Don't ban from the matchmaking when leaving when the game is over
I am a relatively new player and this was my first time I "left" a game. I was the last person alive & on the death hook. I didn't want to have to wait for the unnecessarily long animation to end so I left the game. Then in the lobby I find that I had been banned for leaving?
Could you please consider not banning people when the game is over? I really only left during my death animation - I was the last person alive. Alternatively, could you implement a button that skips the death animation?

I didn't know I would lose my points. I play League of Legends and I'm used to skipping the end animation so I can start a new game that much sooner. I was hoping it would be the same way. I guess I was wrong.
A skip option would be useful (to me) because 1. I could start another game that much sooner 2. when I'm not the last survivor I like to spectate and I can't rewind to see what happened during the time I was busy waiting for the end animation to finish.
It's a pity they don't listen to popular opinion either like you said, so it'll just remain a dream of mine.

Yes but if you play Overwatch for example you won't get anything if you leave early.
That's just the way DBD wants their game to work.

It's, like, 5 seconds. Chill on the caffeine and just wait, it's not hard.

But you didn't just "skip the ending animation".
This would more more analogous to, "They're on our core and it's going to die for sure, so I'll disconnect."
Sure, it's an inevitable loss, but you still don't go and disconnect until the game is actually over.
