[Story thread] It's killers like this who give everyone a bad name
Stay tuned, there's another story thread coming about another Ghostface, though that one might take a while because I have something to do for a few hours.
I was up against a Ghostface in Dead Dawg Saloon, a map I've rarely played. I was a little annoyed because my build is literally just aura-reading perks, half of which are intended to show me the killer (plus Kindred, which also shows teammates), but ######### happens.
I reached the generator above the saloon, but I couldn't see very well around me if I was repairing it. Since I'm a cautious player, I decided to avoid repairing it unless I knew where he was. I saw him chase someone, so I started the repairs.
After a few seconds he downed the survivor he was chasing and hooked her right next to the saloon, so it was obvious which gen he was going to go for next. I waited until he was on the stairs and dropped down through a hole to unhook, then I ran away to attract him.
He came back to check the hook while Undetectable and didn't seem interested in my scratch marks, so I revealed him to try to take the heat off the survivor I'd unhooked. No such luck. Still, I could finish repairing that gen while he chased and re-hooked her.
Fast-forward a bit, I still hadn't been spotted by Ghostface, but my SWF teammate had and was Exposed. I revealed him during the chase again, but he didn't care (obviously), so I went to take a hit for him. Fortunately, I managed to bodyblock just long enough for the Exposed status effect to go away, yet he still didn't chase me. I went to get some healing and got back on gens.
Meanwhile, my SWF teammate was downed, hooked, camped, and hit on the hook repeatedly. This is where the killer starts to give others a bad name. There was no reason to hit my friend on the hook, he doesn't BM in any way. I kept working on gens while the others mounted a rescue. Much to my surprise, they succeeded, but the survivor who was on death hook was eventually caught and hooked once more.
We finish repairing all the gens and reach a gate as she's being sacrificed in the basement, but I screw up. I thought he would be coming to this gate, so I hid nearby and waited. Turns out he'd gone for the other one. I open the gate and go down just as it opens - NOED (another screw up, we didn't destroy the totems). Still, gate's open and the other two escape while I'm being hooked. He hits me on the hook repeatedly as I'm being sacrificed.
In the chat, I ask him why he hit me on the hook and he says "because u suck", or something along those lines. I tell him he only saw me twice - once when I took a hit for my friend and the second time at the gate - and that I hadn't BMd him in any way, but he doesn't respond. I don't know if he left at this point, but I said that he's the reason killers get a bad rep before leaving myself.
I still don't get what I did that was so offensive to him since he only saw me twice throughout the trial.

Honestly I wouldn’t worry too much about it. There are some killer mains who just get super cocky and arrogant but are super bad. It’s usually either that or they take their anger out on that round because of a bad round they previously had.

I'm not worried, I'm just a little annoyed for being BMd for no reason.

Oh well.
Any action these(killer/survivor) days will give anyone a bad name, tbh
Some people enjoy being scummy, not much you can do.

When u post Killer story, u get something like "yeah yeah, pretend to be bad, cool fake story bro" from survivor main, since urself have Nurse pic profile.
Im waiting for those to come and see what they're going to comment.

True, some people think any action gives anyone a bad name, but this is actually just BM, no two ways about it.
Probably nothing, if we're being honest.

Since most red rank survivors are boosted (due to easy ranking and current rank reset) so are most killers which means we currently have a lot of "fake red rank killers" who play and behave like yellow ranks.

Yeah, i think people who do that are venting their frustration about a previous match
Very few people seem to have the mindset of when a game is frustrating them to stop playing that game for a while

There are only 2 instances where I will ever hit someone on hook.
- Survivor I'm hitting was being extremely toxic through the chases, so I'll camp tf out of them until they die while nodding, shaking, or hitting.
- I'm playing Demo and I just love his roar so I'll hit the very last survivor constantly as they're being sacrificed.

Usually, killers get flack for gameplay-related behavior (camping, etc.), which eclipses the bm'ing instances in the survivors' perception . However, I probably see as much bm'img coming from killers as I do from survivors.
It's a general issue, not role-specific.
It's not unusual in the red ranks. I wouldn't say it happens every other game, but you'll come across that regularly.

Well, to me, this is so rare that it warranted a thread. It's one of the few times I've seen a killer BM for no reason. Survivors, on the other hand...

Shocked you didn't get gg ez messages lol T-bagging toxic swfs also give swf teams a bad name. It's a shame the game is like this.

I've seen killers do this to the Survivors that manage to avoid them while getting objectives done. Not sure what it is about not seeing a Survivor that pisses them off so much.
I had a Spirit yesterday that kept hitting me on the hook when I didn't do anything toxic. Start of match Haunted Ground goes off, someone is downed and kills self on hook. Gen with 2 people is finished, one hops on gen with me while other us downed and hooked - she too kills self on hook. I start working on a gen while other survivor is chased, he's downed and I make my way over, unhook him while Spirit is away and go work on different gen. He's chased again, downed, hooked. This time Spirit sticks around a little longer and hits him couple times while looking around the hook. Again I save when she goes away and go find a gen to work on. She again chases and downs the survivor, this time slugging him. I make my way over and pop him up. He goes and starts working on a gen I started while I work on a different one. Pretty sure she ignores him while looking for me. I avoid being seen a little longer but eventually she gets a glimpse of me. Chases me, I get a pallet stun in, downs me. Just stands hitting me while I'm on the hook. Teammate finishes a gen, that gets her attention and she goes to check it. Teammate comes and gets me off hook. She goes after me, hooks me and just hits me until I'm sacrificed, teammate escapes.

Probably just a upset child. Or he got bullied in his last match. All you can really do is ignore it.

It's actually the other way around for me tbh. A lot of killers claim t-bagging and using emotes or clicking the flashlight is BM by default, even though the vast majority of players use that just to gain some attention from the killer, making them focus on them. So its extremely easy to claim a survivor is BM'ing when they actually didnt(however, those who do, are extremely annoying). However, its extremely easy to know when a killer is BM'ing. They always instantly claim ez after a game, even though all 5 gens were done and they won due to gate placements being in their favor. Camp whoever they catch and always smack them multiple times.

And why do you think they do those things as opposed to, say, letting the killer get a free hit on them or missing skill checks? Because it's BM. The whole purpose is to annoy your opponent into making a mistake.

Unfortunately I get killers that like to BM all the time. Weirdly I don't see it from survivors too often. Of course that could just be a platform or regional difference. I believe your on PC from the UK if I remember correctly. Whereas I'm on console from the US.
As a side note the totems on the Dead Dawg Saloon are very well hidden. It's not surprising you'd miss one. I did some kyf games with my cousin to try to learn the spawn points. First game we literally couldn't find the last totem. Though I'm pretty sure we figured out where it had spawned in our third go around.

I'm not in the UK, no, but close enough.

Ah. I thought it was somewhere in the region but I couldn't remember for sure.

I have a post about ######### killers to and everybody told me to just get to higher ranks lol. I'm rank 1 and the killers were also reds. So idk how all these people get so lucky to "never have people like this above rank 10"

It's weird when people get cocky when they've done nothing even close to great.

well, like I said, most percieved "BM" from survivors that I have been accused of doing, was mainly to get the killers attention to start chasing me. An example is clicking the flashlight like a madman while nearby someone else who is chased. Or using an emote to taunt the killer a tiny bit. Taunting and BM'ing are 2 different things. The BM I'd say would be survivor side is flashlighting on every possible vault and pallet, almost everything else will depend on intent. If I try to stay alive for as long as possible, I'd have to blind the killer from time to time to create distance. But if I know I can easily loop without needing to blind the killer, yet still do it, then yeah, it would be BM.
