Gamebreaking bug/exploit that survivors can abuse

There's this bug/exploit I've faced for 4 months now. I had 5 games (1 of which I just had), where if I catch the exploiting survivor, they will always get me stuck in my post hook animation, thus eventually leading them to wriggle themselves off me. This recent game I had led me to the conclusion that this is not a bug but an exploit. The survivor was literally using no mither, unbreakable, tenacity and breakout. He was the first 1 I had downed and I couldnt hook him. Not only could I not slug him due to him running those perks, but he was taking hits for his team. He was going in for the save alone, well aware that I was there. Why would a no mither survivor be so cocky if he were not be well aware of the fact that he could exploit this. The item he carried was a green toolbox, and if u ask which of the 2 (I dont remember quite frankly). Oh and if u ask of the killer I was playing as, I was deathslinger

I had the same situation a few days ago with Deathslinger. One Jane using: No mither/Unbreakable/Tenacity/Iron Will, a farm map offering and a pink key. Each time a try to hook her i was stuck on the animation for 1 min, that happened to me twice and cost me the entire game. I have sent a video proof plus the player ID but i still waiting for their answer and with the current situation it's understandable.

While he wasn't using the same perks I have experienced this also.

Highly doubt that they can exploit it intentionally. I saw it happen to other Survivors who were not running either of these Perks.

It also happened to me two times, even if I am not running either of those Perks as well.

This sounds like right slice of crap cake.

Hopefully a mod can will shove it in the bug/exploits section and this will hopefully be addressed asap.

I've experienced it a few times too. Monto also has a video someone abusing it. What ever it is I hope the devs can track it down.

How is it not intentional if the guy was getting downed with those aforementioned perks. He knew he couldnt get hooked, that's why he is so cocky and kept on taking hits. Im not saying that you can activate this bug with those perks, Im saying that these perks collarated well with the exploit. He couldnt get hooked, slugged or killed. He was essentially unkillable.

Was it something like that? https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/157556/lagswitching-survivors-on-dedicated-servers

I am also waiting for the asnwer what the hell is that. It's not a bug since it has not been acknowledged as such by devs.

Hooking requires confirmation from the survivor, to prevent the killer from being able to override a survivor's Decisive Strike. You can try it in a custom match yourself.

The (unintetional) side effect is that survivors can pull the plug of their internet moment before to lock the killer in animation AND make them drift sidewards because the server still thinks they are wiggling.

But hey! Atleast they are finally tackling lag switching killers, while survivors can still take full advantage of netcode flaws!

It's a tech! Killers just need to adapt! /s
