There isn't much you really can do, but losing LOS is something that can help a little bit.

Other than trying to lose LOS (which isn't even consistent because some maps have massive open spaces), you are at the mercy of the Nurse's skill.

Dead Hard is very useful against The Nurse :)

I'm no expert but as an okay nurse one thing that messes with me is the shack. If you loop around the outside I constantly have to guess.

Did they go around and keep running?

Are they sitting at the corner waiting to double back?

Did they go inside the shack?

Nurse has so many bugs right now not many people are playing her. Breaking los and looping tall objects is the way to go. Also corn. It's the nurses kryptonite.

Tbh you think about all the pain and misery they went through to get that good and you count yourself lucky for never having a survivor experience as ######### as the hundreds of hours they put into nurse

How do you feel about the big structures like the chapel? I feel like those buildings are always reliable for losing/looping nurses.

Im not going to pretend to be a good nurse, but apparently youre supposed to blink to the outside corner theyre on with your first blink then use second blink to catch up. Apparently thats the strat.

OhTofu has an awesome video about the Nurse. It's mostly a basic tutorial on how to play the Nurse, but it also has some tips on how to face her as a survivor. And overall, I feel that understanding how a killer works and how it's supposed to be played helps you a lot when you're on the survivors' end, too.

As a (former) Nurse main, running forward while breaking line of sight is the single best strategy versus the Nurse. And the best thing (for the survivor): Its completely braindead, and takes litterally zero skill to pull off.

Also Dead Hard is a godlike exhaustion perk versus her. With the upcoming hit detection changes it will become even stronger, since the Nurse can't even bait the Dead Hard anymore.

If it is a really good Nurse, you cannot win. Just accept that you cannot win every game and keep in mind that the majority of Nurse players is not on that Level.

You learn to juke and try to break line of sight.

Its almost like playing against Zoe(She can shoot a skill shot that she can manually redirect once mid flight) in league but infinitely less annoying.

Remember that Nurse has Nurse's Call as base and will most likely use it.

Try and go for assisted heals or use a med-kit to speed up healing times.

You also have to think like the killer: where is that survivor going, next turn/vault etc. And then do something different and get away.

Break line of sight and hope shes not a god.

Leave a gen the moment you hear a heartbeat. She's slow. So, either you're stealthy and she has to look around to find you, which wastes more time for her than any other killer. Or, you sprint away getting a good head-start. If the latter, she has to spend time to catch up first, making you unworthy to be chased. If she does, it's still a win.

When you're caught, find a long wall to break line of sight. However, always keep making distance, especially after she's blinked, if she's holding a blink, or if she's walking a lot. Use doubling back sparingly. Most good nurses expect that.

Generally, don't fast vault against her, unless it makes sense for specific situations, eg. you have lithe or Q&Q, you don't have any other route out, etc.

She can't locker grab between a blink and fatigue, although use it as a last resort.

    Lose LOS and genrush.

Think of it this way, coming up against a god nurse is like coming up against a god SWF team, so don't be surprised when you lose when you played good.

hide and hope she didnt see you.

in a chase there is quite literally nothing you can do.

you can try to mindgame her, but that usually doesnt help if its a really good player - and even if, you're buying yourself just a few seconds before you do end up getting hit.

    Distance+LOS will get you started.

Her blink can only travel in a straight line. It's not like Billy or Oni where they can correct course once they commit. An ok Nurse or a good Nurse will be fairly accurate on the first blink but overly reliant on short corrective 2nd blinks. This is why distance is so important. It gets exponentially harder to be accurate on 2nd blinks the further you have to go because you have a limited window to charge and aim the blink.

Jungle gyms and other structures are for LOS breaks, not for the pallets. You don't necessarily need to loop them conventionally.

Doubling back is fine, but you should double back while also moving away from her. You always want zig zag rather than path on straight lines. It's hard to describe, but imagine your scratch marks as you run and try to always be drawing a new line with them in your mind. You create more distance that way. Again, force her to blink onto a pinhole rather than a swimming pool for her 2nd blink.
