Let's argue: most wanted chapters. It can be original or licensed.
Welcoming all hot takes, unpopular opinions and tough questions. What chapter do you want to see most in dbd? I want to see the dark tower in the game with Roland as the survivor and the crimson king as the killer. Maybe since BHVR is unpredictable, we can get a book license.

Here's a little something I had prepared for a post just like this...
6 -
I want to see a hotline miami chapter or a chapter with a world war soldier killer
0 -
Alien, of course.
7 -
Candyman.
0 -
Alien
It would be arguably the biggest franchise BHVR have gotten.
3 -
I would love a original killer from the medieval/ renaissance era! Basically some kind of undead knight or along those lines. A dark knight or crusader along with a cool renaissance castle fort map.
3 -
Night of the Creeps!
Chopping Mall!
Toxic Avenger!
3 -
How did I not think of this?

A soldier killer actually sounds pretty good, but idk what the power would be since we have the gunslinger.
0 -
A viking rider and a drowned pirate killers...
0 -
Those are very well designed, I am not much of a candyman fan but it would be interesting, same with alien.
1 -
oo you said unpopular opinions? my killer wishlist to compensate for dbd's male majority:
- medusa
- la llorona
- kuchisake-onna
- sadako from the ring
- kayako from the grudge
- the vampire that predates dracula, carmilla
3 -
Those both sound very cool, now even I want those.
0 -
I haven't seen night of the creeps, but I will look into it!
0 -
I was thinking about a soldier with a broken rifle, so he uses his bayonet to attack
Primary power is a bayonet charge
Secondary power he can throw grenades with an explosion radius of 4 meters.
0 -
Tbh Pyramid Head was my most wanted, but... An expansion on the old Ghost Face one would be sweet. Brenda Meeks from Not Another Scary Movie please.
0 -
I would love La Llorona and kuchisake onna in the game as well. Those are some of my favourite urban legends.
3 -
Licensed: An Outlast Chapter with Chris Walker as the killer and Miles as the survivor
Unlicensed: A killer that can climb up walls, but balanced at the same time
0 -
Oh man, you're in for a treat. It's one of the greatest cheesy cult classic horror movies ever made.
0 -
Dream license: Valak the Nun (I would've said pennywise but he's already a popular opinion)
My dream original: A scarecrow killer and a male survivor considering we haven't had a male survivor since the Stranger Things chapter.

i take candyman, i want a scream chapter i know ghostface is in the game but i'll say this till i die ghostface mask wouldn't be as popular with out the scream franchise with the adding of legendary skins they could add sidney prescott with a map sure people would buy it have legendary skins of gale weathers and dewey riley.
MAKE IT HAPPEN DEV PLZ!

