Why this game will lose players
I'm quitting the game. This game has so much potencial but there are so many bugs and game features that made me quit.
Why I'm quitting:
- Key/Mori- this feature defeats the whole puropose of playing the game properly. I was just in a game.. everyone on last hook and 3 people left alive and 1 gen left. But they 3 gened themselves. There was noone on gens for like 2 minutes so I start to roam around and surprise... they all escape with a key and I DC. Now I never DC but I was so fed up with this bs. And then I have to watch the chat toxic, bad, get good. As for moris, I'm killer main and I never use them accept when I need the daily. It's such a toxic feature. You think people that use red moris and get a 4k care about bloodpoints or derank penalty?
- Dead hard- this is the sole reason why I hate playing survivor. I dead hard to juke the killer and I see the exhaustion come up but I still get down. I cannot describe how furious that makes me. FIX DEAD HARD
- Windows- every time I vault the window when in a chase I somehow get pulled back and get hit even with resiliance and spine chill. Can't even loop properly.. nice!
- Toxic people- wow. Love the community. I love the games where everyones like gg. But that is just so rare. People talk so much *curse* and are so toxic that it's unbearable.
- Settings update- since the game was updated I can't tweak my video settings anymore and now I play the game on 800x600 and it looks curse terrible. Before when I could do sth with anti aliasing it looked somewhat decent. Now I play on 40 fps with such dips which should not occur because I have 8GB of RAM.
- Crossplay- I play this game alone on PC while all of my friends play on PS4. Who gives a curse about new killers. I think most people would want a stable game without bugs and with friends to play with on other platforms rather than a new killer that is going to bring 50 new bugs to the game.
I love this game.. I really do. But it got to me and I can't bear this anymore.

Window Vaults-->Got fixed. No lagging back anymore.
Settings Update-->From what I have read, you are able to turn off AA again.
Crossplay-->Was announced in the Anniversary Stream, will come.

If you're burned out on the game, a break is a healthy thing. I didn't play from the month after Pig came out until shortly before Oni, and then took another break shortly before Deathslinger came out, and both of them proved to be a much needed break. I'm able to enjoy the game much more when I'm not tilting after a single frustrating game. If you're finding yourself completely upset if a single game goes poorly, I can't stress how helpful a break can be.

For what it's worth, Dead Hard and Vaulting are latency issues which the devs have confirmed on multiple occasions that they are working on fixes for. The community, unfortunately, isn't really something that's within their control, but you can definitely play the game without having to engage with other players just by turning off the chat. Both additional graphical options and crossplay have also been confirmed to be coming within the next year, along with a complete graphical overhaul that will significantly improve the game's atmosphere and visuals.

Vaults obviously not fixed because I can confirm it is still a thing.
Maybe you are able to do it but in game files but not everyone will know that.

I have not many problems with Vaults. Sure, I still get hit through Windows, but it looks way more fair than before.
AA was never actually able to be disabled in the game itself. However, they also announced that there will be a major graphic update in the future, I guess (and this is only a guess) that this will come with advanced graphical options. At least they know what players are asking for.

I would agree with several issues you mentioned.
Actual bugs and shortcomings in the game due to servers, etc. and behavior that sucks the fun out seems all-time-high. I took a month+ long break from the game not too long ago and now play It considerably less than I used to, as do most of my friends who used to main this game. I used to stream and this was my main game, but since it's devolved I havent resumed streaming because I can typically only play 3-4 games at a time before it becomes too frustrating. Not enough time to really justify a stream and not really a good vibe for stream anyway.
Outside of DLC content, I don't buy anything anymore...and recently I haven't even done that. I acquire my DLC characters through shards. No cosmetic purchases and no tome purchases.
I love DBD. The game is beautifully designed. I love the concept. I think the game can be extremely fun when everyone plays well and stays positive, which is what keeps me playing. But I would be lying if I said these issues haven't effected my desire to reach for this game as often as I used to. And I have the same fear that continued trending in this direction will eventually render this a dead game.

None of those solutions address the real problem. Toxic People. There are people, a LOT of people, that play this game to take a dump on other people in order to make themselves feel better about their lives. It's the biggest problem this game has.
"Mouse is way better than controller"
That's PC elitism. You've probably never used a controller. I play on PC and Console both and I use a controller on both bc the mouse doesn't give any real advantage in this game. I know, you're going to say 'The Huntress!! The Nurse!!' I play them both just fine with a controller. This game is about accuracy, not speed and even if it was about speed, if controllers can keep up with KB&M on Fortnite, then they can keep up on this game.
