Can i be banned for this?
I was playing Piggy tonight to have fun, practice and do some archive perk challenges that i had the correct perks for, but i started getting bully squads of higher rank players and after a while got very upset/annoyed. I checked the hours of my next team to vs and they all had more time played it seemed, i decided to run mean perks like rancor and noed, save traps for late game, 3 gens were done in 3 minutes, and i saw the Dwight tbag and point at me. he was in a corner with the last 2 gens nearly done, so i trapped him for about a minute until rancor popped and insta killed him. i ended up killing all 4, but they said it was recorded and going to the devs for taking the game hostage, im quite worried i will be suspended and fail to complete the rift, as i've finished them all so far.
Was i supposed to fail to stop the almost completed last 2 gens and get 0 kills? or trap him for a min to hope for one? i wasnt trying to grief, i was just stressed out and felt bullied for playing a weak killer that i adore.

Being that there's no way to hold a game hostage anymore with EGC existing, no, you shouldn't be banned for it. That being said, regardless of what they did, it was still a dick move; and that's coming from me, a killer main.

Thank you, i felt bad about it, but they all last second swapped, tbagged, emote spammed and did 3 gens in 2-3 mins. I just needed to get one.

At the end of the day, if those kinds of things bother you to that kind of boiling point, maybe steer clear of killer. That''s everyday ######### for killer, lol

I think its just all of it built up over years of this kind of stuff. I;m just gonna meme build or play swf to have some "chill or fun" games, because soloq is also uhm... "random"

You shouldn't be banned for that I think, at least. Since you didn't really take the game hostage. You trapped dwight in a corner knowing that two gens would pop and you had your rancor. You took advantage of that. Scummy by some standards? Probably. But not bannable.

Lol no

If you bodyblock and hold him there BEFORE EGC starts, then yes, you risk getting sanctioned.
If you do it AFTER EGC starts, then it's ok.
This has been discussed a few times, recently.

I believe @Peanits said it was in fact bannable to block survivors in a corner before the EGC starts because the blocked survivor has no possibility to end the match. If SOLELY COMPLETE STRANGERS have the power to end the match within a time frame you (as the blocked survivor) don't even know (they could be derps that fail to find the remaining gens for years! Not really but you get the point) then it's certainly not in the grey zone.

Why does he?
The rest of the team are free to do gens so the game is not held hostage. It could be classed as unsportsmanlike behavior but so could pointing and tea bagging. If you're going to go out your way to try and upset the killer, don't get upset when you get the reaction you craved and get punished for it.

I feel like I'm spamming but if Peanits position is the official one, OP's action is bannable:

I'll give two extreme examples: Bodyblocking a survivor in a corner for 15 seconds for Borrowed Time to run out is okay. Bodyblocking a surv for 10 minutes isn't.
The devs haven't told us a precise amount of time when bodyblocking becomes bannable. I believe the people who handle the reports decide on a case-by-case basis.
The 60 seconds in your case feel like a grey area to me. I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see whether something is going to happen or not.

As long as the other survivors can continue doing gens and start end game, no you cannot hold this game hostage. If you manage to trap all 4\3\2\1 (all that are remaining), then yes its holding the game hostage.
Blows my mind that people think its holding the game hostage, if the game can continue! You did nothing banable at all. Infact, i would say it was a smart move. Trap 1, lure the rest...

I was just quoting what we had been told. I didn't even say it falls specifically under the holding-the-game-hostage label.
Concerning upsetting the killer, I don't disagree, but that point is immaterial to the discussion at hand. Tbagging and the like are not forbidden actions and explicitly so, just like it's perfectly allowed to tunnel and camp whoever you want for any reasons you want.
However, upsetting someone via allowed gameplay doesn't authorize them to commit a bannable offense in retaliation.

if it can end at some point (not by DCing) it's not game hostage

Nothing was bannable though.

Re-read the thread. What was bannable has already been brought up. I've got nothing else to add.

You won't be banned you're fine

Id say no cause op didnt keep the person there with gate and egc. Literally just to lock someone . Id argue its the same as bodyblocking for a survivor if you have borrowed time. Its annoying but if you act toxic then the killer has the perfect right to trap you to use a perk. Thats what rhis was, setting up for rancor kill

I've seen conflicting reports, but to my understanding as long as you're not holding them hostage (and he wasn't, cause he ultimately killed the survivor), it's not bannable.

They’re just being toxic. I really don’t think that’s you “holding the game hostage” if you win a game. I personally don’t like killer mains, but if a survivor gets upset for reacting on you actually getting them with something that’s not tunneling, camping, etc. then you’re in the right if anything.

Probably not. I had a whole SWF team yesterday saying they reported me for tunneling one of them, and that I was going to get banned for it. And one said he hope my mum is going to die from cancer. Yeah if anyone is going to get banned it's not me lol
