Let's argue: Character with the most intriguing lore.

Welcoming all hot takes, unpopular opinions, and tough questions. What killer do you think has the most intriguing lore? My pick is Kate, I think it is very interesting how she got caught from the clown.

And unhook was changed to unlock by auto correct, and editing isn't working right now...great.

As for taking the post seriously, I'm going to have to agree with you by saying Kate has the most intriguing lore out of all characters, with Zarina and Jeff close behind.

definitely jake Kappa -> Rich daddy issues -> Run away from home -> Get lost in the woods.

    Best lore ever

Would have to agree with Kate as well but have the disagree with both zarina's and Jeff's. Both lores are too long and are boring as well. They should really keep it simple.

I’m a Meg main (runner myself) and I can’t lie hers may be the worst, “she went running in the woods one day,” the end.

I haven’t read much of the newer survivors I’ll chime in later. As far as killer with the best I would say Hag is so brutal and revenge minded it’s good.

Huntress has great lore now that it's being expanded so I'd say her but to be fair I can't remember clown's and his gets praised a lot

I love the huntress lore and the nurse lore. The hag also has good lore but huntress and nurse are my favs

I dont read the lore and probably won't ever, same with the tome story voice clips, much like the charms in the rift I just do not care, it really does not any value for me as it does nothing gameplay wise.

This is not an rpg and dbd will never have some amazing deep story to gain my interest.

If others enjoy the lore and back stories cool. It is just not for me.

For me it would be Plague. I’d love for her to have an archive story soon.

I just want to correct you that Kate was never caught by the Clown. The Clown isn't even mentioned in Kate's lore at all. The entity took her.

The Clown was only shown observing Kate in the chapter trailer to reveal both of their characters.

I'd say Huntress' lore, Spirit's lore and Oni's lore really interested me.

Yeah, my favourite character in terms of lore is Oni, and Yui.

Jane. Because it doesn't mention anywhere that she keeps missing her fridge full of fast food

Deathslinger always intrigued me. His Irish heritage is relatable which includes the discrimination which was seen with Irish immigrants during the famine. His whole redemption story and how he used his intelligence to create masterful devices. How he negotiatated deals and got betrayed due to greed which is very common irl.

Zarina? For real? The generic SJW dream which is just a carbon copy of Jane's? Sure, its more than Meg's and Nea's combined, but it was so unimaginative.

I read the lore basically one time and then not again. I know mostly the main part but forget other parts. Kate’s seems to be pretty cool though, what I can gather in this thread, I couldn’t even remember that the entity was that directly mentioned. And iirc I liked Megs backstory, but since she was one of the first there wasn’t much to it. And Claudette’s was always nice too.

Survivor: Adam, I really like the idea of him being a go-getter immigrant that just wont give up on any problem he has, I am looking forward for a tome on him, he needs more love

Killer: This is a harder one, there are just so many killers with an interesting lore, but if I had to pick one it definitely has to be Anna, its a sad story and really goes to show how much of a danger Anna really is; She does not realize she is doing evil, to her, survivors are little more than prey, because she thaught herself that every living being was that, a target.

Second would probably be Caleb, the take they put on western horror was interesting, I mean, he is not your average gunslinging bandit that robs banks and assaults passerbys, he is a mad inventor seeking revenge for all the evil that has been done to him in the past.

Clown, hands down. It's really well put together and really gives you a feel for how gross and vile his character truly is.

Second favorite would probably be Ghostface. BHVR really knows how to write lore for straight up serial killers really well.

    Hag.

How she escaped those cannibals and took her revenge... literally enticed me to main her.

    Caleb's is my favorite.

I enjoy Kate and Jeff's but what happens to his pup bums me out.

Nurse I enjoy. Also makes me think of my boyfriends grandmother. She had worked at Danvers State Mental Hospital and would never talk about it. Would tell stories about everywhere else but not one from there.

Ghostface, love everything about how his backstory and how sadistic his character is

Feng Min: The story of one's own drive to be the best and prove her wrong were basically lead to her own destruction. The saddest part is despite her estranging herself from her family she still considered them relevant enough that she was concerned that they would consider her a failure if she messed up with her gaming career.

Spirit: Honestly I love the idea that the entity not only twists people even before it gets its grasp on them but it shows off of just have vastly intelligent The Entity can be. Especially considering it was able to switch it's focus when it saw more potential in Rin.
