    I've only been playing this game a few months and while I can understand your frustration (because I've certainly been there and still kind of am because of this current matchmaking system), I have to completely disagree about it not being fun. When this game fires on all cylinders it's an absolute blast. The downside as a new player is that no one killer or survivor has the best perks, meaning it's worth your time to unlock teachable perks, which forces a lot of unnecessary grinding.

    As a new player hopping into a four-year-old game, it would certainly be nice if I had a leg up on accruing bloodpoints. Quite frankly I'm amazed that bhvr hasn't incorporated more blood hunt events.

    I'll admit it's taken me a while to unlock multiple teachables, but I'm finally getting to a point to where I can hold my own as both a killer and a survivor. And now I'm starting to have more fun than just pure frustration.

    I agree, but survivors are souless husk of the devs that don't want to be challanged

    At higher ranks the game is more balanced and you see a lot more diverse killer base.

    Once you get below rank 7 or so the good survivors have mastered looping, pallets, flashlights, vaults, etc. At that level a strong team of 4 can torment and just harass most killers.

    This in turn drives most killers to play one of the more mobile killers who’s power helps stop some of that harassing. This is why most matches at red are against spirit, billy, Freddy.

    It happens mostly when SWF. A tip, facecamper bubba.

    Agitation

    Insidious

    Iron Gasp

    Any perk you want but i recommend Corrupt intervention

    But if you arent a piece of ######### like me i think you can try this one:

    Monitor and Abuse: Small terror radios to find and get in the survivors easily;

    Infectious Fright: Since that when you down a survivor the monitor and abuse will still be active you can find more survivors in a bigger area;

    Corrupt Intervention: It helps to bring survivors in your direction in certain maps, or just gives you a map set time for trapper;

    Thanatophobia: It helps to slow down gens a bit, if you want you can change it for sloppy butcher that will helps to keep survivors injured for a longer time

    Great points! thanks! I just don't understand that no matter what you bring killer just isn't fun it;s frustrating. I wish there was more variety

    then you turn on survivor and it's a breeze and gets boring that way

    Now?

    Mate. You are in the golden age of DBD. Killer actually are somewhat fun now. Killers used to be slow-like 50% slower for all actions. you think hooking people and vaulting slow now. oh boy- most of the base perks did literally one thing. Sloppy Butcher hasically just made survivors bleed, that's it. Many of the base killers addons were in dire need of reworks-trapper and wraith- and freddy basically had to watch someone go to sleep before he could do anything with his main power beeing slow down and knowing people are out of his terror radius.

    See those windows, you know the ones that are boarded up. All of them used to be open or at least a butt load more of them were.

    pallets and maps were worse back then.

    If you are getting looped then I suggestion that you try to a full pallet build. Spirit fury and Enduring alone lets you laugh at pallets. Possibly with something like play with your food for extra speed if you're ok with giving up chases with obsession. I find that when I get looped..especially as Oni the main reason si because killers...especially big killers get caught up on tiny unseen things or objects in the loop that dramatically slows them down if not out right stop them. I prefer the old collision since this wasn't an issue prior but that change probably fixed something.

    But you are right. This game needs a lot of updates. ESPECIALLY to the interactables survivors have-something besides pallets- hiding places and objectives/game modes.

    yes! omg "ESPECIALLY to the interactables survivors have-something besides pallets- hiding places and objectives/game modes."

    it would add way more lasting flavor if you will..to the gameplay of dbd. There's so many examples to build from here

    Currently I've been having less issues than before, the game is way more balanced and bad survivors are easier to down, currently the only maps I struggle to down people are haddonfield and ormond but any other map and I'm good to go.

    The only problem that I've had is trying meme/fun builds and getting gen rushed, but still it is easier than before.

    You're welcome! One thing that will help immensely is to watch uploaded streams on YouTube from streamers like not Otzdarva, Ohmwrecker, or TrU3Ta1ent. But if I had to pick one I would go with Otz because he does a lot of uploads that teach you the best perks for each killer and survivor, even if you're just starting out.

    I’m sure survivors feel the same about killers camping and tunneling almost every game. No side is worst than the other, both have toxic bullies. Anyone who plays both sides enough would realize this. This pointing fingers trend is so cringe, anyone who does it has clear bias.

    I disagree, I feel like survivors get it much easier as its a 4 on 1 rather than a 1 on 4 for killer. Nothing feels worse than not being able to catch 4 survivors just to have them tbag at thr exit gate.

    I've experienced this first hand. This is unfortunately the biggest downfall about being a new player in dead by daylight. The only way to hold your own as a killer against more experienced survivors is to engage in a lot of grinding to unlock more perks from other killers. Obviously playing your favorite killer repeatedly will help, but there's only so much you can do without adequate perks to counteract a well oiled swf.

    stop whining and get good, I could whine all day about how playing survivor is unfun because I get killers with good perks that know how to play the game effectively

    btw I just had a 10 minute queue to vs an Oni with infectious fright that basically ended the match with the first time he used his power, survivor OP

    I'm having a lot of fun playing killer. It's currently easier than it ever was. I can nearly play every killer I want and at least get 2 kills.

    Mate at some point there isn't being biased, the obj is stale and there needs to be more to do with all these amazing characters and maps that we have limited interaction
