Head On is broken ๐Ÿ˜”

I was doing a good old locker build when a meg was downed infront of it. The trapper went to pick her up, inches from the locker. I jumped out when his animation stopped and nothing happened.

He kinda just looked at me. I donโ€™t think he was angry, just disappointed. Is it cause jane is so thicc and nancy is an actual twig?

I mean he just kinda nodded at me and felt my pain. And meg was just in shock of how it had all gone badly.

Or am i just b a d?

I would have to see footage of the head on. Maybe it was just weird timing with the pick up but it also could have just been a hitch.

    Congratulation! You got dedicated.

Lots of potential explanations as to why it failed. You did it too early, dedicated servers, or who knows what else.

Most likely explanation is that you jumped out too early. Just like with pallets or flashlights, the killer has to have completed the pick up animation and be able to move before a stun will release the survivor. Other likely culprit is dedicated servers.

I sympathize. On the other end of the spectrum I've had Head On hit me from absurd angles. Behind the locker? Stunned.

Ok so something else i forgot to add i got exhausted. Like thatโ€™s like dead hard right now. And for all of you asking he had started moving and was inches away from the locker. Was he too close? That sounds like a bug that could be in the game.

Or it could be nancy being a twig .

Well itโ€™s still a good meme so iโ€™ll still use it ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

When you get exhausted then head on worked and you should get a stun/save.

Sounds like latency again causes this things to happen it may look like you had the right timing but for the game you messed it up (hope this makes sense)

Another thing that can cause this is simply a bug. It happened to me with flashlights i blinded the killer while he carried a survivor (not during pick up) got the blind but not the save.

Did you apply it directly to the forehead?

In all seriousness, maybe you did it just a little bit too soon. I experienced something similar with a flashlight, where I was pretty sure I'd be blinded, but the survivor did it a fraction of a second too early, so I was still locked in the pick-up animation.

If you got exhausted than it means you did it too early.

Probably just came out too early. Though had it worked, that would have been a great example of the power of head on: 2 people getting the same benefit of 1 exhaustion perk. It's why I insist on attempting to run it.

What likely happened was you mistimed it. Head on stuns seem to be server sided, and on top of that you have to wait for the killer to be able to move when attempting any form of stun save, rather that waiting for the animation to finish. But, that's just from what you wrote. It could be that you timed it perfectly and the perk just didn't work for some reason, dbd is a buggy game.
