Data from 250 Red Rank Games on PS4.
**Background**
If the format of this post looks strange it's because I formatted it for reddit.
This is data from 250 PS4 games from the past 2 months. Typically we play with a 3 person SWF. Two players are rank 1 level. Another is also rank 1 but prior to the past couple of months their highest was rank 4. The other might have got past 10 once.
We don't play ultra sweaty. We will try to save each other whatever the cost and we risk ourselves for randoms quite a bit. I've probably used Borrowed Time in at least 220 of these games and the other two I commonly play with likely have around 150-200 each.
**Who we Faced and How we Did**
Killer | Times Faced | Avg Survivors Escape
---|---|----
Spirit | 24 | 2.5
Huntress | 24 | 2.7
Legion | 24 | 1.8
Ghostface | 19 | 3.1
Freddie | 19 | 1.7
Doctor | 17 | 1.8
Hillbilly | 17 | 2.2
Oni | 15 | 1.9
Deathslinger | 12 | 2.5
Michael | 12 | 2.1
Leatherface | 11 | 1.5
Trapper | 9 | 2.3
Wraith | 8 | 2.3
Nurse | 6 | 3
Hag | 7 | 2.1
Pig | 7 | 2.4
Demogorgan | 5 | 3
Plague | 5 | 2.4
Clown | 5 | 2.8
**Overall** | 250 | 2.36
**Breakdown**
We do very well against Ghostface. 3.1 survivors escape per game. I've escaped 18 out of those 19 games. I do enjoy facing him. I play him a lot as killer on PC and do fairly well at red ranks so I didn't expect him to be that bad but I do accept he's a bit weak.
Some of the other high ones, Huntress 2.7 and Spirit 2.5.
Huntress does a lot better against me. 12 escapes, 12 deaths. She's broken right now with hatchets hitting when they clearly missed. I've played her on console and she's not nearly as good as on PC. When they fix hitboxes, she's be 'nerfed' sort of.
Spirit I can understand. A lot of bad players get to high ranks by playing Spirit. She's by far the easiest killer on console. and she's equally strong on PC.
**Leatherface**
Well. I didn't know we did that bad against him. One of hour SWF really hates facing him. The escape rates for our randoms here are atrocious so maybe that's dragged us down a fair bit.
We have also faced a few facecampers which manage to get a few of us.
**Overall**
2.36 escapes per game for a 3 man SWF. That sounds fair to me. We work together well and a couple of us would consider ourselves fairly good at looping.
Last time BHVR posted data on escapes per game (https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/ac45ch/survivors_escape_less_than_half_the_time_how_does) it showed that on average just less than 2 survivors escaped per game. Since then Ruin has been nerfed and DS was changed to actually prevent tunneling.
I think our escape rate shows that SWF is helpful but not some instant win like some people claim. People need to understand that most people are playing with their friends for fun. Not every team is a 4 man with all meta perks min maxing like this is some ultra competitive game.

Obviously Ghostface needs a buff. He doesn't have the perfect 2 survivors escaping on average. Dev c'mon

Thank you for your data. It is very interesting!

He's so fun to play. His stealth is a lot more accessible than the Pig.
Going from 20 to 10 I played him the majority of the time. From 10-1 he just couldn't keep up.

I mostly play killer. I picked GF as my main the day I bought the game and got so used to his play style that I have trouble trying new killers. I think if you play GF as a hit and run killer and are a general bother to everyone I think it's a bit hard to counter. He's also just straight up the best stealth killer in the game. He can run full speed with no terror radius or stain and his model is mostly dark. A mix of information perks and regression or general slow down perks make him amazing. I'm rank 7 atm and don't really have issues and didn't when I was higher rank. I took a long break and rank reset kicked me down a bit.

his M2 must be the thing ######### us over.

It's a little troublesome that you perform significantly better than 2k on average playing not tryhard, but also overly altruistic. I would imagine that a reasonably casual ("we don't play ultra sweaty") but high risk ("we will try to save each other no matter the cost") approach should generally land you somewhere under 2k as an average. And it's typically just a 3-man.
In other words - what happens to that average when a 4 man swf takes it seriously and doesn't make extra risky plays?

Bubba getting the most kills? I wonder why?
I'm also impressed Doc does so well, his rework really did a number for him.

PC and console are different animals fyi.

What rank were the killers?
0 -
Almost always Red Ranks. There were probably about 20 games with lower ranked killers. 12 being the lowest.

Two of us are very good players. I'm a rank 1 survivor and killer on PC and Console. The other is probably a better looper than me.
SWF with good players and good communication is obviously going to lead to a higher than average escape ratio. I think 2.36 is a very reasonable number.
It's also worth noting survivors on console have it easier because console killers have to deal with framerate issues while this isn't a common issue on the survivor side.

I was bored, so I put this data in a spreadsheet to do my own statistical analysis, and the average comes up as 2,32.
Also, I think the Nurse has a typo. You have every other killer organized by how many times you faced them, but the Nurse is a 6 between an 8 and a 7.
EDIT: The sum also comes up as 246, not 250.

I'm not saying you're bad by any means. I just wish there was a mechanism in place to limit the advantage. Ideally, if the game was fair you'd average a 2k flat, and less than that given the info about playstyle (non-optimized, but high risk).

Thanks for the interesting data!

I was about to ask how the hell can 2.5 survivors escape but then it hit me.
-_-

I think at this point some people just like to use swf as an easy excuse as to why they lost a match. Swf definitely has it's advantages over solo survivors, but I don't think it's as bad as some people make it out to be.
It's interesting that Legion and Leatherface were some of the best in your matches, since they are generally considered to be some of the weakest killers. Dr. and freddy doing well makes more sense.

Finally stats that prove Bubba is a Beast. This is a very good moment so thank you.

I cut out a few games where the killer DC'd early. I knew it would mess with the results a tiny bit

SWF should give an advantage. Every other game is the same, good communication and planning gives an advantage.
As long as the devs know this and are considering it for balance, I think it's fine.
A flat 2k is a good point to aim for balance wise but good players playing with good players are going to do better than that. The game shouldn't force everyone towards the flat 2k.
