Everyone's option on deathslinger?
I would say something but every killer main in the world would get on me. What do you guys think about deathslinger?

He was interesting for about two days 😂
I got his Adept after a couple of attempts and I don't think I played him after that.
I prefer him to Oni, who's another one I got adept with and then only played to unlock trophies with.
I dislike playing against him, can be quite aggravating.

In my opinion, a poorly thought out mess. He's overpowered in a chase but can't apply pressure. As killer, helplessly watching gens get pounded is irritating and as survivor, chases are way too short so a majority of your game you'll be afk'ing on generators or hooked. I feel like Deathslinger shouldn't be nerfed or buffed, the fundamentals of him (to me) are just too broken to be salvaged.

Yeah, it can be quite aggravating. I don't have too much issues with him since people miss shots quite often if you just become a snake, lol.

I feel like they tried to make him something he's not, A killer who can be stealthy but works better if you just get out there and shoot them. I went against a deathslinger who had no terror radius and it didn't work too well for him.

I also think the character could have looked more horrific, like he was brought back from the dead. He just looks like Tex Hex from BraveStarr.

I find him boring and weak on both sides.

I find him abit sluggish compared to Huntress. You shoot someone, then gotta spend time reeling them in, hitting them, blood whip animation and reload. Compare that to Huntress who barely has any downtime inbetween hatchet hits...

I have mixed feelings. He is a fun killer but it takes too long to learn him, if your not already amazing at fps, and becoming an experienced Deathslinger requires more time than the average killer and only results in an above average killer at best. If you want good return on investment he is one of the worst to pick.

With monitor and abuse his chases are even shorter than usual. From the survivor perspective, it's extremely unfun to "play" against because many times you feel helpless.

-huntress is funnier and better, to play as and to play against
-if you dont drop the pallet he will very likely hit you, so just predrop pallets, but thats a very boring chase interaction

He's one that you're either great with or terrible with, haven't seen much middle ground. As survivor I enjoy playing against him. Having the option to fight off a hit adds more to the chase than just run/dodge.

Personally i find him rather boring, just something about him bores me thats just me tho.

probably in that " sort of uncounterable but not op".
I think of this every time people tell me that he's better than huntress. On paper, he seems stronger with his quick ads and lower terror radius but in practice he has so much built in slowdown to keep him from being crazy broken. Not to mention that not every spear you hit will have value to it.
He's fun to play. I love him win or lose but he's kind of an average killer.
Versus, If he's good, it can be a bit obnoxious as "just hold w" is the only thing you can do. But he's no spirit. His power doesn't simultaneously let him get to generators quickly, and then down survivors just as fast.

If were comparing the 2, Huntress and Deathslinger... Deathslinger has more of an opening to get a shot in at Junglegyms and such where walls can't be shot over. His ADS can let him get shots in that Huntress cant due to her taking time to get that hatchet up. On the flipside though... she has the capability to put out dmg rapidly. Given LOS, she can chuck out those 5 hatchets back to back with very little time inbetween.

I dunno. Like others I thought he was pretty good at first. Now that people know him,it's like you have to be super skilled to get any value out of him. At least Huntress has multiple hatchets,and doesn't have the potential to get stunned AND have to reload every time she uses one. Plus there's so many opportunities to duck,weave,or put something in the way. There's other killers that are better to get free hits. He's not the worst by any means though.

Extremely overrated..I find it hilarious how people like me who called out his weaknesses day one were called crazy..well look at him now XDDD hes free gen time the killer..hes even worse than n8rse in that regard and that's an achievement

He suffers the same issue as Huntress, there's insufficient counterplay in 1v1. Very minimal terror radius so stealth is not even an option. Your only thing to do is run and not stop or you die. He reminds me of old legion.

I really like him, I added him to my rotation.
Good chase music, good power, good map. He is okay in my opinion, he can cut loops and end chases faster than most killers.

When used right, top 5 killer in the game. When used poorly, he's terrible. His 1v1 potential is unparalleled except for nurse, but his map control sucks. A smart player can remedy that by strategizing gens and playing intelligently, but he gets steamrolled when players don't take his weaknesses into account. Good DSs win chases faster than any other killer, save for nurse.

Maybe it’s just my yeehaw roots but Deathslinger is the most satisfying killer to play and the only killer I “main” since legion. I love fps games so I knew I was gonna like DS. As survivor I like going against him, it’s rare to go against one but I enjoy it. STBFL can be annoying to go against I’ll agree though.
I get what some survivors say with chases being short but that’s kinda the killers job. When I see Deathslinger is unfun posts I think well then you must hate huntress too. She’s literally the better version of him.

I think he needs a buff, it should take longer to break free from the chain.
