Dear survivors...
Tunneling is when I intentionally focus someone. But if you unhook when I'm 10m away, and then I can't find which one dehook, but only the hooked.. Don't tell me I'm tunneling.
Camping is when I intentionally, for no reason, stay near the hook. But if I hook someone, and I see another one not far away, and I try to find him, I'm not a camper.
Oh and... Im not camping the gens when you 3gens yourselfs lol
Don't blame the killer for your mistakes.
Wait for unhook, stay hide before dehooking. And the one who dehooked have to protect the hooked.
And don't 3 gens yourselfs!

As a fellow Surv main, I can understand that.
I suck at being killer, but when I see someone I hooked get off it, then I go for the closest one I see.
But, if the person you find is in the injured state while it 'happens' to be that the one unhooking them wasn't, then it is possible that you may be categorized as a "tunneler".
Also regarding, camping. If you stay too close to an already hooked surv, then yeah it prob could be considered 'camping'. There's like what, 10+ hooks laying around the map and you happening to be next to one with a surv being unhooked is pretty darn slim assuming you were not intending to camp and was roaming around as you should.
Correct me if I'm wrong please. But survs could consider that 'camping' if you know what I mean...

And it is the problem, the survivors force me to camp sometimes, and I can't play like "ohohoh I saw a survivor near the hooked one, but let's pretend I didn't see him and let them do what they want, I'm a kind killa"
Edit : and I'm a survivor main too

Dear killers,
most survivors don’t really complain in these cases.. (many many survs even complain about those unsafe unhookers).
but of course there will always be some that will complain either way. Please don’t judge all survivors by those stupid few.
there are also killers like this (see gen rush complains, while gen rushing can be a problem most of the complaints are not valid)
edit: the killer can easily force a 3gen, i do that often as killer. its not always only survivors fault.

For me genrush don't exist, if you want to escape do the gens lol
0 -
Exactly, not for you. But there are MANY complaints still. Now, should I always say all killers complain about genrush?
0 -
As a killer, I don't really care about the gens, and the 4K. 2K is fine for me.
But yeah, killers complain about everything too. I don't understand killers want 4K so bad.
In this game we don't win or loose, we escape or die. And I think people complain because they want to win so bad.

Well it goes both ways tbh. There are killers who go after the unhooked person instead of me (the "unhooker"), even tho I was clearly visible (playing shirtless david most of the time). If you ask them about it, they say "its clearly the smartest move", which is true ofc. But sometimes I wish that people have some kind of empathy torwards other people. This game isnt competitive and the best games are those, in which both parties get their fair share of fun.
Idc about my kill or escape rate, as long as it was a fun match. Getting gen rushed or camped on the hook isnt fun for anyone.
Back in the old ruin days I got called a "totem camper", just bc they werent good enough to get gens done with ruin and it was in a good spot (played trapper and they had to disarm the trap first).

I'm a survivor main and when I unhook someone, I'm twerking to catch the killer attention 😂 often it works, killers hate it and I want my friends safe!
I can take a protection hit too, or do something idk but sometimes the unhookers are just hiding and don't help their friends
0 -
Nobody forces you to camp nor tunnel lol.
2 -
The problem is when killers do have empathy and try to play for fun, we get flamed in endgame chat anyway "GGEZ NOOB KILLER, Y U RUN RANCOR SUCH A CHEAP PERK NOOB BADDY KILLER" at some point the empathy kinda goes away as we just play how we want
1 -
Some survivors try to make a play by DH right after the unhooking so they don't get hit... happened when played killer... I ended up getting that survivor and let the survivor who got sandbagged get hatch

As killers we always have the CHOICE of targeting that player, and attitudes like yours are why survivors are running DS all over the place.
IF they so happen to run into you or you can't find anyone else, just slug them and either waste the team's time healing or them waste Unbreakable. It is not that hard. They also appreciate it way more.

This^
I mean how often are we going to see the same post?
Learn some new songs!
6 -
They do lol, when a survivor unhook on my watch, I should pretend I didn't saw what happened?
Come on, survivors are just bad and don't know the right timing. When I play survivor I have no problem..
0 -
Maybe I should do a thread about how BOTH sides are punished by bad plays from each other and tell everyone to stop being idiots.
2 -
The one who said I have a choice to tunnel or not? If they unhooked on my watch, and I can't find the unhooker, what should I do? Let's pretend I didn't see this injured Feng running?
0 -
Yep happens occasionally. I either ignore this stuff or at least one survivor tells him to stfu. Gave up discussing things with them, its just a waste of my time. Nothing is going to change their perspective and its not my "job" to do so.
The empathy thing is going both ways: killers who play fair and surv that aren't toxic. If you play toxic against me, then I wont show any mercy torwards that player (both sides).

SLUG THEM. Like I said in my first comment on here! The tactical slug is a useful tool that people get less pissed-off with, especially compared to camping or tunnelling.
Just don't do it when there's 2 people left. Survivors WILL wait out the bleed-out timer.
1 -
Sorry I'm French, by slug you mean down them and let them on the ground?
0 -
Yes, that is what slugging means in this game.
0 -
I see.. Sorry I don't like to do that, I think it's useless or I do it when I want to use a survivor as a bait
0 -
Im a survivor main but i do understand what your saying but it is still sometimes unfun
0 -
That is fine that you don't like it, but it really is a good way to apply pressure to prevent the generators from being completed. It works best with Oni and Hillbilly using infectious fright and knockout.
0 -
I'm a survivor main too! No way I'm unhooking near the killer, no way I'm hiding after unhook someone, I tried to catch the killer attention to save my friends.
I think the real problem is survivors mains don't play killer, and main killers don't play survivor. We have to test both side to really understand what I'm saying I think
I don't really care about gens and having 4k, so...
0 -
Sadly, I think this has been done before as well.
0 -
Personally I slug them In this case and move on. That's one reason I'm almost never hit by DS. It also wastes the slugs time. As well as the person who has to pick them up.
0 -
Personnaly I hate when the killer let me on the ground, so I don't do that when I'm the killer, but I see what mean.. To prevent DS, but the survivor can DS me it's not a problem for me
0 -
It's not just for that. I personally feel bad if they just came off the hook. I hate being tunneled as a survivor. So I try not to do it as killer. By slugging I avoid the DS if they have it. But more importantly to me I apply map pressure without burning their second hook. It just feels more sporting to me.
0 -
Dude you dont need to justify your playstyle. Who cares? its a videogame Never let survivors tell you how to play killer. Its ridiculous
2 -
I totally understand your point of view, but I think you have to understand mine too, for slugging is just let the survivors wins, because I down them but I don't hook them, so what's the point? Map pressure? Prevent DS? Being a kind killer? I'm a roliste, so when I play killer I have no mercy, I saw you, I chase you until the down, I don't care about gens and 4k, I just try to be evil, like the killers are. But I'm fair, I don't tunnel or camp intentionally, just if the survivors force me to
0 -
I don't justify, I'm just curious about the point of view of everyone ^^
0 -
Yep. "Slugging" is defined as leaving someone in the dying state.
Most people do it to force out the last survivor, rather than risking the hatch, but I tend to use it more when there's still 3 or 4 survivors to apply pressure or waste an Unbreakable.
It may be unfun to have happen to you, but there's more of a chance you can still play the game, rather than be removed because of a camper or tunneller.