I think there's a difference between "most wanted" and an objectively "most popular / beneficial" chapter.
In terms of most wanted there's still the big three:
Pennywise, Pinhead, and Candyman. All of them fairly big in terms of film history, all of these have either: been a popular community request for years and years since 2016 - so a long time, we know the devs themselves really want them, or have some kind of modern resurgence of relevance in pop culture due to recent or future movies. All of these have been speculated as real possibilities in previous chapters, or have been teased or hinted at previously with a certain amount of evidence to back up their potential inclusion.
Objectively:
Jason. This is the ultimate horror license that would be the final infinity stone to complete the gauntlet of famous slasher villains: Michael Myers, Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, and finally Jason Voorhees. With all the buzz about chapter 16 before we knew who it was, Jason became a more likely candidate than ever before when people realized all the devs have to do is not mention anything from the original movie. Nothing about Camp Crystal Lake, a boy who drowned, a mother gone crazy, etc. and we skirt all that BS in the lawsuit. With F13 basically dead, it would be absolutely massive to get a hold of this license and see not only F13 players come to Dead By Daylight, but also tap into the humongous F13 fanbase out there.
Underdogs:
The Xenomorph, The Predator, and Chucky. These characters aren't on the level of any of the aforementioned characters simply because we've never seen much if any evidence for their appearance. However they are all popular and famous characters in their own right that DBD would benefit from greatly if included.
Dark Horses:
The Miner (My Bloody Valentine), Dr. Trager / Chris Walker, (Outlast), The Keeper (Evil Within),
Fnaf animatronics, Slenderman,Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the lambs), Jack Torrence (The Shining), Norman Bates (Psycho), Count Orlok (Nosferatu), etc. Basically anybody that isn't in the other lists is in this one. These are characters not everybody is particularly rooting for, some are more popular or fitting than others because it's such a large category, but hey they're there. It's "possible" in a very broad sense, but for many of them probably only a lot later on down the line if at all.3 -
Valak needs to be in the game soon, as she is genuinely scary in appearance. A scarecrow killer with a scythe as a weapon would be my main to be honest.
1 -
It is a possibility, if they got the classic original outfit for Ghost Face, I don't see why they can't get the licensing of Neve Campbell and the production of Scream to get the rights for Sidney. They could add her as a paragraph.
Never say never 😉
2 -
Still gonna go with Alan Wake.
Killer could be, idk, just a big darkness dude?
3 -
i want her in the game so bad too.
and a map we need a woodsboro map.
1 -
In my opinion, the dark horses are hte best ones, imagine nosferatu in the game, with a castle map.
0 -
Not sure about a scream map, the scream setting is very similar to haddonfield.
0 -
Not sure how that could be implemented into the game, but BHVR is unpredictable.
0 -
not really be more like coldwind farm/red forest or could be the high school remember woodsboro in the middle of no where alot of farm and tree.
0 -
A few of the dark horses are interesting imo, I'm actually really on board with the Miner and the Keeper, and anything from Outlast. Nosferatu is also a very interesting pick but who knows how that would work considering how old the character is, the original film is from 1922 almost a hundred years ago, who even owns that license??
On a personal level my top picks would be Candyman and the Xenomorph. But honestly anybody from the first three categories would be super cool.
0 -
Licenced i would love Chucky, i know he would be difficult to implent in the game but god i would instantly buy him. I'd even take the remake version
Unlicenced a spider/bug human hybrid. Can you imagine a woman with spider legs on her back which she can use to scale walls
1 -
my post get deleted? when i said i wanted her in so bad and a scream map i edited it to say woodsboro map now it gone but someone quoted it but it gone.

A chapter with FNAF ,The Killer would probably springtrap & thee would probably be no survivor.Map FN3 Pizzaria
1 -
Well if you've seen Alan Wake's gameplay, it's almost a copy-paste.

A WW1 / WW2 or a soldier is actually something I was thinking of awhile ago myself. Although personally I think a Civil War soldier wielding a Sabre would be just as cool, I mean the Deathslinger does kind of fill that role of a killer with a bayonet for a weapon.
Other original killer concepts:
Fire themed chapter - Firefighter killer and / or Pyromaniac
Water themed chapter - Deep sea diver in an old timey diving suit a la Big Daddy from Bioshock, killer fisherman, killer pirate or navy officer
Cursed theme chapter - Killer Scarecrow come to life or possessed by a human, Witch-Doctor / Voodoo-Doctor, Aztec / mayan shaman,
Vintage Chapter - WW1 / WW2 / Civil War soldier, French Nobleman with a Rapier

A Fnaf Chapter based on the novel series as making it based on the games wouldn't fit DbD.
2 -
The novel series isn't that much different. The only thing it could really offer over the games is a solid survivor option.
0 -
I haven't seen many ask for this one, so here. I really want to see The Strangers added. Maybe even just as legendary skins. Their survivor counterpart(s) could be the brother and sister from "The Strangers: Prey At Night"
Couldn't find a pic from the film, but these two could be the survivor counterparts.
Then, for the realm, it could the trailer park the movie took place in, and it could maybe have two different parts to it.
One being the pool/check-in area with a few trailers:
Maybe make the pool drained/unable to access, though.
Then the other, (I won't attach any more images, I swear) would be just trailers and then the park where Kinsey hides from the killer(s).
2 -
yes carrie please, I want it so bad
2 -
Like you said, it has good survivor options, unlike the games that only have bland nightguards. Also it has potential maps, like a mall map for example, a shiny pizzaria for kids wouldn't really fit DbD, at least imo, And a killer/murderer that they could have more freedom in to make his design fit into DbD even more, unlike the games counterpart which has a set design for him.
The novel series is just a much better option, the story/lore is clear, and, like said above, better survivor and map options.
Overall people just don't look beyond the flashy, colorful animatronics. Springtrap would fit in just fine, he's a killer/murderer, would fit aesthetically in and him being dead in that suit wouldn't really be a problem either since we have Spirit for example. And let's be honest, the 'cringe children', others take as the reason to not have a fnaf chapter, the community has isn't problematic, you wouldn't notice them, same could have been said about the ST Chapter.

A fellow Stephen King fan. My dream chapters are actually Salems lot, the stand and the dark tower.
