Why is NOED still a perk?

Survivor playing well and the killer does not. He don't get a hook until all gens are done and then... NOED kicks in and the killer gets a 4k.

You know the situation right?

Hex: No One Escapes Death is a perk, thats rewards you for beeing bad at the game and this should not be possible in any way. Don't you think it's time to rework this perk completely (not saying nerf the ######### out of it, you know the developers 😉), because it's just gamebreaking and destroys the fun of many people. But it's by far not the only perk thats completely broken, but by far one of the most annoying.

Developers say that they're proud of the direction DBD is developing at the moment and personally think you should not be proud in any way. Pumping out content and leaving all the annoying bugs and meta perks behind is a complete stupid way to lose old players, that enjoyed DBD for a long time.

I know that I possibly get an answer like:"We're sorry that you had a negative experience with DBD" but I don't ######### care.

The only thing I ask for is, that you fix all the perks in game. Stop Meta Perks.

pls.

I just run Inner Strength and Detective's Hunch so then I can poke some fun at N OMEGALUL ED gamers.

I've got to hope that my teammates aren't potatoes though and we actually get to finish the gens.

You can disable it by cleansing the totems. It encourages you to do those dull totems. You even get points for them. Do totems when you see them and gens and you should be good to go :D

What NuclearBurrito said is sound advice tbh. Noed is basically the end to altruistic actions at that point, and if you do them, be (even more) prepared to not leave alive. It's a bit sucky but the reality is if you turn back at that point, you shouldn't really complain about Noed.

If I was going to rework it, I'd say limit it to x number of downs or being exposed for x amount of time, buuut you'd have to balance that by making it not a hex perk, so at that point...you're making it either more difficult to counter, or encouraging people to just hide in the map somewhere.

It used to be time based and was worse (for the game).

If Survivors were playing well, how did the Killer end up with a 4k? Killers don't suddenly increase in skill because of NOED. If you're that naive to not do bones, or for all 4 of you to run straight into his attack, that's on you.

Even a good survivor might have trouble with a killer that suddenly moves slightly faster than Bloodlust 1, and can still build up said Bloodlust. The exposed status is fine, it's the movement speed boost that's actually the biggest issue with the perk (other than bad killers relying on it to get pity kills, but we can't really change that unless the perk just gets completely overhauled)

So I'm in the high ranks on PC, seeing Killers running NOED is few and far between. The ones that do run it based on an end-game build (I'll run a build like that too sometimes). Even when rank resets and I play with the lower levels, NOED isn't a big deal. Because when a bad Killer uses it, 9 times out of 10, they're going to camp that hooked Survivor. You got 2 options, escape with whoever is left (Avoid the 4k), or go find the totem, destroy it, and do a save. It's not complicated, especially when the Survivor is good or the team is coordinated.

Endgame builds might be a result of the archives having a challenge to hook four survivors during EGC. I don't actually mind NOED when the killer is dedicating his perk slots to a full endgame build, because it's actually part of the bigger strategy, rather than "i'm just gonna run game stall perks but still equip noed because i'm insecure" type of thing.

It is a fully counterable perk though, that is true.

Hex:NOED is still a perk, because Decisive Strike is also still a perk.

They both reward mistakes and bad gameplay. And it appears the developers are fine with this.

Adrenaline does not belong on that list.

A perk that activates in response to completing a major chunk of your primary objective is as far as it gets from rewarding you for being bad.

Also dead hard. It triggers on demand, so it's rewarding reflex.

DS sure, Unbreakable debatable because you are still worse off compared to if you weren't slugged.
