posts: 435

Really? The goal is to kill survivor as fast as possible? Why you get so few bloodpoints or iri emblems if it’s the goal? ;-)

  • toxcitynacl

They are stupid. Had one mentally defective one with a Myers and add-ons wipe everyone up and get a grand total of 19K when two people had burnt BPS--200% BPs. This types aren't smart enough to keep from getting run over in traffic.

  • toxcitynacl
    toxcitynacl Member Posts: 464

The goal isn't actually to kill the survivors as fast as possible...unless you are incredibly stupid anyway...doing so will just cost you BPs and Pips...be like you as a survivor just going out and doing gens as fast as you can...no chases, no heals, no unhooks....let's see how that works for you.

Thing is that Ebony Moris are constantly popping up in the Bloodweb. After a certain Level you've trouble to see Green or Yellow ones. And due to Matchmaking issues Low and Midlevel Killers who got stomped by a red Rank Team will use somthing to even the odds. Personly i equip a Mori if certain Lobbyconditions are met, or when i know that certain player are Toxic Players. But than i only hunt those guys down. Toxic Players don't care for the Fun of the Killer, why should the Killer care for thiers? If the other Mates play a good and decent game without teabagging, taunting, clicky-clicky etc: They get hooked, i don't camp them, i don't tunnel them. But if you come to me with the intention getting struck down and use DS on me, guess what happens. TBH it feels better when you Mori with H:DH instead of a Ebony.

  • Dwinchester
    Dwinchester Member Posts: 961

So your logic is more resources are fine when they can complete the gens twice as fast? Makes no sense at all.

  • Flatskull
    Flatskull Member Posts: 332

Moris should of been integrated mechanically into the game. I think they're moving in the right direction with PH "mini-mori" that needs specific conditions to work and activates on third hook. Mori as an offering is neat if the game had lots of factor to help both sides make more diverse plays and maybe the devs are working on changes to maps to make that so. We are getting a big graphics update so enviromental changes are possible on that level.

I have no problem with keys and I have no problem with moris. Killers need early momentum more because they have no control of time and need to either start mad momentum to get it with the right perks, curb stomp the survivors quickly, or waste precious perk spots for stuff that honestly don't slow down gen progression all that much. I mean...corrupt intervention...big whoop...a minute or so of 3 stalled gens. Just run to a new gen and rushl ike normal.

I LIKE the idea that either side can bring something that can induce a massive advantage to the other. But with the new PH update. I kind of feel a bit more faith in the dev team and I think they could rework the system to be basekit...not an offering...but work under specifical conditions and mechanics, even if its special to each killer. It would be nice if killers could just...KILL...and it would be nice if survivors didn't see a mori and instantly go "whelp. If some ######### unhooks me for farm points thats me mori'ed" which is lame. Especially for solo survivors who need love.

No, Huntress + Iri Head + Ebony Mori and any amazing team WOULDN'T have a single chance if the Huntress is decent. Yes, a decent Huntress could dominate them effortlessly with those addons. And there's more from other killers who are also difficult to beat no matter your teams' skill thanks to addons. Mint Rag Hag, anyone?
