If playing with stretched res is cheating (and according to not_queen it is) then playing with ######### connection or VPN is cheating as well. So...they get back what they give? :)

Is there any way to fix this? Ik there's a popular hack client going around rn but idk how fast BHVR is working to fix it. Really shows how much of an advantage being able to see what killer you're going against is tho.

It's possible that it was. I've been seeing alot of Doctores lately. I've been thinking about running Calm Spirit again to counter. But yeah, it's highly unlikely.

It can be done without any hack or outside program, BHVR actually has to change something on their end.
Calm spirit isn’t a bad perk, it counters Dr, clown and even to a some degree Nurse, Billy and Oni because they usually run Infectious Fright.
Its just seeing 3/4 survivors with it when you do a last minute switch from Doctor it looks pretty suspicious

Yeah Myers and Ghostface both tend to create that reaction. Making survivors freak out or jump scaring them as they grab them off a gen. Which with the current knowing what killer someone is going against going around. I bet the scare jumps are even more epic or fun. Thinking they are going against a Oni or Trapper, someone they can the terror radius of, only to be shocked and surprise as they get grab off a gen.

It wasnt a jump scare per say because I knew a stealth killer was onto me due to spinechill, but when I'm hiding and havent seen them yet to get my bearings about which direction theyd be coming from or anything and all I hear is that breathing as if he's right over my shoulder...yikes.

I think this might be possible on console too. Last night I had the same group dodge me multiple times while I sat in the lobby as a Spirit. It was a 4 stack, the pings were fine, nothing to dodge, yet they left within 10 seconds of me joining the lobby, then instantly left when all 4 popped up against about 30 seconds later.

They can check your username if you're appearing online, on PS4 anyway

In my opinion the survivors should see who they are playing against, or at least the name of the player they're playing against. Because there are some players I don't want to play against because i know they'll use a mori for me because they don't like me in general. Or the killer shouldn't see the survivors and also only the names. Because why is it fair that the killer can bring specific perks against survivors because of the items and killers can decide against who he is playing but survs shouldn't decide against who they're playing and they can't take perks they want because they are not allowed to know anything of the killer?

You can't do that on Xbox anymore since dedi's. People don't even come up in recents after the game most of the time. There is absolutely 0 way for them to know who I was.

the way that they know is there's a third-party software that tells you who the killer is in the lobby, what perks they're using, what map your going to etc. the reason i know this is my friend found out about it and we had a big discussion over how it ruins the game lol

I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm telling you. You just posted a screenshot that anyone can look up now that they have the name of the program and download. I've seen ppl get the hammer for doing less than what you just did on this very subject.

I understand you meant to help, but it can just as easily get the attention of people meaning to use it. Frankly...I didnt know it was giving THAT much info. Thats nuts... I knew there was exploits to see the killer, which is why I've been doin last second swaps myself. Perks selected though is news to me. Anyone using this would never get caught off guard by NOED or bloodwarden for example. Heres to hopin it gets patched quickly.

Does it actually say what map you're heading to and perks they're using? AFAIK it only says who/what killer it is and not their perks used.

No one is saying it is impossible to cheat on console. But it is far more rare and difficult. The quantity of cheating that takes place on PC games compared to console isn't even close.

Show me a game, where you used it, and you escaped.

I find if you equip an ebony Mori with a disliked killer with the best add ons and noed etc then you will see people who are clearly using this just leave straight away and then when you get survivors in the lobby who stay then you can assume they aren't using it and change to what you actually wanted to play. It is very annoying though and needs to be dealt with as a priority.

The amount you see surprised me as well. I just thought they could see which killer you’d play as, and that at least had a temporary fix by swapping last minute.
How it say ahead of time which map you’re going to I thought was determined at the load in screen? The picture has been deleted but it also shows things like 3/5 totems left, 5 vaults etc that makes me think it just counts in game.
