Burnout happens, if you aren't enjoying the game you should take a break. It's healthy for you, trust me you'll probably come back to the game after a moderate break from it.

I got really burnt out on the game right before Oni came out, and I stepped away for about six months. I came back and am really enjoying it again now, but I'm sure at some point I will want to take another break. I don't think this is a bad thing.

If you're not enjoying it right now, there are lots of other games to play, and DBD will still be here later.

Yeah, kind of. My two friends have burnt out on DbD, so if I end up playing survivor, I'm solo queueing. Depending on the day it's just a bunch of deathslingers, spirits and freddies so it's not a really enjoyable experience, especially if the survivors also happen to be potatoes (which isn't that rare either).

I don't really play killer much either, unless I REALLY feel like doing that.

I've also completed all the archive challenges available, so I just kinda feel like I don't have a purpose in the games. I might just start memeing as killers, relax the atmosphere for the survivors a bit and all that.

I don't at the moment but I did take a break here and there. The longest was 3 months and the shortest a week. It's natural to be bored of any game. I just played a different game for a while. I love this game a lot but i get bored too. When i do i just play different games.

The uneven matchmaking is enough to put anyone off, but the amount of grinding is certainly making me weary. I'm a new player and I've been playing this game for a few months now, but for new players like myself that are jumping into a four-year-old game, it's kind of a bummer that we don't have a leg up when it comes to accruing bloodpoints to unlock more perks. I only have a few hours a day to play this game and I would love nothing more than to have more perks unlocked from more killers and survivors, but I know that's never going to happen as I just don't have the time that's necessary to get everything that I want.

What's really sad though is that this is easily rectified if bhvr would just incorporate more experience boosts or blood hunts more often. But I'm certainly eager to see what the new matchmaking system brings, because right now the uneven matchmaking and the massive grind is ensuring that I won't be playing much longer.

I took a month break and I only came back because of Silent Hill. It's worth the break.

I usually take breaks when it’s not my day in some matches.I usually just go to my favorite YouTube user or listen to music.

When I get bored I just switch up my playstyle. Like play Bunny Feng who collects all the eggs (totem) from the map and leaves presents (opens all chests and leave each item, including the ones she brings in,) by each survivor when they are working on gens.

After all that she works on gens..but will help unhook.at anytime.

My Zarina is focused on doing gens and not being distracted by anything else...even teammates, lol. That's Just how she rolls.

Just playing characters differently from what is normal for me.

I am currently going through a burnout / I'm waiting for better matchmaking phase. I'm even going through a forums burn out rn. I'm really waiting for something new honestly. :/

I took a 3 month break from the game. Came back, played about 3 matches and wanted to leave for another month.

People talk about burnout. But the game just isn't enjoyable anymore. I can't stand to play more than a handful of matches in a day or even week.

Im still bored of DBD tbh. It gets repetitive really fast. One game I die on first hook because of a facecapmp. Other games no one does gen's. Killer is just as worse survivor just rush gens even when I down someone fairly quickly. And with all these second chance perks I just don't really play DBD as much as i used too. Pyramid head looks cool might play some more when that releases but until then Im good.

I was pretty burnt out on the game up to Deathslingers release. I forced myself to keep playing though, because I wanted bloodpoints and when some of my friends asked me to play with them. I did not enjoy the game, I got mad at every small thing, realised I said "I hate going against this killer because..." about every killer. Deathslinger got released and I hated going against him, he reminded me a bit too much of oldschool Legion, where I had to rely on him to screw up and I could do very little to counterplay his power.

I just stopped playing, I explored other games like AC and ended up playing that until a couple days ago (a little over 2 months break), where I began playing DbD again because I paid for the rift and I didn't want to let those money go to waste. I have really been enjoying the game again and probably played for a combined 20 hours these last 3 days. I have become more forgiving when teammates make dumb decisions, I only hate going against Freddy, Spirit, Deathslinger and somewhat Huntress(because hatchet hitboxes being bad), but I am still mostly enjoying the game again.

So yeah, if you're bored go explore new games and come back to DbD when you're feeling like it.

I've just been annoyed by it recently. Idk if the map generation is just terrible for me but it seems like I'm in a losing situation way more often. Today I played on Blood Lodge as Ghostface, so already with how open Blood Lodge is its hard to effectively use my power, then there were 3 pallets and a jungle gym surrounding the god bus, and this was the normal set ups for most of my matches today and yesterday. It's either that or somebody DC's because I have a good start. I don't mind the toxic players but it just seems like I'm genuinely unable to do much in my matches. I hope it improves soon as I've had this happen before but it really makes me feel like I'm just wasting my time trying to play rn.

For me it's not just burn out, but the game is starting feel dry as the Sahara Desert!

Do you play any other games on the side? Some nights I don't feel like dbd, so I'll play something else. I have tons of back logged games to help fight the burnout.
