Spine Chill and Premonition?
What is the point of having both of these perks in the game? And why is Spine Chill so much stronger? That lets you know when the killer is looking at you, which is viable information, it basically increases the speed in which you do every action and it doesn’t have a cool down. Premonition just lets you know when you’re looking at the killer (which doesn’t mean they’re actually heading towards you), it has no other perks to it and it also has a cool down. I don’t get what the point was in having both of them in the game when one is basically a stronger version of the other.
Am I missing something?

Maybe to synergize together? Spine Chill goes off, you look around, now you know exactly where the killer is coming from? No one wants to use two perk slots for such a thing, though.

Personally, I find it more useful to know where the killer is coming from so I can leave in the other direction (assuming there are tall LOS blockers around me) than to know if the killer is looking in my general direction (which could just be the result of a chase and is easily avoidable) while also triggering more skill checks (thereby making it more dangerous to leave a generator).

I suppose you could use them together, but it just hardly feels worth it. Spine Chill can give you enough information as it is, especially when you’re in areas where you know exactly the direction the killer has to come from to get to you. As it stands, Premonition just feels like a perk that isn’t needed.

But you could be looking at them whilst they’re walking away from you. When Premonition lights up, all it tells you is the direction the killer is in. Not whether you should think about leaving or not. Spine Chill let’s you know for certain that they’re heading straight towards your direction.

I've submitted my rework for Premonition.
It's a 6% increase to all actions when it's on the 45 second cooldown.

If the killer isn't actively chasing someone and they're approaching you it's a pretty safe bet they're coming for you. Spine Chill is useless in that regard because, as mentioned, it can easily be countered and doesn't provide any useful information other than "Killer is nearby". Terror Radius does that too.

But unless they’re the obsession, it’s not always easy to tell if somebody is being chased. Also with Spine Chill, it’s the fact it completely counters stealth killers. Ghostface and Wraith etc will never be able to gen grab you because you’ll know exactly when they’re heading towards you. Unless they moonwalk, which very few killers do.
I suppose it’s each to their own. I just personally don’t think Premonition has anything useful going for it. Which is why so many lobbies are now full of players using Spine Chill. It’s the fact it has no cool down that makes it so viable as you constantly know if the killer is still coming after you during a chase. As you can sometimes still hear the terror radius but you don’t realise they’ve actually gone off into a different direction.
Also to add, all the terror radius does is let you know the killer is in your area. That means nothing. Whereas Spine Chill will also let you know if the killer is looking at you and if it stays continuously lit up, it’s obvious they’re coming at you. It’s honestly just a God tier perk. I hate not using it now.

It depends on the perks you're using. My build lets me know where the killer is most of the time.
As Spine Chill becomes more prevalent, you'll see an increase in moonwalking.
To each their own, yes. I don't use either perk, just for the record, but they have different uses for different playstyles.

Interesting, very interesting. Would that also work for vaulting?

I will admit that having premonition on a cool down is kind of odd considering that spine chill has no cool down, and it has additional perks like increase repair speed and increase speed when opening the exits. The only caveat is that killer has to be looking in your general direction. Granted killers can counter spine chill pretty easily if they want to, but it does lead to a rather annoying play style (approaching generators while moonwalking, etc).

Yeah, it's like a 45 second Spine Chill only if the killer is around.

Ok, I'd 100% abuse that with Spine chill and Resilience. 😂😂😂
Maybe it shouldn't stack with Spine chill? (Only Spine chill though)

Increasing interaction speeds should be fine, but not anything that has to do with movement, given the game's delicate balance. Your idea is also very prone to abuse by simply triggering Premonition on purpose.

That's 3 Perk slots for a 21% Vault Speed increase. I mean, it's already high risk if you want to pair it with Resilience since you have to remain injured for the 9%.
Less people on gens, more people trying to get the killer's attention for a 6% increase doesn't sound bad to me.

Since it's in the basic survivor pool they were probably just trying to fill out some perk slots. Using it with Spinechill to avoid the killer completely would be interesting though.

I'd still say it's broken though as a three way combo.

Hey, that would mean, maybe no
- Sprint Burst
- Selfish Care
- DS
- Dead Hard
- Lithe
etc. I'm okay with that. =]

I would literally just stick in a Lithe and abuse it, especially when injured. That would easily break the game. Resilience and Spine chill are already considered borderline OP as a combo.

Pitch this idea who the killers who complain about DS and they'll Love it.

Lol, that'd be funny. Then you give it a few months and they'll cry for nerfs (although in this case, I can understand why, unlike the case with DS).
