Old Predator vs New Predator

Hello.

I was looking at the perks and tried to find some good builds for my killers. I wasn't sure how exactly Predator works now. I checked the perk description and it made me sad. I know this perk was changed. Spawning scratch marks closer is fine, I guess. But why did devs delete the ability to make scratch marks longer visible? That doesn't make any sense to me. It would be a very solid tracking perk if they did not do that. And also I have nothing to counter against Lightweight.

Thank you very much.

The old version was very unpopular since it made scratch marks linger longer, which is usually regarded as a bad thing. It's great for finding people, but really hurts you in a chase since it'll be covered up by the old scratch marks. To put it simply, longer duration = easier to see from a distance, but harder to pinpoint their exact location. Shorter duration = harder to see from a distance, but easier to pinpoint their exact location.

The new predator narrows the scratch marks, which practically draws a line leading right to the survivor.

Has the team thought about making Predator increase walking/running footstep sounds? Lightweight inversely decreasing walking/running footstep sounds?

Neither perk is used much if it all and that would make people consider them a lot more.

Yes, that make sense. Now I know why did they change it. But still the perk is not very popular. I heard people saying that Predator is the worst killer perk in the game or one of the worst perks and I kinda agree.
