What perk(s) do you use thats extremly underrated
For survivor: alert and empathy. everyone uses bond or kindred while ignoring these two amazing perks :(
For killer: dark devotion, its amazing for sneaking up on survivors since no one excpects it

None.
Make Your Choice would be the closest to being extremely underrated, but i don't think it is.

Survivor: All the aura-reading perks that show you other players (survivors or the killer).
For killer: Not really sure. I see a lot of diverse builds even in red ranks.

I run a build I call crack doc that includes fired up. Its a fun build 😊

Blood echo is a massive middle finger to exhaustion perks, it has become an staple perk on my legion and I also sometimes run it on demo.
Dead Mans Switch can be lowkey better than pop if you use it at its full potential, I run it on billy and oni alongside nemesis and the amount of value I get out of it sometimes is ridiculous.
Gearhead is also pretty nice despite the nerf, even on tier I it can give you a lot of info despite being unreliable, its an staple perk whenever I play deathslinger or ghostface

BBQ & Chill
You probably read that wrong.

I see someone else has finally learn the true power of fire up, fire up meta is real. :P

Detrctives hunch, I love pairing it with inner strength and its so so satisfying preventing a noed. I'm also terrible at finding gens in indoor maps so I love it a lot for that too.
On killer bloodhound. I know as a veteran killer it may be a waste but as someone who's relatively knew to killer it's such a huge help to me so I can keep track of survivors in a chase, especially claudettes and in corn fields

On the survivor side my main perks are either not underrated that much or generally considered, on the contrary, really good.
As for the killer I actually like Mad Grit very much, especially combined with Iron Grasp and Agitation. Very fun and basically makes you killing machine even when you carry people on your shoulder. Also, Iron Maiden goes very well with the Huntress.

Surge, just because it's effect isn't as obvious as Pop people call it a bad perk. I'm using it consistently in red ranks and it's amazing.

Its also pretty good on doc and counters head on pretty well

open handed
the amount of info boost when paired with kindred or bond is worth the perk slot and your team benefits. Try it and thank me when you see the killer 24m away from the hook.
with swf and 4 open handed’s??? Half map bond and half map killer aura after a hook.
Fixated
with spine chill u can walk away to juke easily leaving no tracks. Immersion level 1000
Killer I’m usually meta or specific builds

Surge combos well with pop funny enough, now that they fixed that one bug. That and can combo nicely with surveillance for extra information.
I'm someone who suffers from corn blindness. Yeah being able to track things easier in the corn, is a blessing. For oh hey, i'm chasing someone. Where the heck are they? I have no idea.
Mad Grit is fun and i seen it screw over a team once, for they had no idea the killer had it. Leading to everyone being injured due to trying to bodyblock the hook, in return for no real gain.

For the chase one I guess for example I ahd a match earlier with 3 dark cosmetic claudettes in yamaoka estate and I found it so hard to keep track of them, I feel like a lot of that might just be because I'm not great at killer yet though haha

Yamaoka estate, if i recall correctly. Yeah that is rather dark map with many good hiding spots for survivors. Which yeah Claudettes can be ninjas at times. Like i was playing ghostface in one game. I was in the middle building and was going to stalk someone from afar. Someone broke me out of my power and i looked around. There was a random Claudette right next to me, i didn't notice was there before. Did not end well for that Claudette. Stab them, they fall down from the building, giving me enough time to recover from stabbing them the first time and easily catching up with them, to down them.

stake out and better together. im not good at getting great skill checks so i use stake out instead. and better together because im a toxic gen rusher or whatever

Autodidact and Dark Devotion (too).

We'll Make It, I don't know if it's underrated but I never see anyone running it. I feel that speeding up the healing process helps you A LOT to survive.
Also Prove Thyself, generators go nyoom.

I don't think anyone underestimates Alert or Empathy to be honest, or at least I don't. I used to run them together after the Alert buff. The information you get is incredible.
Also, for me, I don't really run underrated things, but I guess you could call Lithe underrated, I personally think it's the 2nd best exhaustion perk to SB. Maybe Autodidact too, I enjoy running that from time to time.

The thing I like best about survivor is I don't feel the need to use meta builds all the time. In fact, I've never ran a full meta build load out, because I don't have a character with every major meta perk yet. There's just so many combinations and it makes it quite fun, and I don't think it would largely impact my success rate to do so. The two not mentioned in this thread I like a lot though is Off the Record & Camaraderie. Both have saved my bum from campers / tunnelers quite a few times, though I've never ran them together.
On killer, I've just started leveling them so I'm not sure yet. So far though I feel like I have to run meta perks.

I have seen people use we'll make it every now and then. It is amazing when someone saves you off hook and they have that. Damn that healing is fast boy. Can get right back to working on a gen or something quickly, without spending alot of time healing up.
Prove thyself is not only nice for gen speed boost but how easy it is to get blood points from doing only a gen or two. Not just for you but your team mates as well.

Empathy. Whenever anyone is injured you know where not to be and if they aren't in a chase anymore, you can get an easy heal if you're injured yourself.

Detective's Hunch, Stake Out, Prove Thyself, and Better Together is an excellent gen-jockey combo. I run it on Tapp all the time and the information you get on totems is insane.

Furtive Chase or M&A, but combined with Beast of Prey.
Huntress peekaboo is whack a mole.

Windows of Opportunity

Blood Echo just did better than I expected.
